I called Belanger because it looked like a family owned business and less likely to give me the run - around. The lady that answered was nice and she booked me for just a few days out. She said her son would stop by. One thing I usually hate about service people is they treat you like you are an idiot for breaking the stuff in the first place or they have never seen your particular issues, even though you know it's common or you get mysterious charges for a flux capacitor on your bill. Not the case with Belanger. The service tech was friendly and listen to every issue I had. He had the attitude of "Yeah, I can fix that, no problem. We see this all the time". He didn't replace wheels and hinges that weren't broken, he realigned everything, and got all my issues taken care of in under 40 minutes. I was very pleased with everything. Door works great, the key pad is awesome. The bill was 1/2 of what I expected. For example, one line on the bill was "Fix Track $5" really $5? I would have been glad to pay $50, the track was a hot mess! Bottom line is they didn't rake me over the coals and I will call them if I ever have issues with my garage doors again. We weren't home when the guy came to check it out, but he left us a bill for over $100. This was referred to as a work order, however no work was done, there was a just a paper checklist indicating what work needed to be done, which to me is an estimate. We did not pay, and several months later received another bill with interest (ha!). Later we received phone calls with threats of litigation. At that point I called and spoke to a manager who tried to convince me that the original visit was not an estimate, despite no actual work ever being done. After threats from me to call the Better Business Bureau, they finally relented, however we received another call a week or so later about our pending court date and we had to call again to have this straightened out with the same manager. I think we are done with their BS for now. Stay far away.

Finally someone went to look at the door and told me that really i needed a new garage door and that it didn't make sense to fix the existing door. I said fine, give me a quote on a new door. The same thing happened. For weeks they failed to return my call. Today I was fed up with waiting and I called a competitor who informed me that there was nothing wrong with my door, and that it was the quick fix I had originally thought it was. They got to the house and made the repair that same day! I will not seek to use them again.
