My car was actually finished a few hours earlier than expected, which I appreciated. However, I was told I couldn't pick it up until 5:45 because that's when the owner would be available. That was frustrating, especially given the circumstances. I had to have a starting device installed due to a legal situation that was handled improperly, so I was already stressed about having to spend this money in the first place. David was very understanding about that, and I truly appreciated his professionalism. Unfortunately, my interaction with the owner was not pleasant. When I spoke with him on the phone, he told me I needed to hurry because he had to "go over things" with me and would be leaving for a few hours. I explained that I didn't need assistance using the device -- I simply needed to pay and pick up my vehicle. When I arrived, he was short and unfriendly. He repeatedly asked if I knew how to use the device, even after I assured him multiple times that I was fine. He then said, "Well, I don't think you'll be able to do it," which felt unnecessary and dismissive. He handed me paperwork to sign with little to no explanation, didn't return my key until I asked for it, and overall made the experience uncomfortable. I walked to my car and started it without any issue. It's disappointing because David provided excellent customer service, and good auto service can be hard to find. However, my interaction with the owner would make me hesitant to return, aside from the required monthly appointments for the device. I hope the owner considers improving customer communication and professionalism, as it would make a big difference in the overall customer experience.

He took it for a test drive with me and explained everything on what it was doing and what it could be. He looked at it and found out I needed a starter and carburetor cleaned and some other things had to be done he was very thorough on what it was and what had to be done. There was some things that had to be fixed but I didn't have the time, I had to get on the road back to Pittsburgh PA. But I am thankful he got me back on the road where I can handle the hills better and make it back. If I had more time I would have let him complete everything. He is a very good mechanic. I also said that my steering wasn't affected by the vibrating, but something was off with the riding performance. I was told that most likely my wheels became unbalanced from having ice in the wheels. I was told to park in my garage and use a space heater to try and fix the problem. The advice worked and it was offered free of charge because the employee said, "I'd hate to charge you for inspecting the car since I am confident this will work since I experienced the same thing before". I was told that if my car was still vibrating after trying the method mentioned then I could bring my car back and they would look for other problems. I have been coming to Nelsons for over 30 years and although the shop has changed hands, I still feel confident in trusting my repairs and service to the new owners and if I live another 30 years, then they would be the place I brought my cars to.
