Vosburgh and is considered the first known example of landscape architecture in West Virginia. It takes up some 168 acres and is rolling hills overlooking the Kanawha River. And it's more than just a cemetery, as it includes the Mary Price Ratrie Arboretum that is home to more than 1,400 trees representing 109 species and it serves as a Monarch butterfly waystation. I had a very pleasant walk through the cemetery, picking up a brochure and enjoying a self-directed tour to see some of the more famous and noteworthy graves including Anna Johnson Gates (West Virginia's first female state legislator), William A. MacCorkle (West Virginia Governor from 1893 to 1897), George W. Atkinson (Governor from 1897 to 1901) and the memorial for John W. Mr. Mullins' quoted price was fair, he was available within a week, and he had good reviews on Angie's List, so I made an appointment for him to come on a day that my wife would not be working. He was in our home for about 45 minutes from start to finish, and told my wife that the charge was $150. She resisted, but Mr. Mullins was creepy and pushy, and so she wrote him a check for $150, then called me at work. I immediately called Mr. Mullins on his cell phone for an explanation, but he did not take my calls. I left two voicemails, with my cell and work number, and he refuses to take my calls or to call me back. He also ran to the bank and cashed his check immediately. In short, he charged double the quoted price and took advantage of the fact that my wife did not know the details of the quote. Do not trust this electrician.
