The owner (or the guy running the shop) is very nice and personable and it seems like he aims to…read moreplease, but the last time i went to get my pants hemmed will be the last time i go. not only are they more expensive than local competitors, but when i went to pick up the pants on the agreed-upon date, the other older gentleman also there helping could not find them for anything. finally the guy running the shop came to help and said that they were placed in the wrong spot. so all he'd done thus far was taken out the seams and they were absolutely not ready. i asked for them back and will be taking them to my regular tailor. i'm sure there are more terrible places than this place, but the quality has been pretty hit or miss and i'd rather just not deal with it. if i make time in my schedule to give my business to a place, i want to know that i'm going to get what i'm expecting and paying for.

I have brought numerous items of clothing to Rose Tailor over a number of years. They are very nice…read morethere, and meet most of your tailoring needs well, at super reasonable prices. If you want any garment shortened or hemmed, they're just the ticket. There's only one exception--custom tailoring. Some of my western shirts have fairly contoured seams, especially at the waist. The most experienced tailors always add a short vertical dart below the bust on shirts which don't have that contour, which gives it more shape. Rose did what some of my past tailors did, instead taking it in along the side seams, which is *not* the ticket, because then it will be more fitted at the waist, but a little too tight in the bust, which I did not want. Also, I had a pair of Gloria Vandebilt jeans which I bought for awesome the lavender color, but they were cut poorly --baggy areas throughout the thigh area, and I asked Rose if she could get rid if some of the baggy places. I believe she got rid of some, but they didn't look much better after, and the pinning process was scary, because she did not use safety pins, which a lot of tailors use nowadays because pinning is safer and faster. Straight pins need to be applied more carefully. Taking the pants off after pinning, I got pinpricked enough times, I decided Rose is not the person to fit my custom tailoring needs.

G&H had a good selection. They were very friendly, and helpful. Their prices are competitive with Lowes and Home Depot (actually $2 cheaper, by design). Unfortunately we live pretty far out of their delivery zone, so we weren't able to purchase the KitchenAid we viewed. Still, I wanted to recommend anyone in the market to give G&H a shot.

David at G & H called me everyday to give me an update and delivered us a brand new unit when the "old" one couldn't be repaired in a timely manner.
