When you go in for the first time just ask to sign up for the loyalty program, they'll need your ID and every time after just make sure you provide your last name for them to look up your account. There is parking lot for this plaza, but it's a poor one at best; not a lot of parking and there's a lot of traffic coming in from Transit. Lots of working warriors coming in and out of Village Liquors looking to score some booze. This is not a knock on the business, and I only bring this up because it's a little easy to get freaked out a bit when a weirdo covered in paint splatter (or is it "spatter"?) is frantically scratching out his scratch-off tickets in the corner in order to decide if he will take home bottles of Woodford Reserve and Grey Goose tonight or resort to huffing glue in his window-less work van like most nights. I want to come back and support this business when I'm in town. Maybe you should too, because these people are nice folks and the prices are modest.

The cashier insisted it was "New York State law" that they couldn't accept a vertical ID, which is completely false. NY State law does not require an ID to be horizontal as long as it proves you're 21. When I politely inquired another worker about it, and he was nasty and rude, offering no real explanation and acting like I was causing a problem just for asking a valid question. If this store wants to make up their own rules, at least train your employees to be polite about it. I ended up going to Caputi Liquors, where they properly followed the law and accepted my ID because vertical IDs are valid in New York State. I won't be coming back to Global Wine & Spirits.
