Fraudulent billing practices. I was billed for an office visit and a hospital visit, same appointment, in the office on Emerick Blvd. After talking to the billing department, it seems that Emerick Blvd "always bills that way", although there was no acknowledgement that this was simply wrong. Fantastic Doctors! My Knee is better than ever! I went to Coordinated Health to see Dr. Luchetti about my knee pain. I cycle and enjoy the gym, but this sudden issue had me out of commission. Dr. Luchetti and the staff at Coordinated were fantastic. Dr. Luchetti really is an amazing and smart doctor. My knee is better without surgery, and i am back on my bike! Today I went to the 2300 Highland Avenue Campus with bad knee pain waited 40 minutes. Got in the room. Dr. came in an asked some questions and felt i was being rushed. All I got was script for pain and good bye. I went there because of pain you would think "lets get an Xray" would be one thing to do. This is a billing issue. I had payment plans with coordinated health and I have been paying regularly. Every time I got a statement it looked like a bill. I called the billing department and asked if it was indeed a bill and they told me it was a statement and on auto deduct and the next thing I know I am at collections. Here is my problem. I have been saving for a house and I am on top of all of my bills. I believe I was sent to collections because Coordinated Health is merging with Lehigh Valley and wanted to close their books out. This is crap. Of course now I have to spend the entire $256.55 at once and you guys blemished my credit score which may seem like no big deal but it is because this is deceitful and morally wrong. I am so turned off by the unnecessary tests and crappy doctors. If I had a ton of money I would hire an auditor and sue them for ripping off hard working people. This is crap. I am paying the bill immediately to avoid losing points on my credit score but will take this up with the billing office. We left coordinated health a few months ago and switched to Saint Lukes. Just don't go here. Whilst the doctor I spoke to was personable, their follow up and basic ability to communicate to patients or each other was abysmal. I got blood drawn and 10 days later, I am still purple---cheers to the nurse for cheerily calling the needle "monstrous." The nurse completely forgot to take my stats and had to call me back in once I had left to get my blood pressure taken. When I got my report mailed back to me about the visit, they listed my weight as 35lbs heavier than I am. Maybe I'm a little vain, but if you can't get something as basic as that correct then my confidence isn't really that inspired. I left several voice mails and had to directly email the doctor before they eventually (over a week later) got back to me about a question I had. So, no. Don't even bother. I had both hips replaced and a knee replaced over a 10 year span. Each time was a wonderful experience. They handle all arrangements and make it as easy as possible for you. The hospital on Highland Ave is clean and very well staffed. Everyone treated me with compassion and respect. I can't say enough about the excellent care. Went to PT there also. Same excellent care. I took my daughter to the walk-in center on Emrick Blvd. with an injured finger and waited an hour and a half before going to the desk to see what was taking so long. I was told they would let "them" know. A few minutes later the manager walked out to tell me the doctor was running behind schedule and would not see us in a timely manner and that a PA was on the way from another office. I questioned why we were not told about the issue when we checked in and he was not sure why and just said nothing could be done and we would have to keep waiting. Since my daughter was leaving the next day to fly to Florida for a sporting event and needed to be seen, we left and went to Patient First where we were done in about 30 minutes: we got checked in, xrays, and saw doctor. I would never recommend CH Emrick to anyone, this was a terrible experience and handled very poorly. There is no concern for peoples health nor time. read more

EXPENSIVE! They see you quickly and are very prompt. While I think the care is good, just be ready for the bills. They bill as a hospital so you get the professional and hospital charges for every visit! When you call their billing office they can't explain the charges to you and don't return your calls. I would look to another place that is not billing as a hospital. I had a foot fracture and a follow up visit was $146 and that was after my excellent blue cross insurance payments. read more

I went to CH for a very painful frozen shoulder. The doctor rushed me in and out. He tried to prescribe narcotics for my pain, NO THANKS. I decided not to go for my follow up and went to OAA instead and got much better care there. I will never ever go to Coordinated Health again. Let's just say 6 months and $600 later I'm still paying bills and no one can give any good reason what they are for. Just received another one for $120. read more

Stay away. They provide additional Hospital / Surgery center costs for basic office visits. They will then charge $339 for an x-ray where you can get one for $30. Incompetent rude staff. Beware that if you are going in for an outpatient office visit, you will be charged double, once for the visit and again for the facility. They won't tell you this on the phone with you make your appointment- they'll wait until you are in the office and in pain. They'll make you sign a paper acknowledging their policy before you can see the doctor, and then you'll get a ridiculous bill in the mail. read more

Very poor customer service, can't reach anyone to help with an emergency after surgery, ended up going to the emergency room because they could not be bothered, didn't have discharge planned after surgery, sent my wife home with no information or recovery plan after full knee replacement, just told us she had to leave. Had complications and could not get anyone on the phone, when I did reach the PA she didn't seam interested in out problems, took her to the ER to get help when coordinated health could care less. read more

I made an appt due to severe pain. I contacted my insurance provider to make sure CH was in network and I was told yes. I went to see the Dr who was very nice and took his time. I then received 2 bills stating I was charged an office.fee and a facility fee. I called billing and was basically told my insurance should have told me and that there are signs posted. As a patient in pain they should have the courtesy of explaining their billing practices. I do not recommend CH due to their billing practice. It's to bad all these places are after, is the money. There no longer is any patient care. Shame on CH for taking advantage of a patient in pain. read more

Well I appreciated both the doctors I have seen, but this organization is deceptive in it's billing practices. I called specifically for the cost of a physical exam for my daughter, age 16, and was told $180. I also called about the pap and pelvic examination cost. I was told $185 to visit with and have that exam. Like other reviewer's before I received two invoices. The first one was for $490 for a 12 minute interaction with daughter. The second invoice is for $185 PLUS $250 for hopsital charges! And this does not include the enormous charges for the mammogram!!! $1300. And of course it's not covered by my insurance. I'm told that if I had paid I the same day that I could have the original prices. But now that the Insurance company has been billed, that it no longer counts and I have to pay everything. So... With a $6500 deductible, all of this is out of pocket. I don't suggest this hospital, because you pay for all of it wether you see a doctor or have major surgery. Went there for an ankle injury and the doctor didn't even examine me and told me it wasn't broken. Two days last I got an X-ray and it was broken. Also watch your bills closely because they double billed me $20. I'm assuming if you do that to enough people you make a lot of extra money. I was sent to Coordinated Health's walk-in clinic for treatment of my son's wrestling-related skin infection. The doctor couldn't distinguish between 2 types of infections, one of which was viral and kept him from wrestling for 10 days. Paid $97 for antivirals and nobody else who looked at the rash thought it was the viral one. Then I found out they charged a facility fee on top of the doctor's fee--it ended up being $430 for 2 measly visits!!!!! Over $600 for all the medications and the culture. The culture for the viral infection was negative and they STILL wouldn't clear him to wrestle until the 10 days were up because "sometimes the cultures don't show everything." I have been to coordinated health 3 times in the last 6 months for follow up appointments regarding a work related injury. Every time I have had to wait 30-60min to see the doctor and I have had appointments. I understand medical practices are busy and demanding as I work in the healthcare field myself. However I hear the staff congregating and having non related work conversations in the hall while I wait with my infant in the waiting room/patient room to be seen. read more

I have been going there for about 8 years for the better percentage of my medical needs. I've had 4 surgeries, epidurals, physical therapy etc. and never had issues. I went recently for a carpal tunnel release and the doctor flat out refused to work with me on recovery time as it pertained to my Short Term Disability. I have a manual job, drive a manual car and after 4 weeks now am still unable to write in a legible manner and still have twitching. I cannot understand why the doctor refused to give me the minimum of 2 weeks recovery as dictated by my company, but have now been docked pay and I am still only about 75% of executing my duties. I would suggest seeking help for Carpal Tunnel elsewhere. read more

Although I feel my doctor was excellent BEWARE you will receive two bills one for the facility and one for the doctor and any other thing you need to have done. You will be charged a facility fee every time you go back there even for a re-check, It's unbelievable and DISHONEST to say the least. Don't go there for asthma symptoms when you're having serious trouble breathing, they will make you wear a mask which causes you to have more breathing issues because the doctors are afraid of sick people. I was made to wear a mask today even after telling them I was having breathing trouble in which made me cough a lot. I ended up having a minor panic attack because of it to where my pulse was extremely high and then after telling them my issues with the mask I was rude to and the doctor did nothing for me at all. I've never had to wear a mask there before when having breathing issues. I get it for people who have flu like symptoms but not when someone is strictly having breathing issues and doesn't even have a fever. I will be looking for a new doctors office to go to who isn't afraid to be around sick people. I am a teacher and can't make my students wear masks when they're sick because that's part of my job. I had hip replacement surgery in April, 2019 at the Bethlehem Highland Hospital. The care upon arrival by a RN and anesthesiologist was caring, informative and calmed any anxiety before surgery I had. Surgeon also stopped by for a final review. I spent two nights here where there are only 20 patient rooms (we were mostly hip and knee patients) and the ratio of nursing staff was very high. Hospitalist there 24 hours. Concern was paramount for any discomfort and assistance constantly available for anything needed. I was also allocated to a Case Care Manager before, throughout and after returning home. Honestly, there were moments when I felt I was in a five star resort! Excellent room, food on demand added to the most important feature -- excellent surgical team. I couldn't have been more pleased with this experience. So much so that I will definitely have a second hip replacement with any qualms at all. read more

I always thought Coordinated Health was an excellent place, but you won't get the same service today you did when it was a small company when all the employees knew each other and were friendly. Beware that when you go in today, you will receive TWO bills. One for their "hospital facility" and one for the doctor who sees you. I used to work at their original East Stroudsburg office back in college--it was SUCH a great place back then--to work and be a patient. Myself and several family members and friends were patients back then. I even went once as a patient after they opened their new East Stroudsburg office. So, naturally, when I injured my calf working out at the end of October, I went in to see them at the Emerick Boulevard office Nov 6. My how things have changed. VERY bureaucratic these days. No personal treatment, just business as usual. VERY VERY different from the Coordinated Health I was used to back in the early to mid 2000's. My leg was looked at, the doctor came in briefly. I was given an x-ray, told I tore the muscle and to take ibuprofen 3x/day until it felt better. Then I received the bill, and instead of the usual $45 copay for seeing a specialist, I received TWO bills. One for the "hospital" and one for the doctor. Note, I was seen in an OFFICE, NOT a hospital. The double charge is outrageous. So, now on top of a $45 copay I have a $220 hospital bill! And on top of that, my muscle feels NO better today than it did 4 months ago. So, if any of you reading this can recommend a small, private practice that might take care of me better, I would GREATLY appreciate it. Coordinated Health was once an amazing place, but my most recent visit proves that they are no different than any other bureaucratic facility that ushers you and and ushers you out as a number. I had made an appt for something minor with one of their doctors. I also needed a new dr so I also wanted to use the session as a trial run meet and greet. They were an hour and a half late. I eventually made it to the room. I was told that the physicians assistant would be treating me. I asked for the doctor. The PA came back and said he was busy with another patient. I was treated by the pa. On my way out of the room, I saw the doctor sitting there. While I know that doctors are busy, I should have been called to at least allow me to decide to take the appt or not. Overall the experience was poor. The physicians assistant was good and I appreciated her attention but I won't be back. In speaking with another patient in the waiting room, he said that they use the pa often and he was not a fan. While I am sure that there are great doctors and people that work there, the relationship between doctor and patient needs work. read more

DO NOT use the Coordinated Health system. The physicians and therapists are good however the support system is a nightmare if you have an HMO. The office staff are inaccessible and give misinformation about the status of your referral. I am facing thousand of dollars of bills because the staff told me that the necessary paperwork was in the system and it turned out it was not. When you call to speak with a manager you must go thru a central number and then are transferred to an answering machine that requests a detailed message and then cuts you off. The office staff can not find out information on your account on the computer system and you get different answers from different staff. On one contact I kept being transferred to the surgical coordinator and the phone would ring without any option to leave message. After repeated attempts I called the central number and after a puzzled response was told that person had not responded either and I was finally told that the person was no longer employed by them. Apparently that person did not complete the necessary paperwork. As of today I continue to await a response from the office manger at the Emerick Blvd. site. Last contact was one month ago and that office manger assured me my paperwork was ok and that she had flagged my account to keep an eye on it. I have had my Medicare Advantage insurance for many years and have never had this problem before. Its too bad because the professional services are excellent. There are too many other orthopedic providers in the Lehigh Valley to deal with this nonsense. read more

Terrible! My husband went here with abdominal pain to the point that he couldn't get up from bed or a chair without help. This was going on for 2 weeks. After a cat scan and bloodwork he is perfectly healthy. Sent home with no medication and no further plan of action. I recently switched doctors from one health network to Coordinated Health. I did not realize how GRIMY of a company they are until I received two bills in the mail. One is with an orange stripe meaning the bill is for the Doctor and the other, Green striped bill for the Facility. Cost is way higher then the average Lehigh Valley Doctor not affiliated with Coordinated Health because you are being charged Hospital Fees on top of your regular office visit. read more

This is such a huge conglomeration that no one knows what the other is doing. I had a billing issue from a few years ago-went in for a "physical" (allowed one per year for my insurance) and they billed it as a "follow up" to the previous years physical. How stupid is that? It was because I had discussed back pain at the first physical....why wouldn't we discuss something that had to do WITH MY HEALTH at my next one? This year I went in for a "physical" and had a work physical filled out while there. I GRILLED the receptionist that this would be billed as my ANNUAL physical. Got a bill in the mail shortly after....calling billing is the biggest joke-I called right away, waited a week to follow up (nothing had been done) so waited another week (still nothing), so I drove my ass over to Highland Ave. to discuss the bill (luckily the receptionist who checked me in was there). She helped clear it up and called the next day to say that I don't have to pay the bill. It really is amazing how much time effort and energy needs to go into setting the record straight. Just got my left knee replaced by Dr Meade and his staff at the Highland Ave Coordinated Health facility and I can't say enough about how well it went. From pre-op to registration to pre-op to surgery to post-op to therapy and release, it was all a positive experience. The staff is both friendly and professional. Never go to any Coordinated Health facilities, their prices are horrific. I have a high deductible plan, so I am used to paying full cost for visits at the beginning of the year. Their cost was ridiculous though. I saw a doctor over a condition I've been dealing with; after less than five minutes, he said there was nothing he could do for me, and that was that. I got a bill in the mail for $212 a month later. It was split up in two bills, one for the doctor, and one for a facility fee. $212 for less than 5 minutes and no solutions. I will never go here again, and I would recommend going elsewhere if you are considering here. read more
