I did not shop the department store areas but I did find plenty of snacks and instant coffee for the hotel room. The fresh food area is spacious and clean with lots of options for "grab and go" and "heat and eat" if you're not looking to cook. The bakery was pretty darned amazing as well. Grocery section is tidy and well laid out with clear prices. Checkout went well. It was helpful to have a self-checkout kiosk (with an "English" button) so that I don't have to deal with language barriers. I also bought a "Migros" shopping bag for my collection. Cheese (Kasse) one is simple but good!! It's very cheap (only 2.60 CHF for 1/4 6 inch). All slices of cakes are very reasonable too (only 2.50-3.50 CHF) and they are quite good. They also sell donut (fluffy donut-hole looking donut). I think this is one exceptionally cheap and good place to eat. PS: Try to avoid 11:30-12:30pm. It gets very crowded.
