The one I went to is immediately to the right of the immigration booths after you cross the border into Canada. The current exchange rate is 1 US dollar to 1.3 CA. The fee is 2% which is a lot more reasonable than some other places who may charge you for higher fees or commission as well. It was extremely easy and straightforward to conduct. I brought my bf with me since my math skills aren't great. One thing that I did not like was that rates were NOT posted. Not even for CAD-US, CAD-EURO, the standard stuff. As a customer, I would prefer that this was done as opposed to taking someone's word for it. Also no receipt was provided, but I don't know if this is standard procedure. I did get what I came for, however, there were no larger bills. So perhaps you may want to call ahead of time to make sure they carry the currency that you are looking for! The government regulations require that on transactions of $2000 or more. The only explanation I got was that the manager marked an X on the 500 Krones note on their book.

I don't know what time of the day is less busy, but I usually go during the weekday. The afternoon and "after work" hours I found have been a little busy. You have an option to order on their website and pick up when they call you that it's ready. This usually take 3 business days. You can call them ahead of time to check if they have the currency available so you can buy it the same day. You can also order currency in person which takes 2 business days. I had ordered czech koruna and it was ready to pick up the next day! Note there are two tellers. They accept debit and cash to complete transactions.
