Your typical run-of-the-mill Appliance and electronics store for sure. We went in on a Saturday evening and oh my goodness that had to be at least 12 sales people and you ready to kill and hunt down the prey aka the customer. They basically give you a 2-minute intro to what's going on in sales and then immediately want to run your credit no matter where you are in the process of looking for something new. Whether you're ready to close, it's your first day looking etc. they just want to go ahead and run your credit so definitely be aware of that and try to stay far from that! I know this is their job but at the end of the day if you are not ready for that you should never feel pressured. Also know they want that commission check so it all cost they'll do whatever they need to do to give you a deal today. That can be good or bad. Now that you have been warned know that they do have a lot of awesome deals and appliances going on along with furniture that looks very savory. Most of the employees here are very clean-cut and mannerable along with the atmosphere of the store. There so many things to demo and play with that you will have a good time here and if you bring along kids they will too. This place reminds me of the old Circuit City probably because it has the same vibe to it and also happens to be in the same building with the same shape as that plug into the ground look used to be. Be ready to sit down for a very long process if you plan to go forward and go ahead and cancel all plans for the rest of the day if so. Other than that bathrooms are in the back right in the lit open room and their water fountains for all the Talking that you might have to do to these salesman's by simply saying no no no no no no no no no no no no. I really enjoyed my time at Conn's. I needed a mattress after my roommate and his fiancé had ruined mine. I guess that's what I get for being a good friend. I met a young man named Brady who took great care of me. Brady was kind, calm, and VERY smart. He told me so much about all sorts of mattresses, fashion, football, and his father Carey. We had a great time and I believe I have gained a life long friend in Brady. Please give this man a raise as he saved my relationship with my roommate and got me a great mattress. Zero star would be better suited than one star for this company or maybe personally I think it's the management team that work on Peter's Road in Knoxville. Just moved to the area and needed to purchase a washer and dryer, found what we wanted which at that time the manufacture was giving a rebate. We decided to look at other places before purchasing from Conn's to make sure we were getting the best deal. Went to Home Depot and they had the same brand and model of washer and dryer which was $200 less plus the manufacture rebate but unfortunately we would have to wait 2 weeks for delivery which Conn's stated next day. We went back to Conn's and told them Home Depot was cheaper which Conn's advertises does price comparison which the sale person would match the price. After one hour waiting on manager's who in my opinion had no business being in their positions stated they would give us the price match but not the manufacture rebate. What?!?!?!? The rebate is paid back to the Conn's. After an exchange of conversations stating we wanted to talk to corporate but the idiot managers said it's just through email that we couldn't - HA HA. After stating you are receiving the rebate back from the manufacture and Conn advertise's "price matching" they wouldn't budge. We left and purchased through Home Depot with fabulous customer service. We now call Conn's Home Plus the "con" company, lies, lies and more lies out of the management team. read more

Love this company, went to the Knoxville location, Steve was my sales person, wonderful, wonderful, wonderful. Everyone in the store was professional without making you feel like you did not belong. Went to the store in Knoxville to shop for a new mattress. After spending 3+ hrs of looking for a mattress that I absolutely loved. With the price of the mattress since 2 were bought we qualified for next day delivery. However next day deliver ment 2 days later. Not a big deal as I was really looking forward to this mattress and finally a good night sleep. Finally my new mattress arrives. The delivery crew was very professional. The mattress was the brand I wanted, however I order soft and they sent me a firm. Contacted the store and they confirmed they sent me the wrong mattress and the correct one would be expedited. Had no choice but to try and sleep on it. 2 days later of miserable sleep and excruciating back, shoulder, and hip pain, I call the store again. This is where I am informed that it's scheduled to be delivered in another 2 days. So what went from next day delivery, to waiting 2 days for initial and almost another week for the correction. On September 29 I percused a sofa love seat and washer and dryer from Conn's on peters rd. in Knoxville Tn. they where to deliver them on Oct. 01 the washer was damaged so they was to return with the new one. As they where turning their truck around the driver backed into a trucking had setting there and left. I called and talked with several managers at Conn's and they promise to have someone call me back and take care of it. But as of today no one still hasn't called me back. I've even called the main office in Texas and they say the same thing that someone will call me back. But it's all a lie. We spend over $6000.00 with them and it's been a bad experience all the way. We were told by Derrick smith to drive 40 miles to get our furniture while it was still on sale. I asked if they had what I wanted and gave the item numbers on the chair but didn't know the love seat number oh yes oh yes we have it but limited so on my only day off 40 miles one way we get there and was told to ask for him by name so he could take care of us Derrick smith, well we were surprised at his lack of knowledge and inventory, we got the feeling he was in a hurry and told us look around and didn't seem to care about our buisness even after we find out that he lied about having the furniture he assured us of having. We walked out to the car and he and the desk lady were headed off for lunch or break and he n ever said a word to us so I went back in and spoke to a white shirt manager and he found a wonderful lady named Andrea to assist us. They apologized for our experience and I told them I was not pleased by his behavior and he needed to be dealt with. I hope Derrick understands that we the people work hard for our money and to choose a brand like conn's furniture we deserve respect and to be treated like we matter. UPDATE: Conn's NEVER replied to this, obviously still do not care about customer service.-- Unreliable on PROMISED delivery of Washer/Dryer, so I now have time to waste at the laundromat to tell YOU about their idea of Customer Service. If you don't want to read the whole story: Outcome is they VERY CASUALLY let me cancel a $1300+ order with ZERO attempt to make my situation better. We chose Conn's over Lowe's & Home Depot, both with sales that have now ended. Hey Conn's, I'm new to Knoxville and need a houseful of furniture & appliances. Guess where I won't be spending Thou$and$?? Back to my story: We were assured, promised a Friday delivery, computer checked & yup, they had 6 coming on Wed so definitely GO for Friday. Called them Thurs re: what time are they due on Friday? Ummmm, we don't have your Dryer. MAYBE at warehouse Fri & when I pushed for Sat delivery not a very confident yes. Called the Husband, he was the one who ordered the pair & made sure, got that Promise, for Friday. He was furious. I called Conn's for what now? We see 3 options 1. find us a white dryer & del Fri 2. sub matching colored pair, their cost & del Fri 3. cancel order. They chose #3. OK we'll be in that evening to run the credit on our card. Gets better... When we arrive, we overhear the conversation between one sales person & the manager that they'd know several days before (certainly by Wed) that our Dryer was not getting to the warehouse in time for our Promised delivery. NO ATTEMPT TO FIX IT OR INFORM US. That sealed it, DONE WITH CONN'S. On the plus side, they seem fine with losing sales & returning your money. If I could give them a zero I would. This has been the worst experience ever. I purchased a refrigerator in June of last year. The compressor went out in October. After several hang ups and the service department not returning calls they finally sent someone out. The part came in a week later but it was defective and I had to wait another week for a new one. It took a month to get it fixed. It is not easy to live without a fridge when you have 3 children including a 6 month old. Now here we go again. My fridge again quit working on April 6th. We called them on the 7th. We got a call back from a manager on the 9th promising someone would be out on the 10th to look at it. Here it is the 15th and I haven't heard anything. I called them today and yes ...they hung up on me. I called back and asked for a manager and was transferred to voice mail. I called back and was told it would be the 19th before anyone could come to look at it. What am I supposed to do until then? Now mind you I purchased at an additional charge the replacement plan and extended warranty. Why??? When I told them to just come and pick it up they said I would still have to pay for it. Is this really how they treat their customers? Yes.. Yes it is. I have purchased a washer, dryer and tv with them and have never been late. The fridge is still under warranty with GE. I called and asked for help with Conn's corporate office and was told that I had to go through customer service... What customer service??? This is HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!! read more

We went in looking for a dining room table. Four people stared at us as soon as we walked in and one salesman who introduced himself immediately (and very politely) followed us around the entire time even though we said we did not need help. It was so uncomfortable that we had to leave. They have what appear to be lovely products but I could not look at them in a relaxed way at all. The customer service was great...until you purchased it. After that, good luck. I financed $10k worth of furniture for my new house and never even considered this place, but thought we would check it out. Our salesman was amazing. But it was all downhill after that. After waiting for 3 WEEKS for our 2nd furniture delivery to arrive (which our salesman pushed through faster) we were finally settled in and finally had a place to sit. My wife purchased a $100 TV wall mount which we did not need. So I figured it's never been opened I'll just take it back. Unfortunately it had been over 30 days so NO RETURN! Wait...what? You made me wait more than 30 days for $10000 worth of furniture but you won't credit my account $100 for an unopened product? Ridiculous! I even sent an email complaint and they auto replied! Obviously this company could care less so I hope this review keeps others from setting foot in this place. Paid them off, closed my account, and took my business online. Never been happier. No wonder they call this place con's they con people we bought a I care comfort bed last yr and the mattress had sunk fast repair came out twice but, wouldn't fix the bed and I also got a recliner that had a hole on the top fast repair came out the first time and left a mess and didn't repair the chair and they came out the 2nd time still didn't fix the chair customer service kept giving us the run around we went to somewhere else I wouldn't recommend these people to anyone. read more
