My wife had a root canal performed by the junior dentist. Despite the lofty credentials, he seemed to neglect that a tooth has 4 canals that need to be cleaned as part of a root canal. This "dentist" neglected more than one canal which led to years of unexplained discomfort. Once we realized the issue, we brought it up to Dr Landry and he has chosen to do NOTHING to remedy the egregious mistake. Being transparent and forthright is extremely important to me. When one owns a business they do their best to hire competent people. I don't blame Dentist for missteps, however the experience leaves one to not have confidence in going forward with further treatment. I love CDA!! Jasmine always greets me at the front door to check me in and escort me to the waiting area. The office has a spa like feel and includes a bar and several relaxation rooms. Don't let the glitz and glam fool you. This place looks amazing, but the level of care I received at the time, and the way billing plays a shell game afterwards proves it is all a façade. I went in for a crown and an extraction. I was told at the time what insurance would cover, and what my out of pocket expenses would be. I willingly paid nearly $1,000 for the visit and the procedure began. The crown went off relatively smoothly, but when it came to the extraction, all hell was let loose. The dentist seemingly ignored my warnings that Novocain has very little affect on me and went ahead with removing a tooth that was still anchored in to my jaw. 5 shots later, I was finally offered nitrous oxide after I nearly stood up in the chair. By the time it was done, I had been there for nearly 4 hours with most of it being excruciatingly painful. After the extraction, which happened on a Thursday afternoon, I was given no pain reliever, and was told to just take Advil/Tylenol and the pain would subside. I followed the post care instructions to the letter, yet still ended up getting dry socket. I went back in to the office the following Monday and was told there is basically nothing that can be done about it and to just keep it clean and take more Advil/Tylenol. Fast forward 4 weeks, and I notice the extraction site is not healing properly, and I now have a bone starting to come through my gums. During the extraction, the bone that held the tooth in place was chipped and I had a bone spur working its way through my gums. The team was able to pull the bone fragment out and seemed to hope that would be the last I would have to come in. Then, over two months after my first visit, I receive an invoice for another $671. I called to discuss and was told the "estimate" I was given at the time of the initial visit was just an estimate as to what insurance would cover, and that sometimes percentages are off. There is a difference between percentages being off, and needing to pay nearly double out of pocket. DO NOT GO HERE! All that glitters is NOT gold. read more

The dentists are great and the office is very nice. Unfortunately their billing practices are horrible. From the first time I went my insurance was never billed correctly. I paid tens of thousands of dollars for work that I could not be reimbursed for because my insurance company said they never coded it correctly. After I finished the work I needed I received a text from them saying it was time to schedule my 6-month cleaning. I called and told them I would not be coming back because it was too far and too expensive. I spoke to the person for about 20 minutes. Three months later I received a bill for $60 for being a "No Show" for an appointment. I have been calling, texting and emailing them and still no one has responded. I am sure I could have received the same care elsewhere for a lot less headaches. read more

I love this place! They have a brand new swanky building. The staff is friendly and helpful. The owner dentist reminds me of my dentist growing up, caring, fatherly and traditional. The young Asian dentist is compassionate and skilled, not to mention easy on the eyes. Haha My problem is the new "old guy", Dr. Wes Ulrich. I've gotten several crowns done at the office over the years but oh man... it took 4 hours with Dr. Wes. He had to ask the other dentists for help with designing my most recent crown. I felt scared that he didn't know what he was doing. Further, he doesn't listen. He repeatedly asked me about Invisalign even though I've gone through braces and Invisalign in the past and told him several times. He drones on and on. He kept asking me during the course of my crown appointment to take an invisalign demo, I told him each time that I've already done a scan. I worry that age might be catching up to him or something and I don't trust the quality of his work on my crown. When it comes down to coming in for my next cleaning, hopefully I can request the other dentists, NOT Dr. Wes Urich. I would strongly advise you to do the same. read more

My star rating is not really accurate. It's more like 3 1/2 stars. Anything I have negative to say about Dr. Landry's office is obviously personal, so take it lightly. Dr. Landry and his staff have always done a superb job on my teeth and making sure I'm comfortable, as well as the other patients. And even with my last visit (last week), they still followed these set standards. My only slightly negative OPINIONS I have to say about what I experienced recently is that I have been noticing (especially with my last visit) that the staff and Dr. Landry are pretty judgmental if you don't take care of your teeth as perfect as they say you should or as well as they do. I always feel like I'm being grilled by a professor, my boss or a parent when I go into their office. It's very uncomfortable, nerve-racking and you can't really argue back because they have all of the evidence that they are right and you are wrong! I'm just saying, this is not the best way to treat and talk to patients about their oral health. I have one slip up where I don't come immediately at my 6 month check up...and I get grilled. I don't floss all day, every day...and I get grilled. Come on people! Let's be realistic! Trying to START flossing is like trying to get a smoker to STOP smoking! It's freakin' hard! When I first started going there they were Definitely five star. My experience with Dr. Landry and his staff had been outstanding. They always made me feel a welcomed guest an appreciated customer. My Dental Hygienist, Cheryl is the best. She does an excellent job. I feel that my dental health is being well taken care of and I'm never pressured into something I don't want. However, something changed when they started to add Drs to the staff and had some change over in office staff. The service from the billing staff went down hill. Started making a lot of errors. I still really like Dr Landry. He is an excellent dentist. I was referred to this practice by a co worker and since then I have referred several others that have become patients. Unfortunately many of us have now left because of there issues with the staff. Unfortunately those where brought to his attention (at least they said they were) but no action was taken and an attitude that was never shown before was revealed. Worst billing experience ever! I asked them to verify my insurance the day I went in so I knew if I had to pay anything ahead of time they told me no it was covered months and months later I get a $403.00 bill for a simple CLEANING! Tell me where and who charges $403?? Not only are they charging me this they refuse to discount it or charge a self pay charge they also did the same thing to my husband gave him 2 quotes for a pulled tooth they charged him the higher rate given by our insurance we get another bill months and months later for an additional $70! I love how they make their fancy office other people's bill to cover I will never return or ever recommend this place again! Yep, you should stay away from this dental office. I had a worst cleaning ever, after the procedure I can feel it's still dirty. Even though they tried to be very nice and gave me a tour of their office BEFORE THE VISIT just because I was looking for an Orthodontic as well. After the service of cleaning. Then once when it comes to billing, I had my insurance give it to them before the service. They didn't bill out on time and they blamed that my insurance paid them less then the amount they claimed for. Full disclosure: Dr. Singh is my sister so I always want her to do well...but I'm also her harshest critic. That being said, theres nothing about this clinic that's not perfection. Whether it's from the front desk people to the hygienists to the dentist everyone has a smile on their face and everyone is excellent at their job. Stay away. They're constantly peddling products and services. People seem smiley and friendly but are pretty much not helpful and really only want to sell you prospects or unnecessary services. I received three invoices from them and balance forwards on things I have already paid for. I've complained to them several times as I never leave without paying a balance and I have great insurance-- they blamed it on ex-employees who they say are no longer work there however the same problems keep happening. I have been going to Dr. Landry for years now. They are always so hospitable and kind at each visit. I am always welcomed by the friendly staff and taken well care of. All of the dental assistants I have had have all been very gentle when I have my cleanings. I feel like they are friends of mine after I leave. I have referred so many friends and colleagues to Dr. Landry due to the service they provide and how they treat me. I think I am up to around 9 referrals. Not to mention anytime you refer someone you get a $25 gift card to a restauarnt in the area. I have been made to feel like a part of the Landry family with their care and concern. I have had a night guard made, crowns made and each time they are very careful and gentle which is great. I have had prior dentists who are trying to rush and end up leaving sore from them not being gentle. If you want to be treated like family, then you should go to Dr. Landry. read more

I scheduled appointments for me and my husband at the same time. I was pleasantly surprised that the first available appointment for us both was just a few days away. New patient documents were emailed so we could fill them out ahead of time. The waiting room was very nice, and I especially appreciated the device charging station -- why doesn't every business have one of those? We were greeted warmly by every member of the staff, given a mimosa (we were both nervous, so that was a nice touch we really appreciated), and after a brief wait, had a quick tour of the facility. Our checkups and cleanings were done very gently. We were given paraffin hand treatments during our cleanings, which was very relaxing. The whole experience was very spa-like. I can honestly say that this is the first dental appointment in my life that was not only painless, but actually relaxing. They gave us a nice "welcome" gift bag on the way out, and were proactive about scheduling next appointments and following up with an email thank you. I would give this dental office a 10 out of 10 rating. So glad we found them. They make what is usually a dreaded experience into one I will look forward to! read more

My entire family (myself, husband, two children, my mother in law) all started using Dr. Landry when he had his offices on HWY 249. We all saw him every 6 months over a period of 4 years or so. During that time period none of us had cavities. I had some prior fillings that were redone and a couple of root canals done when I first started seeing him, but after that initial work I never had any cavities. On each of our first visits to his new office (which was our scheduled, 6 month visit, no gap in time for any of us), the oddest thing happened. Every single one of us was told that we suddenly had 3 cavities that needed to be filled! These visits were not all at the same time, but were scattered out over a few months. I was amazed the after years of clean check ups we all suddenly needed a significant amount of dental work... It was obvious to me that the new office, with all the latest state of the art equipment and luxuries needed to be paid for, so to increase revenue, patients suddenly started needing more dental work. This happened quite a few years ago and we've since moved on to new dentists, and no cavities were ever found again... Beware! read more

I presented my insurance credentials before appointment and before any treatment, they took copies of my insurance card (back and front), I asked them if I was covered, they said yes, and they performed oral/dental exam. Back in Nov 2015. Now in 03/2016 I get Bill to pay $170.00, because my insurance declined their claim. Because they are not in my insurance network at all! Of course. I chose Dr. Landry after researching dentists in the Houston area. When I went in for my appointment, I was seen and treated by Dr. Singh instead. I was very pleased with her. I should probably preface this review by saying there is no one who is more afraid of going to the dentist than I. Throughout the years, I have had some great and some horrible experiences in dental offices. Consequently, I am dangerously close to phobic about going to the dentist. Dr. Singh very kindly put up with my extreme nervousness and was very gentle and understanding. Moreover, and perhaps the most important of all, Dr. Singh was very knowledgeable and competent. I like to know everything that is happening during the procedures. She was really great about explaining everything to me. I had a periodontal cleaning, some filling and bonding work, and replacement partials. I am still waiting on the partials, but it they are as good as everything else is, I won't be disappointed in them either. My husband also had a root canal and crown done in one appointment. They have the equipment to make the permanent crowns on site. I could not tell the crown from his other teeth. They matched them that well. And, he had no pain. Additionally, they offer a no interest finance option, which we decided to take advantage of rather than plunking down a pile of cash at one time. Erika handled it all for us, and, in a matter of minutes, it was done. She also said she would apply the insurance to the balance when it came in. That said, I have to comment on the entire experience. From the start, I was impressed by the way the office is run when I discovered that your entire registration process is online - no filling out forms in the office. The ladies in the front office are charming. When I came in, they offered me a beverage and gave me a tour of the office, which is immaculate and extremely well organized, something that impressed me a great deal. They seem to have their equipment well sanitized and organized for easy access. I was very impressed with their digital imaging machine and the equipment that allows them to make a permanent crowns onsite, thus avoiding temporary crowns all together. When I left, I was given a nice welcome gift. For all you who are terrified of the dentist and avoid necessary care as a result, I would highly recommend using this office. I am partial to Dr. Singh, but my husband and daughter liked Dr. de la Cruz just as well. I am so impressed with the caliber of their professionalism and competency, which is what is really important in a dentist. But I have to admit, I really enjoyed all the pampering as well. Edit 11/19/15 I decided to change my review due to the fact that today is two months since I first began with Consultants in Dental Aesthetics, and I still do not have my partials. While I understand the responsibility lies with the lab, I think that I have been more than patient and heard excuse after excuse. The people in the office are pleasant and accommodating and continue to tell me they will make it right. I am at a point, though where I feel it is past time to tell me they will make it right and actually do it. Now I will not be getting my partials until almost December, and I don't have much faith that they will be right this time either. I left three stars because they did a great job with my periodontal work and my husband's crown. I am of the opinion, however, that if the lab they use does substandard work, they should find another lab. Additionally, I paid for the work two months ago. OMG OMG OMG, This place is amazing! I wish I could give it a ten star because its worth it. I had a crown break on Sunday, bummer! I am new to the area and had gotten one of those envelopes full of coupons and such that new residents always get tons of when they move. There was one from Consultants... so I figured I would give them a try since it was kinda an emergency. Their website guaranteed same day service for issues such as mine so I emailed them Sunday and then called them bright and early Monday morning. Paul answered the phone and was soooo friendly, professional and helpful...points scoring already. He got me an appointment for that afternoon for a time that suited me (since I hated to have to take off too much time from my new job). I arrived and was greeted by Paul again, he and Kelly who was sitting next to him were dressed so nice and greeted me so kindly! Then, he checks me in and offers me the traditional coffee, tea, water but continued with fancy coffees and on to red wine, white wine, beer, mimosa!!!!! UMMM WHAT!!! Yes please!!! But, no, I need to be good and will pass this time. After only maybe ten minutes waiting, Raela comes to get me, and her greeting was so wonderful and respectful. She then proceeds to take me on this unexpected phenomenal "tour" of the office suites and a brief photo intro to each Dr. I am introduced to each person along the tourr and again, each one greets me with eye contact, a handshake, a personal greeting and a welcome. I'm thinking Chic fil a on steroids now. So we arrive in my "suite" and there on the chair is a silver platter with a gift bag and a card addressed to me! WHAT? She hands me the bag and tells me to go ahead and open the card and the gift! A personally autographed greeting from each Dr is on the card (not a computer generated printed signature, an actual signature). The gift was a very nice double insulated glass water (or any other beverage) bottle and, wait for it,... a personal sized bottle of champagne!!! Dang! She goes over all my needs and concerns that I had previously filled out and addressed each one in a personal and caring manner. She then took a few photos and an xray of my broken crown. She soon introduced me to Dr. Singh who was so nice. Dr. Singh spoke to me and listened to me and then took a look at my issue. She showed me the issue and went over options. I was told that they have a new type of equipment that can make me a new crown right then and there. I said lets do it! I watched her set the machine up to do its magic and away it went. Just over 15 minutes later---yes 15 minutes not two weeks---she was fitting the crown into my mouth. It fit perfectly and she smoothed off the rough edges. DONE! DONE! No need to take more time off from work, just done, in and out, one day, superb, excellent above and beyond all expectations service. But wait, there's more, but you will have to go to find out. Just go, this office is amazing. I can't wait til my cleaning!! read more
