would give zero stars if I could! They broke my stand up jewelry armoire and turned it upside down…read morefor all the jewelry to spill out and me clean up. They DID give us credit for the jewelry box, which we appreciated. BUT after we got the television plugged up a day or so later, it was broken also! This is a $1500 75 inch smart tv that we purchased in January and it was moved in June, six months later. My husband took pics and reached out to the company to be told they would give us $175 for the tv....our BRAND NEW $1500 television!!! WHATTTTT?!?! And here comes the fraudulent part....my husband selected to pay the upgraded protection coverage that would cover the depreciated value up to $5000 of anything broken that was less than $1000 per pound. That was done the day we hired them. When they had my husband sign the iPad the day of the move showing that it had been completed, THEY had downgraded the protection plan but did not inform my husband of this. Therefore, they said they'll cover .60 per pound of the tv because we didn't get the upgraded plan! BUT WE DID!!! My husband and I are both livid and disgusted by the situation. What a slap in the face. If you break something while moving it, then you should pay for it...end of story. But $175 for a brand new $1500 television?!?! Moving is expensive enough, but now I've had to buy a new jewelry box and we have to buy a new television. And we have received no compensation for the tv, by the way. DISGUSTING.... I would NOT recommend this company to anyone! They definitely are practicing fraudulent behavior. We have filed a report with the Better Business Bureau. They need to be shut down! I wonder how many other people have been cheated out of what they're owed with this company.

We're a couple months late in leaving this review (been busy with the typical woes of moving) - but…read moretrust me when I say that these guys absolutely hit it out of the park with their help! After a few serious issues with our previous rental (it's a long story, but to summarize: PLUMBING ISSUES FOR TWO MONTHS), we gave our landlord our 30-day notice to vacate and decided to move to the house LITERALLY across the street (the timing of them opening up for rent was impeccable). We seriously couldn't live on that property anymore. However, with this sudden move, our options for movers was severely limited. Most professional/trustworthy movers are hesitant to help anyone that requires help within such a small time frame (we didn't have 30 days to move... due to complications with the property we were going to be moving into, we only had a 10-day time-frame!)... And worst of all: we were moving LITERALLY RIGHT ACROSS THE STREET. A majority of professional/ trustworthy movers have a mileage-minimum to ensure that the job is worthwhile. A lot of independent workers had given us pretty tempting offers for help in this move, but Emilio's Moving set themselves apart from the independents and the larger companies for one thing and one thing alone: Responsiveness. Where most companies took days (in some cases: AN ENTIRE WEEK) to get back to us for a quote: Emilio contacted us WITHIN THE HOUR. They were polite, professional, transparent about their costs and schedule, and let us know ahead of time that their work with us would be a squeeze (they were handling several large moves at the time and we would be crammed between them due to our timeframe). With every response we sent, they responded back within an hour or two. They were even willing to negotiate with us on the pricing: we were planning on moving all of the boxes, and only required help for large furniture. Emilio gave us a generous discount for the lessened difficulty of the move, so long as they could complete it within 1 hr and 40 min... We agreed on it. On the day of the move, one of the workers had arrived 10 minutes early to talk with us and scout out the furniture that needed moving, and the rest of the workers arrived RIGHT ON TIME. They moved all of our furniture across the street quickly, carefully, and methodically. They never dilly-dallied, they never took unnecessary breaks, they never let the furniture touch a ground/wall until they reached their destination, and they would triple/quadruple-team on the more complicated turns/rotations to ensure our furniture never got damaged. There were no scratches, no scuffs, no dents, no bends, and no wasted time. They completed our work perfectly while remaining well below that estimated 1 hr 40 min! I'm sure most people who've worked with movers can say that this sort of care, efficiency, and honoring of agreements is RARE these days. Emilio's Moving did a fantastic and wonderful job for our move! Their excellent communication, transparency, understanding, professionalism, and overall helpfulness cannot be overstated! If we ever need help with any moving in the future - we'll be sure to call them!

My experience was AWFUL. After walking through our home for about 30-45 minutes, David came up with…read morethe estimate of nearly $17k!!! This estimate included 3 trucks, 6 people for 3 days, taking apart and putting back together all furniture and gas for all 3 trucks. We were shocked and he could tell so he said that anything we moved ahead of time would come off the total, including unused moving supplies. He also told us that it was not the boxes but the big furniture that was what the majority of the cost. So, we went like gang busters moving our stuff. In fact, we moved so much that when they came to drop off all the moving supplies, David's associate was angry. He was shouting and yelling on the phone, to whoever he was talking to, about how we have moved nearly everything. He was mad that I was packing the kitchen , to where my sister and my friend were both uncomfortable. We moved, at the very least, 75% of our home, probably closer to 85%. The day they show up, there are 4 workers. The next day, they had 5. They spent too much time, way too much materials (my plastic bottles spices and Ziplock bags with spices, we wrapped in 3-4 sheets of packing paper each. Boxes were insulated with 5-8 pieces of packing paper, to go 2.5 miles. I have pictures and videos to prove this) Anyway, after all we did, all we moved, after we were assured that the cost of the move would be reduced based on what we moved, the new and bargain price was $13,500!!! Also this only included one truck, gas for one truck and 4 people one day, 5 the next. After hours of discussions, and trying to explain basic math, David settled on $9000. Seriously, $9000 to love 25% of $17k. Now, I'm no genius, but that doesn't really "math" out. Richard assured us he ran it through all his matrix and formulas. We made him very aware of the fact that we knew he was screwing us, we knew he knew he was screwing us but because they had already loaded the remainder of our home onto the truck and we're holding it hostage until we paid, we had to pay. As a side note, David also sold us on their services under the guise that all their employees are ex-military. We are extremely patriotic Americans and we knew they were high but bc they were all military and the fact they would reduce the cost based on what we moved, we decided on them. The employees they hire may be the x-military but the sub contractors that do all the moving are not. I feel we were stereotyped as wealthy because of the home we were moving out of. That, along with the fact that David knew we were very patriotic Americans, he took severe advantage of us. I feel he was dishonest, deceitful and manipulative. I'm not as mad about the money as I am about the fraud.

It's revolutionary stuff here. I'm still reeling. Their rates are extremely reasonable, the communication prior to my move was prompt and clear and the crew did everything they could to ensure that my move was seamless and easy. They were totally cool about my moving pod being dropped off about a block away from my apartment due to some issues with the pod truck being too tall for my parking deck's height restrictions. All of my furniture was arranged carefully to ensure it would arrive without being damaged and to maximize the space in the Pod. Since they charge by the hour, they encouraged me to just pack whatever I could (I was, uh, kinda dragging with the stuff clearance) in bags and boxes as they carried it all out. My apartment was cleared faster and my Pod could carry more because of the movers' careful placement and arrangement. Y'all, they even wrapped my TV and put it in my car for me so it could be driven safely to New England. They were that good. Their crew was also super-friendly, polite and had a great sense of humor. They were cracking me up even amidst the stress of moving. You can't do better than VIP Moving. After several moves, I can say that this is the best moving company I've ever worked with. They made the end of my time in Little Rock just a bit more sentimental even, as I had a little extra time to think about what Little Rock meant to me because of their help. If you need a mover, hire them now.
