We've been service members plan since the middle of September and noticed our heating and cooling…read morewas inefficient. Electric bills were sky high and KWH usage was outrageous for our 1188 square foot home. We had Accurate out to service our unit as soon as we bought our home. Everything 'checked out.' We called them back out this past February because throughout the winter our shampoo bottles were freezing up in the shower and our thermostat was set to 66 but the heat gun we had purchased read a few rooms in the home to be as low as 54 degrees. Accurate came back out (same technician) and said all he could find was a dirty furnace filter. I found this hard to believe since it had been changed in the last 30 days. We called Eco out for a second opinion. He found our refrigerant to be under 2.5 lbs remaining, a failed TX valve and a coil that needed replaced. Being service members of Accurate's, we decided to call them back to our home to repair. The manager denied this being overlooked by his tech and still charged us $1258. The unit is only 3 years old so parts were under warranty but he still charged us for the refrigerant and the labor. This is absolute fraud and I'm ashamed that businesses continue operating when they display this much disregard for their customers. Not only has Accurate caused discomfort for my family for the longevity we have lived in this home, but they've also allowed us to pay electric bills as high as $600 per month, wasted our time, betrayed our trust in HVAC companies, and probably shaved years of life off our unit. The only true amenity we had when purchasing our home in Frankfort was this HVAC unit because it was so new. Now that our unit is repaired, my husband and I will be doing our due diligence in finding a company we can TRUST and we will be doing business elsewhere

Avoid This Company -- They Operate Multiple LLCs to Hide Bad Reviews…read more I hired Duct Bee Clean (also operating as Airbenders Duct Cleaning and Maven Air Care) for duct cleaning in my 100-year-old home in London, Ohio. They quoted a low price and then aggressively upsold me on UVC lights and an antimicrobial spray, bringing the total to $1,400. The two subcontractors they sent had no apparent training and clearly didn't know what they were doing. Instead of properly cleaning the ducts, they blew thick black soot and dust out of the vents and all over my upstairs. It covered: My master bedroom The bathroom My infant daughter's room The black soot was EVERYWHERE. FLoors, walls, furniture, and bedding. It was a complete disaster. When I contacted the company to complain and ask them to come back and clean up the mess they created, they refused to take any responsibility, no apology, no offer to fix it, nothing . What makes this worse is that this operation is run by John Raele out of Winchester, Kentucky. He runs the business under multiple LLCs and brand names (Duct Bee Clean, Airbenders, Maven Air Care, etc.), and every single one of them has an F rating with the Better Business Bureau. It appears they deliberately spin up new company names and Facebook pages specifically to avoid the impact of bad reviews and complaints. This was not only a waste of $1,400, but they left my family, including a baby breathing in fine black dust for days. I now have to hire a professional restoration company to do the deep HEPA cleaning they should have prevented. Stay far away from any company connected to John Raele / Duct Bee Clean / Airbenders / Maven Air Care. They are not a legitimate duct cleaning business they're an upsell machine that leaves messes and then hides behind new LLCs when customers complain.

Last company I used was very nice, but it was a hefty bill and it took a handful of days for them to come over, determine what was wrong, then a few more days to order the part. This was also in the summer time when I love having ice in my drinks. This time I sent out what I thought the job required via Yelp to several companies. Larue Mechanical Services was one of the first to respond. On top of that they were able to determine what the likely cause and fix was (basically just replacing it) and give me a total estimate cost of the repair before they came over. Other companies were able to provide me their service fees but their hourly rate would vary depending on the job. This isn't uncommon from what I can tell, but I like the fact that Larue was able to give me what they thought it would cost. I understand not all jobs can work like that as repairs can be more complicated and determined on site, but it was part of why I chose them. They were communicative, got the part ordered asap, and replaced it all in 2-3 days. The repair happened on a Friday, and turns out, there was a small error in replacing it. The new ice maker was just dripping water all over and freezing. I let them know this on a Saturday and, despite being closed, responded that they would have to come back out. They responded to several texts about what to do in the meantime to stop the water from building up any more (again while they were closed on a weekend). They were, unfortunately, swamped all day Monday with emergency calls from the weekend. As much as I wanted my machine repaired, I would not classify it as an emergency either. They were able to come out on Tuesday and get it all fixed up though. The final bill was just a little cheaper that what they previously estimated, which was nice. The final bill was also about significantly cheaper than the last repair I had on this freezer. I am going to call Larue first if I ever have an appliance repair need again (which I am sure is a matter of "when" not "if"). The gentleman who did the repairs also took a little time to give my cats and dogs a little attention to let them know he was a safe visitor, which was very nice to see as well.
