I got a referral to use…read moreMatthew Zadroga at Arctic Fox.  Firstly he tried to get me to change the wiring around to fit his desire to put in a heat pump.  After much conversation with others I said no.  Zadroga finally came with the AC unit and a new coil.  The heat did not work from that unit as Zadroga did not hook up the gas.  After a couple of weeks water was dripping from the ceiling.  He came back as was out of town. The person staying in my home stated there was an extreme amount of beating noise coming from upstairs.  I inquired Zadroga about what he did to fix. I never heard from him again after repeated requests.  I called another company to come by and see if this was done correctly.  The coil was bad so the new company ordered another coil. Also hooked up a couple of parts that Zadroga had thrown on the floor in a bag.  I have never gotten a receipt, warranty info nor did Arctic Fox pull a permit and now almost a year later is still refusing to give a receipt with warranty info and are also refusing to pull a permit.  I had no idea that Zadroga is not personally permitted as he is "exam eligible" and I was also not told that the permit holder is a person named Walter whom I have never spoken to or knew existed. This company takes advantage during a crisis situation and attempts to get you to do what they want instead of the proper protocol for a reliable business.  I have also spent almost 2k in repairs and attorney fees attempting to get a receipt/permit etc.  I advise not to do business with this company.

Called a few other companies and was getting told it would be a few days before they could come. And...they had to see the problem before I could get an estimate. Called VIP and Don, the owner, gave me an estimate over the phone. Don was able to come the next day to weld/braze the pipe, evacuate and recharge the system at his estimated price. I now use them for twice a year maintenance and to flush the condensate lines on these new air handlers. (the aluminum coils create a white sludge that plugs up the condensate lines) They also helped add a thermostat and create a new zone downstairs. Save me a bunch of money because I didn't have to upgrade the capacity of the unit. When they make a mistake, if you call them back, they own up to any problems they may have created. I think that's a rarity in this market. Highly recommend, and I've sent a number of neighbors to them.

That is why I have used Vent Doctor a handful of times, usually to clean my dryer vent. This time I remembered they did air duct cleaning as well. I am glad I remembered because they found numerous issues with mold/mildew all related to my AC company not doing their job during annual maintenances - causing mildew in my air handler and some ductwork.
