I've attended work Christmas parties, weddings, and birthday parties (for both kids and adults). There are rooms appropriate for each event. The kid birthday parties have all been in Wilderness Lakes Preserve's screened in rooms. These rooms are adorned with wooden benches and chairs, a sink and a large trashcan. Bathroom access is right beside the screened in area. The air flow in these rooms is great, making summer parties doable. The wedding and Christmas party were held in a room that includes overstuffed chairs and couches, a kitchen area, heat and AC and space enough to dance and mingle. This room also has a huge back porch with chairs and access to a fire pit. Included with our rental (we held a kid's birthday party in one of the screened rooms) was access to the pool. There are also playgrounds, tennis courts, a dock and basketball nets in the vicinity. Renting was relatively easy. We visited in person, dropped off a check as down payment and scheduled a date and time. Barring no issues, the check will be voided following your visit. Why not five stars? Well, you have to rent in person, there is no online option. I wish there was a way to reserve online. We had a difficult time with the pool as it has a lock and we kept getting shut out. Temporary access codes/cards would make movement a bit easier. Other than those minor issues, Wilderness Lakes Preserve is a decent place to hold an event in Land O' Lakes, no matter what type of event you are looking to host.
