Fantastic Selection and Outstanding Customer Service Constellation Musical Instruments is the only store I could find in Orange County that sells accordions, and it came highly recommended by another music store. I was impressed by how spacious, clean, and well-organized the store is, with a great variety and selection of instruments. The sales associate was incredibly friendly, patient, and helpful. He even took a brand-new accordion out of a sealed carton, put on the straps, and let us try it. Although we didn't find the right match and didn't make a purchase, he remained kind and patient, answering all our questions thoroughly. Took in a Bajoquinto to adjust the nut (hueso). They did that, but it fell off a month and a half after the service was done. They glued it again free of charge, however, the nut no longer made full contact. On one end there's no contact on two sides (left/bottom) due to them sanding down the wood way too much. They also chipped my Bajoquinto which adds to no contact issue. He then proceeded to suggest paying for a new nut and service. The worker guaranteed his work was good but he would not give me assurance the store guaranteed the service. Two very different guarantees. They denied my request for a refund. DO NOT BRING YOUR INSTRUMENTS HERE. Horrendous and heartbreaking work. Take it to professionals. No stars. read more

Would not recommend for purchasing a full size violin. I understand that the price seems more appealing than other places but the cost to repair the nuances of this violin would've costed as much as a violin that would've been good to start off with. 1) The strings are placed too close together--it's already hard enough for a beginner to learn how to play the violin and this just makes it even harder to avoid hitting other strings. 2) The bridge was too high--strings were horrible to place fingers down (this could've also been the cheap strings on it too). I've been playing for 12 years and I would never recommend this to a student. 3) When replacing the crusty, no-brand strings with new strings (D'addario prelude), the G strings was so close to the peg box that it sounds scratchy (none of the other strings have this problem). read more

Came here to get my brand new 2025 jj 12 string setup/calibrated, but wasn't satisfied with the work. They sanded my saddle down way too much, which in turn made my guitar start buzzing (guitar action was still fairly high especially in standard tuning). Took it back, only to be told there was nothing they could really do other than raise the action even more. Im already paying a lot just to receive unprofessional work. I ended up having to order a brand new saddle, which only added to my expenses, and get my setup reset elsewhere. Would not recommend for setups. read more

Honestly didn't care for it, went to try out an accordion and they honestly were pretty serious which felt like they were rude. They only started being nice when I bought a wireless system and massiv accordion mic. Feel like they only give good customer service if you're buying something expensive or from a grupo/a musician group. I recommend casa del perro music store. read more

My two kids enjoy coming here to take music classes. One takes piano and the other accordion. From their feedback, they like the professor and feel like they enjoy his way of teaching. The main thing I like is the schedule flexibility. read more

Later that day, I brought in my guitar &he asked if I had time to hang around a little so that I wouldn't have to trek back to pick it up. After picking out my strings from their wide range, I went with the coated D'Addario. Done on the spot in 15 minutes & he even polished the guitar after finishing up!! Bought a violin for my wife, the person that helped me was knowledgeable. Huge issue was that that after the purchase I checked out their website and the same violin I purchased was $50 cheaper. I called the place to ask why they sold me the same one more expensive and the guy that answered blamed in on the website and that I was an error. I wanted to buy classes that they offer but after this experience I will definitely not. Not honest with their prices. read more
