I think he takes too many cases personally. All lawyers aren't great at communicating, except when they are court officers, and that bar is in view. To his credit Matt is fully qualified. He's a decent human being. Having been around numerous lawyers, he might work well for you in a civil matter. All lawyers I've dealt with are space cadets, as they are very bright but not necessarily "all there." Matt is fair, principled, but I've seen better including the two I have on retainer. Do they still drive me batty? Yes. If you're going through the "Big D", I think Matt would be a good choice.
