I was told to get there early because the pineapple's go fast. Score...I found a stack of pineapples to choose from and more! Pork skins is what you normally find in a San Antonio super market. However, the pork skins in JD's Super Market are massive. Never seen such large pork skins in my life. Also, I found some Mexican drinks like Agua Fresca (refreshing drink made with fresh fruits blended or squeezed into water, often sweetened with sugar) and horchata (creamy drink made from rice, cinnamon, and vanilla, popular in Mexico). There were a variety of sweet treats on the shelf as well as grab and go that you do not typically see in other super markets. I imagine if you looking for exotic spices or unusual goods, this is the market for you.

You can get dried hibiscus and chamomile flowers if you're looking to make your own tea blend. The cashiers are definitely lackadaisical but I've never seen one be rude. Lots of items are definitely more expensive than HEB, but it does offer being closer and on my way to/from work. Hubs has ordered food from the restaurant inside and says it's pretty good. If it's a location policy, I can understand that but to say I cannot do it at any QuikTrip is simply untrue as I'd just left the store not even 5 mins down the road and purchased some. Just wanted to grab tickets on the way into work. She also kept mentioning cash back and I didn't need or want cash back. Overnights are a struggle for NAs, I'm sure but it doesn't excuse customer service.

The cheese, meat, and vegetables are pretty much what you'd expect them to be, and the bread is crispy without being tough and overly crunchy. I can tell the ingredients are fresh, because they offer fresh spinach, which must be replenished regularly. You can have them make a loaded sandwich for about $8. Worth it!

Along with the convenience store there is a Taqueria and a liquor store immediately next-door. And just a stones throw away from the convenient store sits the whiskey girls saloon. The convenience store has about 25 cold doors of drinks, some fresh donuts and most of the necessities convenience stores carry. The convenience store itself is about 25' x 50' which is smaller than your average newly built Quiktrip. They have plenty of ice, firewood and they do sell propane tanks.
