It's shameful for someone with such a background to use his voice to curse a small business owner who is simply trying to earn a living. Is it really appropriate to make such hurtful statements? From my understanding of the jewelry market, buyback prices are typically lower than the market rate due to various costs. I simply asked about the buyback price for a ring and was offered around 20% of the original price, which is completely normal in the industry. Carol runs this shop by herself, and she deserves support, not disparagement. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and there's even an adorable, chubby dog that made my visit even more pleasant. I told her what I paid for each piece which was at least 40% less than what she wanted to charge! She told me I should go back to NJ and have them made there. THEN she had the nerve to complain to another clerk behind the counter that she "practiced restrained patience" with me. WOW! Great customer service! She should have waited until I was out of earshot or left the store before she complained. She should consider retiring or not be front facing with customers, she is not good for business.
