From the moment we walked in we were impressed with how clean and organized it was! We were greeted immediately and invited to check out each artist's portfolio (which I had already done on their website) Mike Reed was our artist and he was very easy to work with and took our "concept" and created a design that far surpassed our already high expectation! Through a couple days we texted back and forth and each time we suggested a change or add on he incorporated it beautifully. The day of the appointment I took a few more breaks and he was always super courteous when I needed to stop. He stayed late to finish both our tattoos. All the artists were very friendly and knowledgeable. If your looking for professionals this is THE place. Don't go anywhere else. Steve charges over 110% of what i paid for a tattoo that covers my entire arm. i paid 650 dollars for a one sided forearm tattoo that isn't even a good fucking tat and he charges that much for only a section of your body for something that isn't even worth the price. he doesn't care when you ask him questions and makes you feel like your a shitty person for asking and trying to learn new things for instance what shedding means and if that's a problem. He WILL overcharge. please be careful and don't get colors with him. he is legit shit and doesn't care ab touch ups nor whether or not the tattoo even healed. never again. read more

All about the people at Control Tattoo! I walked in at the end of the night with an impulse piercing idea, Mike and Whitney took excellent care of me. I browsed the portfolios in the lobby while waiting for Miss Whitney to get her station prepped and enjoyed seeing the work of their really good artists :) I hadn't been pierced in a long time and was a bit nervous but told myself I couldn't wuss out... I was getting my nipple re-pierced...going through scar tissue I was expecting the worst... Somehow it was about one of the easier piercings I have ever received! Whit free handed it (awesome cause clamps hurt!) and it was fast and easy. It looks beautiful and straight! Thanks guys! When I decided to get a tattoo I stopped by Control Tattoo. I met Mike & explained what I wanted and he drew it up. It was perfect! I loved my tattoo so much I have gotten 2 more since then.When my daughter was here visiting from Ohio I took her there to get her tattoo. If your looking for a GREAT tattoo , Control tattoo is where to go ! Mike Reed did my tattoo , I could not be happier. I came up with a base idea of what I wanted, Mike being a great artist and very professional drew up a design that I fell in love with on first site. After the outline was done , we spoke about the color's for the piece and knocked it out. Now I have a GREAT tattoo with solid line work and badass Color. Yes I was tattooed by Mike, but I would be comfortable getting work done by any of the artist in the shop. They are all very talented artist. From point of arrival to when I left , I felt very comfortable. The shop was clean , the work they produce is on point and the music was good too lol. I highly recommend Control Tattoo. I know I will be seeing Mike again for tattoos in the future. If I could give this place NO stars, I would. If you're looking for a CHEAP tattoo, that will be rushed through, then this is your shop. But if you want real art on your body, that you can be proud of then do your research and go somewhere else!!! Called ahead to see if they had an artist taking walk-ins, the shop helper told us to come by around 4 and mike would be available. Came in a few minutes before 4 and they told us to come back in an hour. Went for lunch, came back in an hour and he had started working on a different tattoo, they told us to come back in ANOTHER hour. We had no plans, and were trying to give this shop a chance so we agreed. Now it's around 6 and we get set up, my boyfriends tattoo came out NOTHING like what he wanted and took all of 30 mins for mike to "complete". Before he got started on my tattoo Mike's girlfriend came by to see how much longer it would be because they had a movie date. She left, and came back again within 30 mins to sit in the lobby waiting for us to leave so they could make it to a movie at a different time. My tattoo was not personalized to me, he decided to go with a line drawing that had minimal detail even though my reference picture was extremely detailed and delicate. Through out the process I was making request to add more detail, and make adjustments and non of my requests were fulfilled. My tattoo turned out to be a hard lined, stiff, traditional style piece. Now it's a month later, I've had it completely reworked by another AMAZING artist and went full color to try and save this tattoo. read more
