We're so happy we found Marco at Schnauserei! Marco was immediately warm and welcoming and had closed down the restaurant for our private class. What a first class experience we had as a result! When we arrived he had a selection of local meats and cheeses he acquired while hiking earlier in the day (so thoughtful) and a great wine selection. Everything was authentic and local to the area which is exactly what we were looking for! We were able to make traditional Swiss food like Chnöpfli - complete with salad and chocolate cake! The meal was incredible but most of all was Marco's hospitality and the setting. There was so much thought and care that went into Marco's restaurant and you feel like you're enjoying an evening of cooking at a dear friend's place. We felt right at home. We will definitely be back when we're in Switzerland to enjoy not only another cooking class, but a meal or two at his restaurant - and are definitely looking forward to the fondue cave he's working on! You will walk away with the confidence to make everything yourself at home and know that it will taste wonderful. Our last classes were Introduction to making dumplings and Korean cooking (those are two separate classes). We cannot wait to get home to surprise our friends with our new culinary expertise.

Sherly was kind and welcoming, incredibly knowledgable, and very skilled at holding the attention of the class. She made learning as much fun as eating! In this class we ate cheese specific to Switzerland paired with wine that you can't get in the US. (In her class you find out why.) This was a true delicious highlight of our trip. I would take another class with Sherly in a heartbeat. Also, her homemade focaccia bread is out of this world.
