Visiting family in Spreitenbach and stopped in the Shoppi Co op for a few items. The store itself is fine. Same quality as other Co op locations. However, the meanest woman in Spreitenbach is one of the cashiers. Being a visitor, I was unaware of the protocol regarding hand held shopping baskets. I placed mine on the belt and put a separator bar between myself and the next customer, thinking I was being courteous. Upon reaching the cashier I said, "Gruezi" to which there was no response. After receiving several dirty looks and an uncomfortably long scowl from the cashier, she abruptly got up and made a huge display of dumping my items out (from about 1.5 feet above the belt) so that they scattered and made lots of noise. I was stunned, as were the other customers in line. I politely asked (in German) if she spoke English, to which she responded with a dramatic shrug and the hand gesture for "so-so." She then said in a very sarcastic tone, "Thank you bye bye." After visiting here for many years I have never been treated with such contempt by anyone in any store.
