There is a taqueria inside, it had a line of regulars waiting to order at 2 in the afternoon, so I am going to say that is a good indicator of them, though I did not personally order from them. The restaurant area was spotless, contrasting the not as modern and not as clean convenience store part of the place. It was not horribly dirty, but could definitely be better tended to for sure.

Us Hawaii folks always getting ripped off with our fuel cost out here in the islands! I was gonna return my rental car & skip town the next day, so I figured I'd better plan ahead & fill up my rental car before driving back to the airport the next morning. RaceTrac wasn't too far from my hotel, so I figured I'd swing by to get some gas. I couldn't believe the OUTSTANDING gas prices in Texas. If I lived here, my Mustang would be so happy, as my car sucks up da gas like no tomorrow! Lol! We don't have "RaceTrac" here in the islands, but I would say that it's your typical gas station/convenience store. Where I'm from, we have "Aloha Gas" & "Hele Gas" convenience stores out here in the islands, and it's the same concept as RaceTrac, with the exception of the food items, as Aloha Gas, & Hele Gas probably carries food stuff, that the locals love in da 808. This particular RaceTrac gas station had a lot of gas pumps, so there was absolutely no wait time to refill my rental. Came here, and got what I needed, so I was all set for the following morning. They're swamped at the pumps and swamped in the convenience store that is attached to the gas station. The good news is though that they have lots of capacity to service a lot of customers. They have 48 pumps that carry all grades of unleaded, as well as diesel fuel. The pumps are kept in good working order and are always clean. The convenience store part of this is your typical gas station convenience store that serves both bottle and Fountain sodas and snacks. They also sell ice and propane for those that need that. The staff is always very friendly and always working at a quick pace respectful of everybody that is coming in time. I have been to several RaceTrac gas stations and while I'm always impressed, this one is a little bit of A Cut Above many of the others.

This particular QuikTrip might have the dirtiest pumps I have seen at any QT. Seriously they are nasty dirty! Even the regular fuel handles are so dirty they look like truck stop diesel pumps. They also do not do a good job keeping receipt paper in the pump, so inevitably you end up having to go in and wait in line to get a receipt, which as busy as this place is, is a major pain in the butt. The pumps are also madness. There is no order and when they are busy people are darting from one line to another and so they end up pointed all different directions at the pump. Seriously, I had forgotten why I avoid this location, but one trip back it was easy to remember. When I had to use the toilet I sat down because I was in a hurry and looked to my left and noticed how dirty it was. You start looking around for alternatives. When looking around for the alternatives I found a Chevron station at the corner of Midway and LBJ. This by no means is a new Chevron it's been here for years I have just always tuned it out because I usually purchased my gas at Sam's. So I crossed the road to the southeast corner of the highway and Midway to get my gasoline. Throw this station is a little old it is really not that bad. It's pretty well maintained. I do wonder how they keep in business with their prices being so much higher then Sam's right across the street from them. I guess they are relying on the people that do not have memberships to Sam's.
