I need a professional Design & Marketing provider to help me with my business. Based on the great review score, and their website, I thought Brick House Media was promising. When I called them, a young guy just answered, "Hello?" How unprofessional! First red flag. I told him I was impressed by their website, but the way he answered the phone was really unprofessional and sends up a red flag; but I'm willing to move past that and inquire about their services. That was his cue to express a modicum of humility and apologize, but no -he just asked how they could help, with a tone that clearly indicated he really didn't care. There was no life in his voice. When I began telling him what I'm interested in, he cut me off and said he's busy with a client. Wow! Obviously all that glitters isn't gold, as this is clearly NOT a professional business -one that would have someone answer calls when they're with a client, or simply not answer the phone, so they can stay focused on their client. Taking away from a client's time (and money) to answer calls is disrespectful and unprofessional. Seeing any further conversation would be wasted on him, I hung up. read more

DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY LESSONS THAT WON'T BREAK YOUR SPIRIT "Motherfucker! I bought this expensive camera and I can't make it work worth shit. Sure it is OK in Monkey Mode--auto--but is this all there is?" That was me. Now my buyers remorse is gone thanks to Jared Brick. I bought a NIKON SLR he showed me how to use it. Let's face it, cameras are easy to use now but what you need to know to get good shots in various conditions have not changed. Jared will meet you anywhere and with the patience of a saint tell you how to use your toy. His ability to communicate concepts, and you need to know them, is very good. Does ISO, f stop, and aperture totally confuse you. It should. But Jared makes it simple... We gave my husband some private photography lessons from Jared as a Christmas gift, and he was a truly fantastic teacher. He met my husband at various locations, taught him about his SLR Digital camera, and taking quality pictures in general, helped him practice taking photos indoors and outdoors, and even let our daughter and I meet them in the park to get some nice pictures of us as part of his final lesson. Prior to these lessons, my husband wasn't able to take advantage of many of the features of his camera and was was pretty unsure about what he was doing. Armed with a new Nikon SLR and being a complete beginner to the world of photography, I was interested in taking Jared's photo tutoring class. It was a wonderful and informative two hour, one-on-one, hands-on lesson. Jared's teaching style was to concisely and systematically take you through your device of choice. Further, Jared took into consideration my experience level (none) and goals (landscape photography) to tailor the session to learning how to shoot and setting up the more sophisicated setting to maximize my photography. I look forward to using my camera and a great amount of thanks has to be given to Jared. Side note: if attending the two-hour introduction class, bring a small notepad to the session to take notes since alot of information is covered and it helps as a reference to use later when you are actually taking the photographs. read more

I have never used a DSLR camera and recently purchased one over the holidays. I knew I wanted to take an intro class of some sort and found Jared's company through a Zozi deal. I just met Jared today and after sitting down with him for 2 hours can happily say it was awesome. He is patient, easy to talk to and a book of knowledge. My wife and I bought our first DSLR and quickly felt overwhelmed. Determined to get out of "auto" mode, we scheduled a 2 hour crash course lesson from Jared. We were both blown away by the quality of instruction and the confidence we now have to experiment and play with all the tools at our disposal. My girlfriend bought me a 2hr lesson with Jared so that I could get more out of my SLR than I was just by reading the manual and trying to recall my high school photography class. I had the aperture side of things down more or less, but Jared really taught me useful things with regard to motion and light.
