The man who came to her house advised me that after using sound technology the "leak" was actually coming from my property since part of her line crossed over to my backyard. I gave written permission with the understanding thinking that if her pipe was indeed causing backflow into my yard then it must be addressed. The letter the neighbor wrote also indicated that once the work was done Mister Sewer would arrange sometime in the future to have a landscaper come out and repair damage to my yard. The original agreement was written as basic restoration consisting of "soil and seed." Later on when the owner signed off on it the limitations per her insurance contract limited them to basic restoration which was "seed and straw" as well as leveling. I was not given opportunity to initial this change as acceptable since I received a printed copy with the signature and addendum. On the day they did the work and dug up the area as deep as a grave the water line was tested. There was no leakage at all coming from the pipe that was under my yard but rather was somewhere under the concrete below her deck. They completed the project by forcing out the defective copper using an underground snake technique from her water shut off valve in her home. They replaced the line with what they call a superior plastic by Uponor. My understanding was that this pex product expands and contracts and is more durable than copper and will last longer. I did learn that without this insurance the base cost is at least $2500.00. My neighbor was grateful and pleased with the work they had done. I, on the other hand, have to consult other landscapers in order to get the right information on how to properly restore my lawn as well as allow for eventual settlement where the hole was dug. Hopefully in time I will get the information needed and go accordingly. I'm sure they are a fine company to work with but when you are filing an insurance claim they usually use the least invasive means possible and must limit their work and restorations according to the guidelines set by the insurance company. Please be aware of that fact if you are paying a water/sewer insurance premium on your water bill.

I rely on my fellow Yelpers to give me honest, unbiased reviews of local businesses. Most of my…read morereviews and searches are about food, but occasionally I have a need for another type of business and this is the first place I turn. You all led me to this small, local business and you were spot-on, so I am paying it forward by adding my review! My family had our pipes freeze in the winter storm this Christmas. Friday, it was the cold water pipe, which took seven hours of work to unfreeze. We thought we were in the clear and counted our blessings as we kept the cold water running overnight Friday -- only to discover Saturday around noon that the hot water pipe was now frozen solid. Twelve straight hours of effort with hair dryers, space heaters, boiling water pots, heating pad wraps and everything else we could think of did not work and we went to sleep Christmas Eve defeated, wondering how we were hosting the rest of my family on Christmas with no hot water, dishwasher, etc. (Our efforts did eventually pay off with the hot water coming on at 8 a.m. Christmas morning and no pipes bursting. So grateful.) During this nightmare I called a number of plumbers who list themselves as emergency 24/7 plumbers, but only Gary from Brickhaas called back. He called during the span of time that I thought everything was under control, but I asked if we could be booked for later in the week to unclog a bathroom drain I've had a problem with lately. Glad I booked them as, after the pipes thawed, the under sink drain was leaking slightly so Dominic was able to take a look at both of these things today. He called with a 20-minute heads up on his arrival, efficiently took care of the clogged sink and an aerator that was limiting water flow, installed a new kitchen sink trap assembly (which he said I could honestly take or leave; I appreciated the honesty but opted to replace for my own peace of mind), and offered solid advice about what we might do if plans to better insulate those water pipes in the future didn't work out re: rerouting the pipes from their current, poor location. He was highly knowledgeable, didn't hard sell anything and I absolutely got his card as I'll be calling them for future plumbing needs. Yelp comes through, as usual!

They came out, were quick and efficient and did a great job. Price was fair. Recently, my five year old furnace went out on a Saturday evening on the coldest day of winter so far. :( Called Valley at 7:00pm and got their on call guy. He was awesome and walked through a bunch of things to check. Realized it was probably a bad part and he advised that to save money (and because part suppliers were closed), use the fireplace and wait until Monday morning. We did and they came out first thing and replaced the faulty part quickly and for a fraction of the cost of an emergency visit. My only gripe was the markup on the part was pretty high compared to what I could have bought it for myself. Recommend these guys overall. Honest, easy to deal with, do good work and fair pricing. Not much more that you can ask for.
