I still have not to this day never printed a single photo! We ended up re-shooting a year later with someone else. I sat down to finally print my wedding book tonight, and absolutely awful. Never received any edited photos. Hi Eric- So I'm a bit unhappy with the final pictures. I feel there was NO attention to detail taken. The pictures in the bridal suite have a big stinking AC in the background. I'm literally in a couture gown in front of an AC unit. I don't care to print most of the photos taken there. It would have been had the ac unit been photo shopped out, or they tried another location to shoot the dress. Im apalled that the grooms photos were taken on the balcony with the ac unit in the background, and in the hallway of the hotel, the railing in the hallway is so cringy (it screams motel 6)!! And not to mention the miscellaneous peoples in the background. There was so many better places on the property that these photos could have been taken. Finally, I wish your photographers would have reviewed their cameras a little closer, my daughter one of the flower girl did not make one pretty smile. All sorts of weird faces and expressions from her (not your guys fault) but it would have been nice had she or I been cued to smile pretty etc. I don't even have one nice photo. I mean you guys are the professionals. One of my bridesmaids there is only two pictures with and she looks freakish in both. Again how about looking at the camera, and Making sure you got a good shot. Lastly, most of the photos that I do like from the beach have people in the background. Can this be photoshopped? I literally at this point don't even have one photo that I would like to print and hang. Really don't feel like I got any images like the ones on your website. I'm really bummed as there are no do-overs, at least with my whole wedding party. I will be redoing photos with my husband and daughters at some point. Hopefully, we will then finally have the photos I had hoped for. I hope you take this criticism constructively back to your team. The photography and style seamed professional but it was the lack of attention to detail that really led to poor photos in our opinion. Let me start off my saying that I hate being photographed. I enjoy public speaking but put me in…read morefront of a camera and I get stage fright. I'd rather sit through having my blood drawn by a technician with hand tremors than sit trough a photo shoot. Unfortunately I need to have photos taken from time to time. But because I teach fun workshops with cute titles, like Flirting For Nerds, my events routinely attract local papers, magazines and blogs. So two or three times a year (perennially busy) freelance photographers are hired by papers to take photos to go along with their news stories. It feels like a whirlwind of flashbulbs, confusing directions and my own worries about by hair being out of place, bra strap showing or giving a drivers license worthy mug. It's a 50/50 chance a good pic gets published. Last year a friend of mine recommended having head shots taken to cut down on future anxiety inducing publicity photos. She also recommended photographer Kyle Weaver, and I am very grateful that she did. I contacted Kyle via his website and got a quick response. I told him I had no idea what to do in front of the camera and preemptively apologized for my nerves. While my nervousness about having my photo taken wasn't magically cured, I have to say I never thought a photo shoot could be a fun and even relaxed event. I didn't have to go to an empty photo studio, Kyle came to one of the venues I present my workshops at, putting me in my comfort zone. I was relieved as soon as we shook hands. Kyle was friendly and easy going from the get go. We chatted about my workshops, the types of groups I present to and that I like to keep my look professional but approachable and joke around a fair amount when I present to groups. Before I knew it I was surrounded by a large umbrella like light a reflector and Kyle with his camera aimed at me casually taking test shots while we continued to talk. I can't tell you how pleased I was with the experience and the resulting photos. Kyle listened to my suggestions for posing and was patient enough to let me know if I was holding my arms in an awkward way or needed to relax my smile (two things I have a hard time noticing on my own). He carefully and confidently took photos from different angles, not shooting like a machine gun (like so many previous photographers I shot with did) in attempt to catch at least one good photo out of dozens. And the photographs that Kyle produced? They were beautiful! They made me feel beautiful. I marveled at how flattering the photos were and how his skill in arranging lighting just so made all the difference. Yes, Kyle is a photographer, but in my opinion he's an artist. Now I have photos that I'm proud to have accompany articles and am also quite tickled by how many compliments I've received on the pics. I'll try and upload my head shots to yelp. Mind you, this was the week before our date. Kyle reached out via Yelp messages after I started a "project." From the get-go, he was very responsive, informative, and honest. His prices were very competitive, yet affordable. We sent him some inspiration of what we were looking for, and he was quite honest about whether or not he could capture/edit to our liking. We were hesitant at first, since he didn't have many reviews yet, but his website showed amazing work and he had excellent customer service thus far. We decided to move forward. Fast forward to our day, he was flexible with our time. He gave us a full hour from a time that technically wasn't what we originally agreed upon, but I'm so glad he was able to accomodate us!! He was able to help us get all the pictures we wanted. He guided us through the session, while we also guided him. It was a great team effort. We had quite a bit of family and friends there too and he helped us get those photos. He gave us sneak peeks literally the next morning; and asked us about what we liked/didn't like and then asked about editing styles (since we provided references prior). He gave us a google drive link within a few days of all our edited photos! He originally quoted us for providing a certain number of pictures, but he ended up providing that, and then some!!
