Okey dokey...let's try this! 8 Hearts is conveniently located in the Macadams area in the Water Tower complex. Easy breezy parking and a very nice location. It took a few weeks for my initial appointment but it was worth the wait. I arrived and briefly met Dr. Natasha and then Emily. I completed a in depth questionnaire about my health status and then Emily took me in to her relaxing, comfortable space. Emily took the time to get to know me, which I appreciated. We focused on the most pressing issues, my problematic shoulder specifically. My first acupuncture focused on my shoulder but the insertion of the needles was all over my body. I admit, I was fascinated about how the different pressure points correlated to different body parts. I had done my homework and knew that it would take several visits before I would really know if it was making a difference. Appointment one. I was surprised that the needles really didn't hurt. No biggie. Appointment two? Cupping. Yeah, Google "cupping". It friggin involves fire. Maybe an over reaction...really just a flame. Emily uses it to take the air out of the cup and then applies the cup to whatever body part you're having issues with. I'm not going to lie. It hurt like a mother and creates some dark bruises. But, with that being said, I LOVE IT! During the process, the cups draw up old blood and lymph. If it hurt too much, Emily would lessen the suction. I have been to Eight Hearts six times or so. I am now a believer and look forward to my appointments. I am on a three week schedule now and the time between appointments will continue to grow. I'm a fan. They, and especially Emily, rock.

After reviewing my latest labwork, she informed me the last antibiotic would not kill the bacteria within my body and gave me a new one that I had never heard of. After taking this new one the required amount of time, I am free of my long term plague,(UTI). It is truly a miracle and words cannot express how grateful I am to Natalie! A few trips to the ER and dealing with anxiety as well as an emergency surgery were the icing on the cake. I needed help to reset and get back on track to a healthy and mindful way of life. I was suffering from high stress, extreme fatigue & low energy, foggy brain, pain & stiffness, digestive issues, anxiety, weight gain, high cholesterol, high blood sugars, and the list goes on...My body was screaming at me to make changes and I finally heard the message as a cancer survivor, I had wasted too much valuable time and felt like I was running out of time. I had worked with Lila a number of years ago and knew that she was the one that would be able to help me regain my health & wellness, so together we set off to turn things around. Lila's approach is fact/data based coupled with her expertise and experience to create a customized approach for me. We did food sensitivity and micronutrient tests to understand more detail of my current situation. We then started the MRT/LEAP protocol which sounds like a lot but Lila breaks it down so it is easy to understand and follow (certainly helps that she is INCREDIBLY organized). I really enjoyed the process as it really made me aware and more in tune with how my body reacts to the things I eat. I have also really enjoyed eating a whole food diet as the flavors are so wonderful plus she sets you up with hacks and ideas to make this much more practical - even for us really busy people! Lila has also been a tremendous guide and resource when it comes to sourcing recipes, ingredients, and alternative or unfamiliar foods and has been instrumental in helping me to remove harmful ingredients & chemicals from my day to day. Lila has been such a great partner, coach, and teacher on this journey. She has helped me set reasonable goals, pushed me, and held me accountable, all of which I am incredibly grateful for. The results have been remarkable - We have been able to move my cholesterol, blood sugars, and inflammatory numbers SIGNIFICANTLY in 5 months, getting most of my numbers out of the danger zones. I have also dropped 20 lbs and still going. We have reduced my symptoms (based on symptom survey data) by 91%. I feel so much better as all of my symptoms have dramatically improved or gone away. Lila has helped me to relearn the importance of managing and minimizing stress where I can and has affirmed for me the ABSOLUTE power of food, nutrition, self-care, and exercise as medicine for the body, mind, and soul! I would recommend Lila without hesitation to anyone that wants to invest in their health and wellness and wants an active partner in that process!

I had trouble finding specialists, and was glad to finally see someone with experience treating my conditions. At first glance, online, Dr. Kleronomos looks legit (of course, there are still plenty of red flags if you look closely). But at the time, I didn't see the negative reviews and I went into the appointment with high hopes. After describing in detail how this illness shattered my life, how it's worse than 5 concussions combined, he decided -- in the middle of the appointment -- to take off his mask. He was seated feet away from me and seemed puzzled when I asked him to put it back on. This was during the summer wave of 2022. Cases were extremely high, and masks were still required in all healthcare settings. Unfortunately, this was only the second most traumatic thing he did during the appointment. All I feel comfortable sharing publicly about the rest of what happened is that I'm still in therapy over what he did to me. I filed a complaint with the medical board because people like him should at least have to answer to somebody. Of course, like most medical institutions, the response was inadequate. Not exactly change makers at the medical board. However, they did issue a letter of concern for his medical file. And they don't do that for every case. Dr. Klerenomos' response to this review will be predictably dismissive and defensive. He'll hide behind the medical board decision, and pretend it was vindication. But he and I know what happened that day. And he'll have to live with the guilt of knowing that his story may change but the truth never does. Please, if you are sick and out of options, go anywhere but here. I'm saying something publicly because if it means one person is spared the trauma of him, I will rest easier. You may think you're at rock bottom. But I wish someone had warned me that seeing Dr. Kleronomos would be the worst day of my life.
