I have gone here multiple times to get piercings and tattoos! I love this place. Autumn is absolutely amazing!! I got a tattoo done by Libby before she left and then got another one by Jo and she is amazing! I also recommend people go here because of how nice Autumn and Jo are as well as the environment! I also love that it is female ran!! Their prices are absolutely reasonable as well. For tattoos and piercings!! read more

I had a tattoo done by Mark and it was reasonable and perfect several years ago. He wasn't available so he recommended Justin. I reached out and was treated extremely rudely by him. He was very nasty and obvious has no customer service skills. Can't tell you about his tattoo skills because he lost my business before he ever got it !!! read more

Note that most of the reviews on here are regarding Autumn and her piercing skills. I on the other hand, made the mistake of only looking at the overall Yelp star rating instead of the individual reviews when I wanted a tattoo. I have gotten a bad script tattoo from this place and after the touch up, the letters ended up healing into different widths and heights. The letters also looked like they were on different planes instead of a straight line. The artist for some reason, thought it looked fine when it was not. The script tattoo also did not look like the handwriting I had as reference (they couldn't do fine line for my tattoos/I don't think they can do fine line at all here), which is shame especially if it is from someone or something meaningful. I left this place trying to convince myself that the tattoos weren't that bad, but I have spent so much time looking for an artist to cover up the mess. There are plenty of other tattoo shops in Raleigh and this one is not it. read more

Went here on a whim to get my septum pierced. LET ME TELL YOU! Autumn was AMAAAAAAZING! explained everything in super detail. And the actual piercing didn't hurt at all! I was nervous cause I had heard from others that a septum piercing hurts so bad and that wasn't true at all with autumn doing it. I will always go to her for all my piercing needs! read more

Libby and Robin were incredibly accommodating, and for someone experiencing their first ever tattoo, I could not have asked for a more welcoming and informative session. Every single detail about our tattooing and healing process was explained with care and detail. We never felt confused or overwhelmed by this new experience. The shop is bright, clean, and fun. They took me and several of my friends on a few day's notice, and every single person left happy. My best friend and I received free touch ups on our tattoos with no problem, as well. I definitely recommend Conspiracy! My tattoo looks fantastic. read more

Autumn was absolutely amazing! This is my second nose piercing and I was extremely nervous cause my first experience was so bad (I went to another shop), but this experience was way better. It didn't hurt at all. Autumn took her time explaining the aftercare and what she was doing while prepping for the piercing. I'm already thinking of going back for another piercing. read more

This place was recommended to me by a friend and after seeing a bunch of the work they did, I was really excited to get my watercolor tattoo. It is kind of an obscure quote from TKAM but I received no judgement. The tattoo turned out more beautiful than I could ever imagine. I am so so happy with it! And it only took about 20 minutes! The communication beforehand was superb. I had originally made an appointment for 5 of us and then only 2 of us ended up going but it was not a problem for her. They are also incredibly reasonable on their pricing! I also freaked out a little because the words were all blurred together the next day and I emailed her frantically and and she reassured me that it was normal and to just put a warm wash cloth on it. read more

A few months ago a friend and I came in to get cartilage piercings. After watching my friend get her ear pierced with no issue I assumed my piercing (conch) would also be no problem.... WRONG! She got the needle though my ear no problem but once she got the needle in she man handled my ear, painfully, for at least 10 minuets trying to get the jewelry in. Now i have over 15 pricing and NEVER have I had a piercer cause me such pain, while also providing me no assurance as to why I'm feeling discomfort during the process. The only thing she could say about the whole experience was that 'she didn't mean to hurt me' which wasn't a great consolation as I assumed that is the bare minimum in terms of a piercers intention. Fast forward to 2 days ago, I had to go to Urgent Care to have the earring medically removed from me ear because the jewelry inserted was too short and it became imbedded in my ear. This issue could have been easily avoided had the piercer inserted a more appropriately sized piece of jewelry initially according to the medical professional who had to remove my jewelry. The jewelry being too short for my ear was clearly indicated by the difficulty she had when trying to insert it into my ear and I am extremely disappointed that rather than change to a different piece of jewelry then and there, the piercer chose to ignore the clear issue, cause me pain, and subsequently cause me to require medical attention. Overall, really disappointing experience. Would not recommend this establishment, especially with Raleigh's abundance of reputable tattoo and piercing shops. read more

My 1st and many more to come. Libby /owner-artist, she runs a very professional shop. Does custom work with a great touch. Robin /artist-piercer , excellent work all around. Shop is located above the " flying saucer tavern." They're also on Facebook - Conspiracy Ink tattoo & piercing. read more

Robin did a fantastic job re-piercing my nose in February. It's healed way better than the initial piercing and the process was quick and painless. She handled my ridiculous fear of seeing needles like the pro she is. (I know, I know... Why get a piercing on your face if you hate needles so much?) Anyway. Great service, really friendly staff, and you can't beat their location - right above the Flying Saucer! There was also some cute handmade jewelry on sale at the register. Bonus! read more

Robin was extremely patient with us considering 3/4 of us have never gotten a tattoo. She took the time to draw out 6 different fonts to add to the design and then positioned the mock up 4 times before inking. She's got an eye for orientation and placement and color hue. She's got a great sense of humor too! Already scoping out the next one! read more

Extremely disappointed ... Not to say the work isn't great but we wouldn't know! My husband and I went in and spoke with Robin regarding a couple tattoos we were interested in and it appeared there was a vision and a plan and we were told that the idea was understood. We paid the fee for the artist to do their draw up and were told we could be in by the end of the week to get started. 2 weeks goes by and finally I get my sketch and it was great but I had some feedback (which we were told to do so we could get exactly what we want) ... Over a month later and no reply or fixed sketch. Also over a month since first meeting my husband has yet to even get a sketch!! He got an email stating that she couldn't find anything about what we talked about (which was mid-evil theme knight and shining armor). He talked over the phone with the artist and has still yet to send any update or draft! Smh read more

Got tattooed by Jes tonight, and can honestly say that I'm so impressed with her line work and how interactive she was with me to make sure I was getting exactly what I wanted, exactly how I wanted it. I am so impressed with her work that I will be traveling back to North Carolina from California for the next few pieces that I have planned, and Jes is so receptive and excited about my ideas that she will be doing my pieces for me. Well worth the trip out here. Can't wait for my next pieces and can't wait to recommend this shop and this amazing artist to everyone. read more

Robin did my piercing last night and I couldn't be happier. She was down to earth and answered all my questions!

Conspiracy Ink was a wonderful experience. The owner, Libby, is a skilled and talented artist who worked with me to make my piece unique to me and exactly how I wanted it. She is friendly and engaging in addition to doing wonderful work. The pricing was agreeable and competitive especially considering the work she did. I would recommend Conspiracy Ink to anybody looking for great tattoo work. read more
