The welcome variety of homemade pies are very good including the pecan pie I I and my friend had. The attached produce store has expanded to include their homemade bread, pickles and roasted chipotles. The food is good but quite expensive for what you get. In my personal experience, I purchased a wrap and baked goods, the bill was high and I left not feeling quite full, that being said, I do have a substantial appetite. I would like to point out that the Italian soda served there are probably the best feature of this restaurant. There are many many flavors, and they are all very tasty. One can also mix and match to taste. the only complaint there is that i could have easily drank 6 of them. the flavors are out of this world and would make any visit to this location worthwhile, especially on a hot day. The businesses frequently don't promote their features well and the reviews are very limited. Penny Coffee House is ahead of the game on both points. I enjoyed an excellent house made savory chai (they offer multiple alternatives to dairy milk) and picked up a few of the three vegan pastries they had that day for myself and family. I'm sure that the berry turnovers, cinnamon twists, and rosemary pretzels would have been ever better had I warmed them up before serving.
