Prior to going to see Dr. Sandoval, I made the mistake of visiting one of these "fast food" dental places. HUGE Mistake. I went there because of all the great reviews. And when I left, I felt like I should've had a number tattooed on my skin somewhere for all they did for and to me. A great review can only be given if your expectations are met, and honestly, if you expect to be slapped in a chair, rushed through an exam and told the highest, most expensive level of procedures is what you need without the testing or research to back it up, then, by all means, go to these heartless places and you'll be fine. However: If you want a personalized treatment plan that addresses any concerns, reasonable prices, a caring staff, and an experience that makes you breathe out and say, "Finally. This is what I want," go see Dr. Sandoval and the wonderful people in Belen.

We were very happy with each phase of our first day with this company. They set us up with their 1st available appointment that was over a month out, but put us on a call earlier list if there is a cancellation. This was great for us, because as retirees we could be available at a days notice. Both of us got calls to come in earlier than our scheduled appointments. Front desk staff were very efficient at processing Maggie & I as 1st time patients. The dental team makes the 1st appointment 2hrs long to do a very thorough exam. They want your input to get your level of involvement in the dental care process. The equipment they have is top of the industry standard. It gives the patient a good view of dental issues, allowing a more knowledgeable choice by patient & Dentist. We never felt pressured to additional care that wasn't truly required at the present time. We were given a break down priority list of items needed & told they would work with us on payment steps based on the priority list. Even given discounts on how payments can be made. While we were trying to resolve a payment issue due to an expired card, I called their office line to find an alternative way to pay. While explaining to the phone representative that the front desk wasn't explaining the charges clearly, Cole interrupted and defensively snapped that he had already explained it. It was incredibly rude and unprofessional. While we both may have been having a stressful day, his customer service was completely unacceptable. Hoping to resolve the situation, I tried to schedule an appointment with the manager last Thursday to explain what happened. I was promised a callback from management that never came. Instead, when I arrived for my scheduled appointment the following week, I was told they had canceled my appointment and would no longer service me. While I respect that businesses have their own policies and I have no desire to return, their complete lack of communication and failure to address a customer service issue is deeply disappointing. Once getting there, filling out forms with all the necessary personal information. Even-though I have no issues with any of my teeth or gums that would warrant x-rays he would not let me have my teeth cleaned. I informed him of past breast cancer and that I avoid unnecessary radiation as much as possible. The dentist said that without the x-rays he could not do his job. I asked if he could do a visual exam and I will allow x-rays if needed when a problem arises. The dentist said to go somewhere else. The dentist I was seeing wasn't being very professional towards the end. I went in to get fillings. The amazing dentist that works here named Jenifer made a ever so small mistake and didn't numb me correctly. Instead of owning up to her mistake and talking to me, she decided to kick me out and get me banned from the place. I tried several times to talk to her to get it cleared up but she refused to talk to me. If you are expecting your dentist to be professional, try another place. The manager wouldn't even listen to my side of it, just took Miss Jenifer's side at face value. Sucks because she is an amazing dentist that made me feel safe and comfortable. But she wouldn't admit or even talk about the situation so I can't recommend this place. If she would cal me and work this out with me I would be perfectly happy to change this review. But I first called about a month ago and she refuses to call back so I don't think that will ever happen. TL:DR The dentists there are very good at their job, but the one that I saw made a mistake and instead of talking about it, avoided it completely being very unprofessional. Sadly can't recommend.
