Jeanette arrived on time, was very professional, and I felt safe at all times with her as the driver. She was open to any stops that we wanted to go to, was helpful with taking photos for us, and was very flexible with the time. (We went a couple of hours overtime and she was gracious about it.) Fast forward to a year later, my husband booked them again for our one year anniversary. Again, it was a surprise for me. He essentially recreated our first date, and ended up proposing to me at Christmas in the Park. Our pedicab driver was great and took video footage and photos of the proposal for us. Priceless memories that I'll always cherish! When it was time to plan our wedding, we wanted to incorporate the pedicab somehow. We reached out to Jeanette, and ended up renting one of their pedicabs and had a friend drive us into the wedding reception as part of our grand entrance. We surprised our guests and they all loved it! We used the pedicab afterwards as a prop for photos for all our guests and it was a huge hit! When I called them, a young guy just answered, "Hello?" How unprofessional! First red flag. I told him I was impressed by their website, but the way he answered the phone was really unprofessional and sends up a red flag; but I'm willing to move past that and inquire about their services. That was his cue to express a modicum of humility and apologize, but no -he just asked how they could help, with a tone that clearly indicated he really didn't care. There was no life in his voice. When I began telling him what I'm interested in, he cut me off and said he's busy with a client. Wow! Obviously all that glitters isn't gold, as this is clearly NOT a professional business -one that would have someone answer calls when they're with a client, or simply not answer the phone, so they can stay focused on their client. Taking away from a client's time (and money) to answer calls is disrespectful and unprofessional. Seeing any further conversation would be wasted on him, I hung up.

I originally found these folks when searching for portrait photography and real estate photography in the Monterey area... and just really appreciated their friendly and approachable style. The longer story is that I am from the East Coast, and I just simply didn't know Monterey, Carmel-by-the-sea, San Jose, and Big Sur as detailed as I could have. I knew the general area I wanted to propose to my girlfriend, but Fernando and Xavier generously stepped up and offered all sorts of suggestions. They were patient with me, and quickly bought-in on my vision. I'm not sure who was more excited for the pictures... me or them! I later looked into more of their portfolio, realizing that they had also been doing a bunch of family photography & real estate videography around San Jose CA. This was helpful, as I was able to see a good spectrum of the post-production work that they do, which is a whole additional design skillset beyond skilled photography & videography. This helped seal my decision. (I think they also do web/graphic design?) The team is super supportive, creative, smart, and very talented. Beyond that, they enthusiastically go the extra mile for their clients. Figuratively and literally... They hiked over a mile and had to ford a river to get to the spot where I decided to pop the question. They were incredibly thoughtful and cognizant of staying in communication with me, but not over-communicating so they wouldn't arouse suspicion with my future fiancé. They also hid in the sand dunes, near piles of driftwood - to help keep the whole event a surprise! If you're familiar with Andrew Molera State Park, then you know what I'm talking about. Lastly, the pictures came out great. We've got the Big Sur River in the background on one side, a beach in the foreground, and the Pacific Ocean on the other side. Beautifully done, much appreciated, and I would absolutely return to book them again in the future.
