The delivery fee was $15 and I added a greeting card, so with the tip, the whole thing came up to $100. What I really liked about this place is that they were able to drop off the Bouquet in time before my coworker left the hospital. I order a lot of flowers, so I have a reasonable expectation of what arrangements should look like. I was not pleased with what they designed and delivered. I'm thankful to the family member that took a picture, because the arrangement quality was not great. I paid nearly $200 for a funeral arrangement and got a very sparse arrangement with only a few flowers and lots of greenery. The few flowers were strategically placed and not equivalent to the level I purchased. I expect a florist to change things up a bit due to what's available, but what was created/delivered was not reasonably comparable. It was a little embarrassing that their arrangement represented my family's condolences. Even worse: they didn't respond to emails or calls placed to them. So disappointing! My husband purchased a bouquet of flowers for our Anniversary and just a couple days later the flowers are all drooping dead. Who knows how long they keep their bouquets in fridge before selling because only a couple days c'mon that is just so wrong. I've bought flowers from trader Joe's and they have lasted much longer. Update: I received a new bouquet after working things out with 1800 flowers. It was supposed to be sent from another flower shop but they came from here again. The bouquet is nicer, still no dusty miller even though I stressed how important that was to me to the guy from 1800 flowers, I just think they shouldn't take orders if they can't fully deliver on the expectation here. The colors or the carnations are different now too. The bouquet is really well put together and had I not known a difference and received this originally I would've never mentioned a word to anyone. Appreciate the effort put in here and like I said this new arrangement is much nicer, but after all the run around I'm left feeling let down. Original Post: First. The wrong bouquet was delivered to me, completely wrong address, so there went the surprise. I had to call and double check with my husband that he ordered me flowers and then call the flower shop to ask when my flowers would be delivered. They came later and didn't look like the kind of arrangement my husband normally sends me. I took a picture and sent it to him saying I finally got them and he said "That doesn't look like what I ordered you" and sent me the link to what he ordered. Looks like they replaced the beautiful big purple flowers with a similar but different flower and only put two of them, the colors also being switched out from lavender to purple and white. Absolutely NO dusty miller, which is a staple in arrangements that my husband sends me because it played a HUGE part in our wedding, instead was replaced with lots of little green filler. The lavender flowers have been replaced by little red beads. As for the roses there were only 3, and I can count 5 in the advertised photo. This bouquet is terrible, and has literally been laughed at by 3 of my coworkers who have seen it when I showed them the comparison. I called in to talk to someone but was told that the order was placed through 1800 flowers so I have to go through them. Fair enough, but YOU Conroy's were the one that failed to deliver on expectation, I honestly don't even see that effort was put into this arrangement at all. I have now been on the phone with 1800 flowers for the past 40 minutes trying to resolve this issue and get either a refund or flowers delivered from somewhere other than Conroy's. He looked up the order and discussed everything on the order. Then he checked the inventory since the funeral was the next day. He didn't have the exact shape that I had ordered and he told me about a different arrangement that was actually bigger and less expensive than the original I had ordered. We discussed exactly what I wanted and he said he would send me a picture of it after it was done so I could be assured it was perfect. May 8th - Ordered a specific mother's day arrangement online, received a call an hour later that they didn't deliver to El Monte and my money ($81) would be refunded. Five days later May 13th no refund. Called and spoke to associate who said she spoke with Jason (owner) and assured me the refund would appear in my account in a few days. May 24th went into the store to see about my $81 AGAIN and Jason was out of town and NO ONE in that store knew how to give me my refund! There were 2 employees in the store, one was obviously on break and trying to hide while she ate. The poor girl kept looking at the older woman to come help us, but the older one just sat there looking at us and not budging. Finally the one on break had to come to the counter to help us, then she kept trying to get answers from the other person there but she was obviously too busy to help a customer or fellow employee. I felt bad for the young employee who was trying to get me a satisfactory answer. They finally said the owner Jason would return on May 29th. Have not even received my refund or phone call or anything about MY money, which they've kept for 3 WEEKS NOW. Will never shop this store again. Be aware that if you order from 1-800-flowers in Azusa your order will come from THIS Conroys, who's customer service sucks. I'll be returning today (I don't feel I should be chasing my refund but apparently I do) and things won't end well if I don't leave with my $81.14. **Update** I called today, of course Jason the owner is STILL out of town. I ordered birthday flowers for my mom through 1 800 flowers and this is the company that delivered them. They left them at her front door when she wasn't available to get the door, and they sat outside for three days before she realized they were there. That is not the policy that they are supposed to follow. That was just a lazy delivery person. Of course the flowers were pretty much dead so I complained to 1 800 flowers and they promised me that she would get brand-new flowers the next day. Of course she never got them because this company didn't process the order properly, so she ended up waiting all day for this delivery for nothing. Overpriced and commercial looking flowers. Meager selection. Phone/internet orders look better than those purchased in-store; not as good as neighboring florists. Conroy's (and the now-defunct Flowers by Peggy) was our family florist for years. I pretty much had no choice since I wasn't driving or paying back then. I always thought the prices were high, even back in my Jhigh and HS years. I rarely got out to Conroy's nowadays, since my tastes have changed and became more cost-conscious with my money. When I went there in Valentines 2011 since it was near my work commute. To their credit the place seemed fully staffed. However, the cashier could have used help for the long line and the selection was abysmal. No bouquets left. The customers stood around were asking each other how they were supposed to order. One customer started picking out flowers and arranged his own bouquet. So the rest followed suit. I witnessed 5 orders and none were less than that $50. Watched as several talk about how both selection and service was horrible. You'd think it was rude of them to do so, but they did it politely and truth of the matter was, they were right. The cashier was apologetic, but looked overworked. So did the other ladies arranging the flowers. Tip: If you want baby's breath in your selection, make sure you tell them. They might forget. They loaded all of their phone orders in a van outside. The bouquets looked alot alike and better than anything they had left in the store. This place seemed to me like it cared more towards it's internet business than customers standing right in front of them. I figured that I'm not into the big scale, corporatized, pre-manufactured idea of a florist, when I can now go to an independent neighborhood store and get better service, selection, and pricing. I ordered flowers for one of our secretaries who was retiring one month before she was leaving. I wanted to make sure that I could ensure that the flowers would be delivered on time. When I went to 1 800 Flowers website and I had indicated that I needed the delivery time between 8:30 a.m.- 11:00 a.m., the site indicated that I should place my call via telephone to ensure proper delivery time. I did as instructed and called 1 800 Flowers. The representative I spoke with ensured me that the flowers could be delivered between that time frame. After about half an hour of constant repeating of instructions and information, I finally placed the order. Fast forward two weeks, I call to confirm the delivery time and 1 800 Flowers assured me that they had delivery between 8:30 a.m.- 11:00 a.m. I did the same thing the day before delivery and they assured me the same delivery time. The day of the delivery, the flowers were 2 1/2 HOURS LATE!!! I called 1 800 Flowers every 30 minutes starting at 11:00 a.m. and they told me the same story, the florist was "on their way." Well that was a lie as they were TWO AND A HALF HOURS LATE! Then, I try to get the florist shop information from 1 800 Flowers and they tell me that they can't give that information out! Are you kidding me?!!! I was confused as to why they couldn't tell me any of that information. Our secretary got the flowers just as she was getting into her car to leave. This flower shop does no deliver on its promise in relation to the orders they fulfill on behalf of 1800 Flowers. Issue #1: I ordered a Large arrangement and received the small arrangement of Mom's Tea Party. Issue #2: Sara estimated that I should have received a number of roses when I received well under the amount stated. Issue #3: Sara stated that "there are many orders to fulfill and it is difficult to fulfill all orders." I am not sure what that means but only that my order was overlooked and poor quality flowers were delivered. Issue #4: Sara also stated that there are other local flower shops in the neighborhood and if I am not satisfied with Conroy's I do not have to shop here. That is an interesting model in getting folks to recommend this flower shop. Issue #5: Sara stated that 1800 Flowers is a "wired business" and "we only get a portion of the transaction." There is some lack of professionalism and care in executing orders and deliveries. There are issues in regards to quality of flower and poor execution. I wish I could have spoken to the owner because the seasonal worker named Sara did not know what she was talking about. She would put me on hold to speak with the Manager named Jason. When I asked to speak with the Manager, Sara informed me that he was "busy." Yet she put me on hold 3 times for a total of 6-7 minutes. I could have spoken to the manager. Please do not waste your time in dealing with Conroy's Flowers. You are better off calling 1800 Flowers and requesting the order to be placed should go to another local shop. I was so so disappointed this years with quality of roses. My husband sends me a dozen long stem roses every year for Valentine's Day (which are not cheap) I can make them last for almost 10 days after. I change the water , place them in the refrigerator if it too hot remove and drying petals etc. When I received the flowers at work the petals were already browning on the edges and the stems were not stiff. I figured they might have been in the delivery car to long so I mistes them when I get home and refrigerate them . I asked my husband if he ordered the roses for the same place as last year and he said yes. He was very upset he paid so much money for the poor quality of roses we received.
