I came here because my friend said this is the only Coop he's seen them sell the stuff to make matzo balls. It took me a while to find the section, which was right next to the rice and polenta and stuff. I found matzos, matzo meal, and the stuff to make matzo balls... however, they cost a lot of money!! I wasn't ready to pay like 6 or 7 francs for what is essentially just flour and water. So I didn't buy any at the end. I like the taste but wasn't that desperate to buy them for Passover.
They also have a freezer section filled with kosher food, and I like how they were quite explicit on labeling what was Passover kosher or not.
I did see some geraniums on sale out front, which were a really good deal at less than CHF 2 per plant. I held off on buying them though, as I thought perhaps I could find a better deal later on at Lidl... but I didn't see any later. Oh well.
Looks like there is a parking garage nearby here, and according to the website, there are 10 spaces. That's pretty good for a place in the city, as parking is usually quite difficult to come by. read more
