Nathan not only was timely and efficient but he talked me through the entire process of what needed to be addressed in order to mitigate my situation. He spoke to me as if he were my big brother giving advice to his little sister so that I wouldn't be intimidated by the logistics of treating my basement and getting back to tiptop condition. I was given a rate from a previous water mitigation company and Nathan was happy to give a competitive assessment/estimate for what my home needs. I appreciated the patience I was shown and how transparent my consultation process went with Nathan. He made me feel secure with the decision I was making moving forward. I truly recommend the Schultz Restoration company because they treat you like family.

I cannot recommend them enough! It is refreshing to find a company in this town that responds, responds quickly, and seems to actually care. We've been calling around other companies struggling to get responses with week plus long wait times just to get someone out. We just couldn't wait that long with our water damage and a big winter storm on its way, so we took a chance and called RestoPros, not even sure our project really fell under restoration and we are SO happy we did! The guy who showed up was Doug, I cannot recommend him enough. He was informative and patient- took the time to talk through everything and answer our questions, which were plentiful bc we are pretty clueless about this stuff. I also cannot state enough- they responded so quickly!! I cannot thank Doug and the RestoPros team enough for bringing us peace of mind by addressing our issues faster than I thought possible and making our home secure ahead of a huge storm. My only regret is not calling these guys first. Hours wasted calling others who couldn't help us meanwhile I heard back from these guys immediately and Doug was out right away- I almost didn't believe it until my doorbell rang. If you have any damage this is who you want to call for sure!

This is the same review posted on Google reviews…read more This will be the first of many reviews I submit for Pride Restoration/Jim Seubert/Armored Public Adjusters. One of the WORST decisions I've ever made was trusting this company, it's owners and subcontractors. When I say this was a nightmare, I'm not exaggerating. After a house fire, this project was riddled with absolute ineptitude on the part of management and the workers, shifting the blame constantly, delays that resulted in me being displaced from my home for over a year and a half. I'm still displaced and the stress and strain it's put on me and my family has been profound and unrelenting. Jim Seubert stayed on the job until the insurance money was in his hands and then left me high and dry. Delay after delay, not taking responsibility, blaming everyone including the City of Edwardsville for his ineptitude. It became necessary to involve counsel to even begin to straighten this mess out. The legal termination of Pride Restoration came to a head when one of their subcontractors became so aggressive with me, shouting and coming at me in my front yard, that a neighbor felt it necessary to call for police intervention. Thank God for the new contractors (who will receive glowing reviews soon) who had to go in, assess and repair almost everything that Pride Restoration touched, incur expenses of professional engineers simply to remedy the damages done by Pride Restoration. This ALL came at my cost, draining all savings/retirement money, since Pride Restoration received the insurance payout. Per their contract, subcontractors were to be paid by them for their work, which he hasn't done and subsequently, I'm now being sued. This nightmare hasn't ended yet as we continue to find out more each day. Please....if you have a fire or water damage, do not use this company. Do your homework. Especially if you are a single woman, it seems that we are the targeted prey for companies like this. Interestingly enough, because I've been vocal about my experience, multiple people have contacted me stating almost the exact thing happened to them. As this pattern emerges, I will continue to share these experiences so that the marginalized and vulnerable have all the information. After a horrendous event such as a fire/house explosion, where we lost everything, it is a vulnerable time where one doesn't make decisions well due to the trauma and shock. Jim Seubert presented himself as a public adjuster and the company as someone who would advocate on my behalf. Not only did that not happen but quite the opposite. This is exactly the time when a reputable and honorable company would walk you through this event with compassion instead of taking advantage of vulnerable people in vulnerable moments. I've lived here 30+ years. Many friends/acquaintances continue to ask why I'm not back in my house yet. When I share the story, they are horrified and incensed that this type of greedy behavior still goes on in our town. Many want the name of the company who treats people so poorly. I'm happy to provide them with that information.

My bad, I should have first read the very unfavorable reviews by Godfrey J, Megan J and Adam of…read morethis business on the corner of Kingshighway and Shaw on the Hill before entrusting them to refinishing 4 doors. What should have taken one month at best ended up taking six months was an extremely difficult and unpleasant experience costing 30% more than quoted. After two months contacted them and was told the weather had delayed the project which I didn't understand since the facility is indoors. Followed up one month later and got a lot of complaining about the job, very unprofessional considering this is their business. Contacted again two weeks later and received more complaining about the job. Finally I made an appointment to see the doors, and found that after almost 5 months, the doors were hardly touched. More promises about getting it done in one week, but again another month passed. Also, big complaining about one of the doors and next thing I found out he went out and purchased a new door. I can only assume that more $$ involved ending costing me even more money. Looks like a bait and switch approach to business, lacking in customer service, at one point threatening me with giving me the doors back to me unfinished. Beware and be forewarned.

Gorgeous fix to my mid-century modern chair! Some rough and tumble kids play had accidentally but…read morecompletely separated the arm and part of the chair from the main frame, splintered wood and all. This is an original, not a copy and so I knew it had to be restored by someone who knew what they were doing and wouldn't try to nail or screw it together. St. Louis Restoration was the third of three places I looked into and was the one I entrusted with the job. The owner, Brett, spoke with me about the provenance of the chair, listened to my story about how and where I had found it and it's mate, and about my choices for restoring it to its former glory. It was clear that I loved the piece and he truly appreciated that. I could have chosen to have them place some discreet screws to make the chair stronger but I wanted it to be kept to its original design and free of any alterations, no matter how slight. The chair turned out beautifully and looks as though it had never been broken at all. They took the time and care to do it right and the resulting effect was truly a restoration. While the price was not "cheap" it was certainly fair and I am thrilled with the result. I recently sent another mid-century modern foot bench there to have the top panels re-caned and they quickly accomplished a beautiful replacement of the torn caning and added a gorgeous coat of new varnish to it, all at a very reasonable price. Now I've sent them their toughest task yet, a Wegner coffee table I found at a thrift shop with its poor, broken wings taped to it. I've no doubt I will again be amazed at what they return to me. My next project for them will be my kitchen cabinets! I strongly recommend this business for any restoration needs, they are meticulous in their work and take great pride in what they produce and it shows.
