Construction cones were not secure and shattered my window during a storm. No call back after inquiry.

From the ER through inpatient, there was not a moment that I could complain about the level of care…read morethat went into the treatment that I received. The teams were organized and efficient, even over the holiday week and snow storm, they were all locked in on my care and kept me, and my support team, fully in the know.

On May 17th, I was transported via ambulance to Marlton Virtua Hospital. Jeremiah and Morgan were…read morethe EMTS or Paramedics. I was not well so I am not sure their title . They were terrific. I was scared and sick. When they came to my house,my pup was barking with all the visitors. They didn't blink and he is a big guy. By the time they got me in the ambulance, they had calmed Wilson too. The thing is, they didn't just transport me and dump me off t the hospital. They stayed with me till the Emergency Nurse came to take over. This helped. It's hard to be alone when you are not well.. I appreciated their care and kindness. Then the RN, I think Tiara? Began her professional attentive care calmed me. When you can't breath it creates fear and she was quick to give me care. Jade was already waiting to do a chest x-ray and was as kind as could be. They don't want you to drink anything, when you first arrive till they determine your care. But when you are struggling to breathe you become very uncomfortably dry. My Nurse gave me a sponge wipe for my lips. It sounds small but it so was not. Dr. Sing was terrific and efficient. Answered my questions and admitted me to the hospital. I was eligible for hospital at home because I am a senior . An excellent choice. I had been in this program before. I have asthma that can get out of control and they have been able to stabilize me before. The care you can get at home without being in the hospital is a big plus. A virtual doctor visit every day and 2 RN visits give you the support that you need without the trauma of being hospitalized. The Doctors were fantastic. I can't remember all their names but I do remember a Dr Leu and Dr Malek. There were 2 others and I am sorry I cant remember their names. The Doctors did not just give me medical directives, they partnered with me and planned with me. Very noble. Thank you. My Nurses, Christine, Michael, Joe, Sarah and Emily, all very thorough and compassionate. Even the couriers who delivered needed medicine, equipment and even food were prompt friendly and professional. I am feeling better and those partners are the reason why. Wilson Cheese made a bunch new friends. It's nice when the folks are caring for you, accept and understand your extended family. Thanks to you all.

They immediately took my info and Nurse Tim immediately did an EKG. After a short wait they did a chest x-ray, Cat scan, bloodwork. They saw a blood clot in lower right lung. Admitted me and probably saved my life. The 2nd floor PCU unit nurses Colline,Megan,Bria were so attentive, kind, and helpful. They are really kind people who care. Julia the phlebotomist was so gentle taking blood, she even gently squeezed my hand after to comfort me because she took almost 5 vials of blood. Mel the tech was sweet. The housekeepng people were also kind and made sure each morning the room was cleaned and mopped and told me be careful until it dryed. The dietary knew immediately to hold the salt in my diet and reminded me each day. Sarah the echotechnologist was super sweet and through. Rachel the ultrasound tech was kind and nicely conversational.Dr David and Dr Fisher were very kind and thorough and available.. Dr Shiff the pulmonologist was so thorough, intelligent and answered thoroughly all my many questions. i can't say enough good about the staff here. Nurse Megan even said it was a pleasure to work with me as a patient. I can't say enough good about my experience here.

I was called back rather quickly to the intake nurse within 20 mins...that made me happy! Then she takes me back to my ER bed and I'd say by 6:30 they had given me an IV and taken blood samples. Now the wait begins. I was told by 7pm I'd be going for an ultrasound but that didn't happen because apparently they change shifts at 7pm....soooo 9:30pm comes around and I'm being wheeled down for the ultrasound. I will say the ultrasound tech was very kind and by 10pm I was back to the freezing ER room and told I need to wait to see the Dr to tell me my ultrasound results. It's now 11pm and still no Dr. I'll update this post once he comes and I'm released but I just don't think SIX hours in the ER is reasonable, for blood to be drawn and an ultrasound...I could be clueless though. Oh and I guess I'm naive but they don't give patients snacks/food after being in the icebox for SIX hours? This is insanity. UPDATE!! After asking the nurse to see the Dr he finally comes in at 11:30pm and apologizes for the wait and says that's normal for an ER. Waited another 20 mins to get my discharge papers and was free at last! UGH!
