He is a very detailed and reliable painter who communicates openly and honestly throughout the process, making sure to include you in all decisions. I ran into Conrad in Home Depot of all places. I was being misguided by the Home Depot paint department guy about a cabinet refinishing kit. He walked by and kinda gave me a look that said "don't buy that, trust me" to which I asked him, well tell me what I should do! He gave me great advice on types of paint and what would work best, also places that I could go to get the right stuff. Never once did he try to push his services on me, he was just a friendly guy trying to help. I appreciate that more than ever these days. So I asked if he could help me even more so, by coming and giving me an estimate to do the work himself. I couldn't be any happier that we crossed paths. Conrad came to my house and conquered, pretty much the entire interior of my home from baseboards to ceilings. His meticulous attention to detail was and is beyond words. He didn't miss a spot, he caulked the areas in the home the builders missed when they built it, he sanded and sanded the baseboards until they were smooth as glass and ready for new paint. He fixed the bullnose on the corners and retextured the walls, the nail holes and dings from over the years. The house looks and feels brand new, my stairs look brand new, my baseboards and walls look better than the day I bought the home. He was extremely helpful, and very patient with us while we decided on colors. I thought his prices were extremely fair, doing the math on paint and materials, plus time it would take for me to do the job myself, it was a no brainer to have Conrad do it. After I saw all the work he did and the time he spent on my home I thought his prices were outstanding. You will get more than you pay for! He put forth the time and effort that I feel he would put into his own home. He was just excited as we were about the job, and that passion for his work really showed. Where do I even begin? These guys knocked it outta the park!! Conrad and his crew (Donald & Joshua) did an amazing job on our home. We got so many quotes and some prices were comparable but the detail that Conrad ensured, sealed the deal for us. He went over everything and gave us pointers when it came to picking out colors; he uses Dunn & Edwards paint (the colors I chose are: Cochise for the body and White Fever for the trim) Conrad and the crew is thorough and I mean THOROUGH!! It took a total of 4 days to complete our house, 9+ hour days. 2 1/2 of those days were spent prepping (filling cracks, repairing any missing stucco, sanding, pressure washing, you name it, they did it!) On top of being so detail oriented, they were professional, courteous, punctual and cleaned up after themselves each and every day. These guys were working in 100°+ weather and all I ever saw were smiles, not once did they complain about the heat. You might find someone that takes less time, but when it comes to your home, why would you want to cut corners?? I definitely would recommend Conrad's Painting. I needed some stucco repair, water damage repair, and to have my front door painted. I appreciated his honesty about how much work and money it would cost to strip and paint the type of door I had (could potentially cost more than the cost of a new door). The previous owners painted over the old paint and didn't remove the hardware when they painted it. I think they also used the wrong type of paint since the paint started peeling off when it got wet. The door was a mess and looked horrible. So after talking to Conrad, I decided to just have it painted instead of stripped down for now, and that I would buy a new door later. I just needed it to be one solid color for now so it wasn't so hideous looking. I saved a lot of money by not having it stripped down and it turned out great.
