It has a beautiful perimeter of trees and shrubs. Inside, there's open green space with a pond, covered picnic tables, and playground equipment. It's a refurbished park...and it's lovely! There are two basketball courts, a large grassy area, one nice playground, and a separate area for swings. It's really a great layout. The park is easy enough to get to and parking is not bad even with youth sports taking place. The park has a pool, playground, tennis courts, a basketball court, sports fields and a baseball diamond. There are mature trees for shade and some spots for a picnic. We seem to visit more parks now that we have grandchildren. It is a great way to enjoy the outdoors and spending time with the grandkids is one of the greatest joys in my life.

The band was amazing and the venue was a really nice location. What I liked about this park was that La Costa Canyon High School was within walking distance, so parking was plentiful. The park itself was clean, spacious, and well lit. It's located inside a quiet neighborhood and his family oriented. There's a play area for a little kids and soccer fields and basketball courts for the bigger kids. There are lots of grassy areas with big trees for those who want a nice picnic without direct sunlight beating down on them.

Many times of the day, there's enough of a breeze to keep things cool. Second, there's a fun playground for the kiddos. Even if you don't have kids with you, I like hearing the sound of kids playing. I enjoy that this is a great place to start for a hike up to Double Peak Park. If you are working your way up to hiking further, you don't need to go very far to get to some nice view spots.

While my kiddo was happy with the camp and enjoyed it, I was not happy with the teachers. There were two 'teachers'- Nicholas and Craig. Both rarely greeting the parents at pick-up or drop-off and never greeted the kids either. Um, if I'm about to leave my kid with you for 3 hours, at least greet us! The Civic Center offers a ton of classes- kids, adults, enrichment, etc. I hope this particular class isn't representative of the quality of the classes there. All the direct employees I've interacted with from registering my child, questions about the camp, etc..all very pleasant and helpful.
