In the outside area, the "exhibits"(?) to the left were all closed off - the woodcutting house, and the wheelhouse. They all look like an accident waiting to happen if an unsupervised kid were to go wandering around there. The inside is a little more put together in terms of hands-on things for little ones to interact with. And I'll admit, our 3 year old did enjoy himself. I've just been to similar places like this one around the state, and they have been much more polished and far better maintained than this is. No staff walk around to pick up after kids, for example in the pretend shopping / grocery store area. One in St. Pete is well "policed" with workers picking up after kids, so each one gets to experience it fully, and not a ram-shackled mess. That seems like a minor issue, since we picked up for our child, and he enjoyed it still - but a simple thing like creating a job for somebody improves the experience for visitors. Overall, I wouldn't be in any great hurry to return. I'm not sure how much replay value there is for an infant - probably more than a single trip to be fair, but the neglected feel of the place puts me off. It just seems lazy and half-hearted. Which is a real shame, because there's no equivalent in the area, and it's a fantastic idea to stimulate little minds, and get hands-on experiences and exposure to science and math in a playful and fun way. Hopefully they will step up their game and live up to the potential the place really has, instead of just skating by on the bare minimum of effort.

Cape St. George Light is well worth visiting while exploring St. George Island. The island sits a…read moregood distance from the mainland, and crossing the long bridge makes the trip feel like a destination before you even reach the lighthouse. The brilliant white tower looked beautiful against the deep-blue Florida sky, and the surrounding grounds provided several excellent angles for photographs. Inside the museum, the displays explained the lighthouse's history and included a particularly interesting exhibit about the Fresnel lens and how its system of prisms concentrated and projected the light far out to sea. The lighthouse, museum and island setting combine to make this a fascinating stop along Florida's Forgotten Coast. Cape St. George Light 2B East Gulf Beach Drive St. George Island, FL 32328

I do appreciate it after driving hrs. We paid $7 per person to clime it. One thing I recommend do legging exercise at home and people overweight wont feet the square space to reach to the top part on the wall metal stairs you need to hold on to it to clime up very narrow whom ever has long legs will be difficult too since the steps and space don't give you room to fold them. We headed to the beach afterwords to my surprise being in the Golf coast the water was clean and warm. Not shells almost very disappointing. A few people some music playing in the background nothing disturbing. One thing I did liked was the kids box beach toy available by the sand I guess you bring it back to it. Very relaxing place I amused till next time!
