There was a delay in him getting there because another job took longer than he anticipated but they kept me updated and asked if it was still okay for him to come at the next two hour service window. I appreciated that because it was respectful of my time. Of course it was fine. Darren arrived, assessed the situation, and gave me three options. I opted to replace the tank and bring it up to code but held off on the tankless option. He came prepared with a high quality heater in the truck with everything he needed so he did the work right then and about two hours later he was done and we had hot water again. The billed amount was the same as the quote he gave me earlier. Not cheap but on par with expected costs and they use high quality components. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Payless Water Heaters.

So I turned to Yelp to look up 'Plumbers' and started reading reviews and I noticed that Rapid Action Rooter had sooooo many positive comments. I sent a message through Yelp describing the problem and a few minutes later I received a reply from the owner. I called Mandel, the owner, and he said he could come out that afternoon. That was yesterday. Mandel and his assistant were waiting for me when I arrived, both dressed in uniform with company info on the shirt. After I showed him the problem areas he and partner got to work. Mandel discovered there was a hole--more of a slit, in the middle of this piece of copper pipe (buried about 3 feet underground )--so weird. Have NO idea how could've happened...or WHEN! Mandel explained the damaged portion of the pipe needed to be removed and replaced, welded back together. He was transparent about the price and method of payment--uses Zelle, which is super convenient! During our conversation, though, I mentioned some other jobs that needed to be completed in the home. Well, before I could say, "do you know anyone who does...?", Mandel was telling me about his drywall & paint guy, his flooring guy, his electrical guy. But more than merely tell me about the tradesmen, he actually called them before he left so that I could coordinate a day/time to meet with them AND Mandel told them that HE would text them my contact information.
