I first met Dr. Ringel when I was inquiring about Laser surgery. Although another place said I was…read morea good candidate for it, Dr. Ringel disagreed because I was suffering from dry-eye and laser (and now Lasik) would make my condition worse. Dr. Ringel has been treating me for dry-eye and found a solution that will work with my eyes. My eyes no longer itch, look red, or have pain from constant rubbing. When I was seeing flashes of light in both eyes, Dr. Ringel saw me often and referred me to a specialist for more evaluation and to concur with his diagnosis. He also caught the beginning stages of cataracts which he will treat when it becomes necessary. Dr. Ringel and his wonderful staff put patients first. They are friendly and courteous. They take the time to answer my questions, often repeatedly, without being annoyed. The Optician, Lou Giorgi, is in the same office, so my prescription is sent electronically and I don't have to travel to get glasses or contacts. Never had a problem with my glasses purchased here, and cleaning and small repairs are free. It's a personable but professional office. I had a skin tag under my eye and one on my eyelid that bothered me, but my dermatologist wouldn't remove them. A surgeon in Dr. Ringel's office, Dr. Johnson, removed them. I highly recommend Dr. Ringel, his colleagues, and staff.

I saw was friendly but they were supposed to send a prescription and 5 hours after my appointment they still haven't sent it. I tried calling the main office line and it took forever to talk to an actual person. I put a ? after provider because she only introduced herself as Nicole. I have no idea if she was a MD or NP which doesn't matter but would be nice to know.

At the end of June I started to get some rashes on my body starting under my twins then under the…read morebelt. Then it spread to my back. They were very itchy rashes and red. So I called Dermatologists to see if I could get an appt but most of them had appts available for August. Mind you this is the end of June beginning July. Because of the itchiness I could not wait. So I looked up my insurance and they had Certified Dermatology available. So I called and got a fast appt to see an MD. Instead I found out that the person was not an MD but a LNP afterwards. When I arrived at my appt, 1st there was confusion because the MD that I thought I was going to no longer worked at the office that I went to. 2nd there was only one person there seeing patients so they had to ask her if she could squeeze me in. When it was my turn, pictures were taken of my rashes and then the one dermatologist came in to see me. She saw the pictures, I explained to her my situation so she looked me over. Her diagnoses was that it was fungal so she prescribed shower wash to lather up with and leave on for 3-5 mins then rinse to use 3 days a week and added an ointment to put on my folds, meaning under my twins and on my belly folds and made an appt for a follow-up 4 weeks later. I followed her instructions but found that my rashes got worse. They spread even more. So I called her office and left a message for her to tell her the shower wash and ointment was not working but to call me. She did return my call but 2 days later because it was a Friday when I called. By that time I couldn't wait any longer so I was suggested to call another dermatologist so I did. I was given an appt for that same week. so I went. This time he was a MD. And well recommended. His diagnoses was Linchen Planus (look it up) not fungal. Now I have to go thru ultraviolet lite, pills and prescribed cream for the itchiness. Because of an incorrect diagnose my rashes got worse and spread to my upper thighs, upper back, around my arms where my armpits down to my arms, palms, ankles, top of my feet, sides of my legs and in my mouth. I don't have anything against Nurse Practitioners but they shouldn't be making diagnoses. This office, Certified Dermatology should have MDS in these offices working with the Nurse Practioners instead of just Nurse Practioners. So what I'm saying is that you should research and find an MD who knows and give the correct diagnose of what is going on with you.
