I left a review last year regarding the exceptional experience and dare that patients of Dr. Patel and his team receive. since that time, I underwent surgery under Doctor Patel's leadership he and his team always made time for the procedure, for every follow up inquiry and genuine care. I needed to be seen after surgery and was introduced to Debbie Vaughan, PA-C. simply put, once again,... exceptional. Both Dr. Patel and Debbie work so well together with respect and in unison. Debbie was technically/medically superior but shared the trait of empathy. she addressed a challenging issue and her genuine demeanor made all the difference. I know there will be more visits to the office and can exhale knowing I'm in the most capable and caring hands of Dr. Patel, Debbie Vaughan and Liz, Dr. Patel's medical assistant. thank you team. read more

Type Ears, Nose,throat. Care Quality - Top rated medical physicians. Office Experience- the worst I ever had in all my medical history. Let me explain: My wife had a schedule medical appointment for 2:00 pm We arrived 1:00 pm . I based our arrival time on the Air Force motto. "Early is on time! and On time is late. Our early arrival provides us extra time to filled out any necessary medical form updates. My wife decided to stay in the vehicle and asked me to go in and report to the front receptionist that our appointment is for 2:00 pm but we are early. We were handed me some forms by the receptionist and told please have this forms completed before the appointment. I told the receptionist that we were park adjacent to the building and will be in shortly. What happens next is right out of a Hitchcock movie. We enter the building at 1:45 pm and we're told by the rude receptionist that we were late for our 2:00 pm appointment and that we were mark down as a no show. My wife attempted to maintain her equilibrium with the response given by the rude receptionist. My wife explained to rude receptionist we arrived 1 hour before our scheduled appointment and even had the forms completed. But No, the rude receptionist was adamant that we were late and mark us down as a no show. Because we were not here for a hearing test and that test requires extensive preparation before meeting with the physician. It would have been nice on my initial entry to confirmed my wife's medical appointment that it was imperative to ensure we come in early to meet the require perquisite of this medical evaluation/ examination. We traveled over an hour to make this appointment so you can imagine how upset we were when receptionist made the arbitrary decision to cancel our appointment as a no show( which was an out right lie) with out any compassion or consideration to our effort we made to be here on time. Overall the Physicians at this practice are exceptional but the administrative staff lacks professionalism, compassion, and could use some customer service training on how to manage patients reporting for medical appointments. So inclusion when you make an appointment at this practice- ensure you asked all the pertinent questions regarding your appointment. Leave nothing to chance . Or you may be like my wife and I . Left to our own recourse and now attempting to find a medical practice that can provide the vital necessary medical evaluation she so dearly needs. A very disappointed husband read more

Went to the Wethersfield location for an ear issue. Was seen by their APRN four times without the issue being accurately diagnosed or treated. Requested to be seen by another provider. He also was unable to diagnose or treat the issue after ordering CT scan. We have a high deductible and are in over 2k for an ear issue that isn't being resolved. Went to another ENT (not affiliated with this group) and he was able to diagnose and treat the issue with one visit. Extremely disgusted with this group and wouldn't recommend to anyone. read more

Called the office to make an appointment for my sister. They told me they did not take her insurance. So I said that's ok she needs a specialist she has something seriously wrong that the walk in could not take care of. I asked how much for the visit without insurance and the woman ans back you can't do that it's insurance fraud...when I asked her why was it fraud she said it is and the insurance you have will just make you pay it back in double. When I tried to ask her if I came in there was she going to call the insurance company and tell them because if I paid for it how would anyone know.....she hung up on me....very rude. read more

I have left several messages for Dr. O'Brien's medical assistant after I had my CT scan done in November. No one is getting back with me with the results and what needs to be done next. I don't understand the real reason behind it and feeling a bit disappointed and frustrated. read more

The care that was given to my husband by Dr Patel and Dr Kuwada was beyond excellent. The doctors and their team were very informative and thorough in the treatment of my husbands cancer. it made a difficult process a little bit easier. I highly recommend them for anyone who is faced with this life changing issue. read more

One and done at the Wethersfield location. Lack of communication with the patient is an understatement, it doesn't exist. After months of an issue with the loss of taste and smell, I was seen by Debbie Vaughan, PA-C, who gave me an oral exam and informed me that an MRI was in order. I had the MRI immediately, but after waiting patiently for 10 days to hear back, I ended up calling her for my results only to be told that the MRI presented areas of concern and that a CAT Scan was needed - glad I called. I went for the CAT scan the following day at Jefferson Radiology where the radiology tech explained to me that CAT scans of the head are STAT and the ordering PA would have the results of my scan the next day. The next day came and went, once again, no call back. I called the Wethersfield office and they confirmed that the results had in fact been received, but that I would have to wait for Debbie to call me and promptly put me through to her voicemail. I called several times, each time leaving her the same message to call me with the results, she never called. At this point, I decided to log onto my MyChart portal where I found the report of the CAT scan myself. Thankfully, my neighbor is a doctor and was able interpret the report and put my mind at ease, but said I should speak with the PA. She never called me to explain what the areas of concerns were all about or what the results did or did not show. She instead thought it was acceptable to have her office assistant call me two days later to tell me that everything was okay, but Debbie wants me to schedule a follow up appt. in 6 mos. It was a frustrating and upsetting experience. I won't be going back in 6 mo. or ever for that matter, and I certainly wouldn't ever recommend them to anyone. read more

Dr.Patel is treating my husband, and we absolutely love him. He has been so great to him. He had a medical emergency, Dr.Kuwada and Dr.Patel were in the hospital immediately doing his surgery. Dr.Patel called me as soon as he was finished to reassure me everything went well and they will continue to care for him. I appreciate them very much, easy to talk to and explains everything in detail. read more

I had my first appointment with Dr bonaiuto. I was 7 minutes late after being stuck at the light near his office. I was refused my visit. I would suggest if a doctor is that caught up in time it should be clearly posted on their site and people be WARNED!!!!! read more

I met Dr. O'Brien in late January 2012 after an absolutely horrific throat infection. You know its bad when an ENT says, "You can't surprise me, I've seen everything!", he proceeds to look in throat, "..........Wow". Ok, humor aside, I was absolutely miserable. I have had tonsil stones (don't Google it, you'll be very sorry) since I was about 13. I have seen 3 or 4 other ENT since then and each time was told to suck it up buttercup. This time, my tonsils were so big they were starting to block my airway and I had had enough. Dr O'Brien saw me as an emergency appointment and quickly assessed the situation. 1. get on appropriate antibiotics. Check. 2. shrink tonsils down to "normal" size. Check. 3. schedule tonsillectomy for ASAP. Check. Dr. O'Brien was the first ENT to truly listen and see how miserable my tonsils made me. At the same time, he very thoroughly and professionally explained the dangers of surgery, possible side effects, recovery time and the anticipated outcome. After we were both in agreement, we set the appointment. After this visit, but before my surgery, Dr. O'Brien called on his off-hours to check on me and see how I was feeling. What doctor does that anymore?!? I really appreciated his care and concern of me, even as a new patient. My surgery was Valentine's Day, and other than some issues getting an IV in me, went very smoothly. I was on pretty strong pain medication for two weeks. I'm not gonna lie, the recovery sucked tremendously. But, Dr. O'Brien was always there as a resource for questions and any concerns my husband or I had. It's now a month after surgery and I have nothing but praise for Dr. O'Brien and his staff. They have been wonderful this entire journey, and helped me make the best of what was a very painful, but necessary, procedure. I plan on seeing him in the future for all my ENT needs for my whole family. Thank you again Dr. O'Brien! read more

SUCKS I went to see ENT for help with Tinnitus and possible cochlear implant. They took me for hearing test first. They said that I'm qualified. I was confused and told them I can hear fine with hearing aids. The audiologist asked me why I wanted CI. I said well back in 1997 I've had tinnitus that bothers me and want.... she interrupted me and said No WHY you want CI. I said well to be able to hear some sounds like S, Ch, K, ST. She said OK you're qualified! I was like what?? Went for CAT scan and chose what brand I want. Went to see Dr again, I asked will that help with tinnitus. He shrugged his shoulder like he don't know. I was so confused and not sure what to do. I asked several CI recipient, a lot of them said they love it and it helped mask out tinnitus. One of my good friend has Meniere's said it saved her life. Well after I got implanted, I ended up with three tinnitus. NOW I ended up 5 Tinnitus (two are worst sounds EVER!). I called ENT to ask for something to help calm with my tinnitus. He said go see UCONN health center. I called UCONN health center and they asked for referral by him. I called ENT to ask for referral. GUESS WHAT.... HE SAID I CAN'T REFER HER TO TINNITUS SPECIALIST BECAUSE SHE HAS CI. THANKS A LOT I SHOULD NOT GET IMPLANTED. NOW I CAN'T HAVE ANY TASTE BACK, SENSE OF SMELL BACK AND WORST EVER TINNITUS AND I JUST WANT TO PUNCH MYSELF. I'M NOW SO DEPRESSED. They should have sent me to see psychologist to talk before getting implanted. Several CI recipients said that they had to go see psychologist first. They don't understand why. Now I know. They should have tested me more like 'have you had any concussion'? I figured out why I had vertigo and tinnitus. I had swimming pool accident in college, got hit on right side of my head near my ear. I just want my ear back. :( read more
