I am a new resident to Conifer and needed to see a doctor, so I went to Conifer Medical Center on Friday, February 14th. I requested to be seen, and asked if they had an x-ray machine because I think I have pneumonia. At first, I was lead to believe that I would be able to be seen as a walk in appointment. Then, I also explained I did not have traditional insurance, so could the receptionist tell me the cash price for both the doctor's appointment and x-ray. The representative then went into the back to discuss this with someone and then returned and said they would not be able to see me. The excuse began with "since I'm not an established patient, it would be better if I was seen by another facility down the hill." I have the full ability to pay for my medical care, but have been failed in the past by traditional insurance, so being self insured is a much better option for me. I have mentioned this to a couple of locals since the incident and they have been surprised and disappointed to learn of the way I was treated. Shame on Conifer Medical Center, and no, I will never be an established patient there now. read more

Conifer Medical Center (CMC) provides excellent care for me. I usually see the same PA; she calls in an MD when necessary, but rarely requires it. It's easy to schedule appointments, including an emergency. Refills on an RX can happen behind the scenes when the pharmacy contacts CMC. read more

Office staff will lie to you & if you challenge them they say "don't raise your voice to me, but I record phone conversations & play their behavior for my doctor there & laugh. The referral department is horrible, referring me to 1.5 star doctors that reviews say AVOID so never take a referral from them. They do not give you the healthcare you deserve. If that isn't enough after calling 4 times to billing to get them to bill my secondary but they never did & sent me to collections, I even emailed doctors about this. -- AVOID CONIFER MEDICAL CENTER read more

Called to schedule an appointment. The staff member who answered the phone was extremely rude. Stated the providers are booking out 4 months in advance. The female staff looked up when I was last seen and then informed me, I won't be seen until January. I never asked for the appointment to be moved up or even questioned the providers booking out so far in advance, but this staff member was more than rude when she scheduled my appointment. She insinuated, I should have known the providers are booking out greater than 3 months and should have called sooner to get my appointment! Then this staff member stated the providers do 4 annual appointments a day. There was no need for this person to be so rude on the phone when I NEVER questioned anything! This is not the first time the front desk has been so rude to a patient! You might be the only service in Conifer, but it also does not mean I or other patients have to use you for medical care! read more

Loved the doctors and PA's I've seen over the last few years at the Evergreen and Conifer offices, UNTIL I had a major health issue a few days ago. The amount of incompetence, lack of concern, GASLIGHTING and inadequate training the medical staff have is SHOCKING!! I will be finding a new doctor after my most recent experience here. read more

I recently decided to move away from Conifer Medical Center. While Dr. Pinskinski is attentive and knowledgeable, her staff seemed unorganized and inadequately trained. There were several instances where simple requests were not followed through on nor were they communicated properly within the organization. It became the norm and not the acception. While I know it's difficult to get quality help, it's important that management invests in hiring and training employees who can provide a high level of customer service. I would recommend Dr. Pinsinski in a heartbeat, however, I really hope management takes steps to improve the quality of their support staff. read more

I have been a patient, often on, of conifer medical for almost 30 years. I have always appreciated and liked their medical care. However, their office procedures, particularly in Evergreen, are abysmal. Can't get an appointment set, can't get a return message, can't get a return phone call, it's a good thing I'm healthy I'd probably be dead before I ever ever heard from them. read more

That Dr. Sarche. I mean, wow. How lucky is our family to have stumbled on a good doctor who's so constant and consistent? He always makes my kids feel like the most important person in the room. He never makes any of us feel like just another customer. He takes the time during our visit to understand the details, and comes into our visits prepared. Listen, I have never had a bad experience with the front office staff like another reviewer has mentioned. But even if I had, it would mean NOTHING in light of the consistent excellence in treatment we receive from their attentive medical staff. People seem to prioritizing the wrong things. This is a DOCTOR's office, after all. And these doctors are terrific. read more

Receptionist makes you feel bad and then feel like an idiot just for trying to make a new appointment. Would go literally anywhere else.

I am 69 years old and have been to many medical practices over the years, and this is by far the worst medical practice I have ever seen. Unfortunately there are not a lot of choices in the Conifer area, but definitely drive somewhere else. After six frustrating years at this practice, I can clearly state that the medical care is horrible, bordering on completely incompetent and the office policies and personnel are equally terrible. Most of the time when you see a doctor or more likely a PA, that person will not be there the next time because they quit. Constant turnover of medical personnel is just one example of poor management. You rarely see actual doctors -- mostly inexperienced PAs. There are many one star reviews for a reason -- go elsewhere!!! If you do get sick, getting an appointment usually takes several days, which does no good and you end up going somewhere else. And if you do get an appointment, they usually want you to take a covid test in the parking lot, wait an hour for the results, and then might let you in. The final straw for me was when the doctor, who seemed okay, prescribed 4 doses of medicine per day for 7 days, and then 2 doses per day for 14 days. He gave me a sample of the medicine which was nice, but when I got home I noticed that the sample only had 28 doses. I think even a 6 year old can do the math -- 28 is not enough. When I called up to get additional medicine either with an additional sample or prescribed at a pharmacy, and they called back several days later, the response was I needed to come in again with a new appointment to see a doctor, which would take several days to arrange, and would actually be after the medicine ran out. They were rude, obnoxious and refused to acknowledge the simple mistake. But this is just one example of complete incompetence at so many levels, from scheduling, to billing, to most importantly the actual medical care. I will be finding a different medical practice and I encourage you to do the same!!! read more

Merciless. I live in Conifer, and I am a patient in the Evergreen office. My friend was visiting me and got very sick and I took him to the clinic to see the doctor. We arrived Saturday morning at 8 am, and there were no other patients there. The doctor refused to see my friend and we had to drive 45 minutes to Denver Health instead. I honestly cannot understand this? The reason given was that he wasn't a patient there. What does that mean? That the doctor is concerned about billing? I would have paid cash. Perhaps because my friend is an immigrant? Maybe because "He isn't one of our patients" is a convenient excuse for disinterest in practicing? I really hope the doctor responds to this with something that makes sense. read more

Drs Sarche and Weber, their colleagues and staff are as good as medical professionals as we've had in our ancient lives. We became patients here in 2010. They're efficient, direct communicators and skilled. Every time they've referred us to specialists, they've been terrific, too. We wouldn't consult anyone else other than CMC, and we feel very fortunate to have them caring for us ten minutes from our home in the mountains. Highly recommended read more

Was miss guided and ill informed on simply trying to get an MRI scheduled. What should have taken a few days has taken weeks, and still ongoing. All the while I've been unable to move effectively, all the while waiting to hear something about the MRI. Dr. Matthews refused to correspond with my insurance even after meeting with me, taking and analyzing x-rays, ordering an MRI, and putting me on two different medications. Have to leave a single star review because after having been a patient for 20 + years I'm now considered a 'new' patient since I've not been sick for three years and they are not taking new patients. Customer service isn't that great. I really like the Dr's. and the medical staff, however, they need a lot of work on their front office skills. When you call your Doctors office and are told "we don't allow patients to speak to Dr's" then there is something wrong with that picture. I would drive down the hill if I didn't think so much of Dr. Sarche, Dr. Matthews and PA Anne Brown. I think they could stand to use some compitition up here so that the service at the front and on the phones could improve. read more

When there for quite a few years saw a doctor a handful of times. Mostly just physicians assistant or nurse practitioners I'm not good with title other than doctors. They missed the fact that I had been diagnosed with gerd or some sort of gastric disorder prior to their services I now have stage IV throat cancer a battle that can't be beat they were able to tell me that one oh and that was a doctor. A while later weeks. I am not bitter however I do believe this practice cuts staffing corners and pockets that savings by using physicians assistance and nurse practitioners be very aware as I will not make 65 and that can happen I guess. read more

Went here for a biometric screening & will NEVER go back. The account manager refused to bill as a preventative so now I have $139 bill. I have talked to her on the phone and in person...in addition to the insurance company talking to her & the diagnostic company sending a letter asking for the billing code to be changed. This is 100% covered under my insurance plan, but since she won't cooperate with the insurance company I am now responsible for it all. Do NOT go here!!! They will not work with you or your insurance if they do not make a mint $$$ off your visit. read more

Been going here for years and have found it to be a good experience. Dr. Matthews has been exceptional and the med techs friendly and helpful (even when I am difficult about needles). Wait times and administration have always been very good. Most the complaints seem to be about having to actually pay for services because insurance wont cover it... I've been going to conifer med since 1995 and have had only a so so experience. The only reason I gave it two stars is because they are conveniently located to me (14 miles) and their hours are incredible. If this was not the case, I would definitely be going elsewhere. Therefore, conifer medical is great for minor emergencies, prescriptions (which I try to avoid, but the doctors I've seen there push prescriptions way too much) and taking blood. Maybe if I finally get a decent enough doctor, I will give it more stars. I do not like taking any prescriptions that have even 1 side effect much less the many that seem acceptable in today's society and I have yet to find a doctor that will work with natural and life style changes for the common stuff that happens when you grow older. read more

Not an honest practice. I went here for my annual physical for the past two years in a row. The first year was fine; free physical covered by my insurance. The second year, I had the exact same physical as the prior year, but this time they included an extra bill for an office visit. When I called and asked why I had been billed when the visit was supposed to be free- they said it was because the doctor gave me medical advise during the physical, so it was an office visit. I disputed this saying that that makes no sense- I can't control what the doctor talks to me about during the visit and that no one ever disclosed to me that if the conversation continued I would be billed $45. They refused to remove the bill. I wrote a letter to the doctors via their online portal. They called me a few days later saying that doctor was out for a few weeks and they couldn't remove the $45 charge. Long story short- this place is money hungry and has no problem falsely billing patients for things. Be careful of this when you go there and make sure you have a clear understanding of what you're being seen for because they will bill you for things that you didn't request and blindside you with medical costs that you didn't approve. Highly recommend going elsewhere. This is a money hungry practice who will falsely bill your insurance AND you. This should be reported to the BBB and I am currently opening a case with them for false insurance billing. They may not be around for much longer because this is not the first time this has happened. read more

I was seen recently in the Evergreen office, which from what I understand is part of the same practice, which is why I'm leaving my review here. I saw a PA in the Evergreen office for my first general checkup in 5 years (I had gone in a few months prior for a limited exam for an ear problem and was told to come back for a general checkup and routine blood work, since I hadn't been in for so long). I had seen the same PA previously, but she was very obviously distracted this time during the entire appointment. I told her about a possible concern and she misheard me, mentioned that some people need xyz treatment for that, and then didn't mention it again for the rest of the visit. My leg didn't move when she checked my reflexes because she didn't tap my knee in the right spot, but she didn't correct her technique or even notice, just moved on. She spent most of the appointment talking in a bored tone about the weather and what she had for lunch, even when she was presumably supposed to be listening to my organs. It was a very lackadaisical exam. The entire appointment lasted less than 10 minutes. They didn't take a urine sample or blood work or anything. It felt like a complete waste of time, to be honest. I understand that sometimes medical professionals have off days, but a true professional should still make sure to do a thorough job examining each patient even during off days. Maybe I should have been more vocal and insistent upon a more thorough exam, but I didn't feel it would make a difference or that I would be heard. The front desk staff were also unfriendly and didn't greet me when I came in. Very discouraged. Wish I had gone elsewhere. read more

The receptionist is the rudest person I have ever met,, once told me she would send me a nasty gram if I didn't pay the entire balance in full, lol 25.00, sherry is her back up and mary, the front desk people need replaced, so if the dr. lose business it is because of them,, they lost my blood tests one year,, had to retake and then they charged me again and it took 7 months to get it right,, always advertising for the high schools to come get check ups for a cheap amount and it ends up being in the 100's,, if your dr cant see you they give you another and then that dr. takes your records and changes everything,, I once said I was tired, I was sent emails and letters for depression,,, Conifer medical center is a joke,, read more

I went to Dr. Jamie Kenney after arterial replacement surgery and she caught an anomaly that none of the other doctors or specialist found. She immediately sent me to National Jewish where they performed several tests and confirmed what Jamie had seen and started me on treatment that may have saved my right lung diaphragm. Jamie is very thorough and has no qualms about discussing issues (any issues) with you. She makes you feel completely at ease and is very direct with her answers. Basically she tells you straight up if there are any concerns or not. I trust her more than any other doctor I have seen... My experience with Jamie is that she is very thorough and knowledgeable and if she says you are OK, YOU ARE OK!!! All-In-ALL, I highly recommend Conifer Medical Center and their staff!!! read more

I drive up from Denver to Conifer Medical Center and Dr. Sarche for the personalized professional service I receive. The receptionists they have now are considerate and timely with check-ins. The Doctor assistants are friendly and professional. Dr. Sarche is amazing with the research he keeps up-to-date on and the thoroughness of his reviews and treatments. He always encourages my questions and responds with his best judgement for possible treatments and potential side-effects. He asks questions about my life and takes all that into account for taking care of my health. He is outstanding! read more

I have been with the office since I was a child, but after several address changes as an adult and insurance policy changes, my personal contact information was not current and updated in their billing system. Consequently, a medical bill was continually sent to the wrong address and then to collections. After discovering the mistake I was forced to pay the collections agency in monthly payments, but Conifer Medical Center has refused to continue to see me until collections bill is paid in full. While I can somewhat understand their reasoning, I don't agree with the decision to refuse medical care and am not sure it is legal, especially because the outstanding balance is under $500. I am a single parent, fully employed with the same company for 15 years, and have medical coverage. I do not recommend the medical center based on the office staff. They do not put patients first and are driven by amount of clients and money. They are not very friendly and treat you like a criminal. read more

I would give this place 0 stars if I could. This place is absolutely horrible. We didn't even get to see a doctor. In my third trimester I called Conifer Medical Center because their website says they have pediatricians and I wanted the whole family to attend the same practice. I spoke with the receptionist who was very kind (then) and answered all of my questions. She told me to call after my baby was born and before I left the hospital to schedule an appointment. She even gave me the name of the doctor that we would see. I did just as the receptionist told me. I called back from the hospital and the same receptionist answered the phone. She was the rudest person. She actually made me cry when I hung up the phone. The hospital required to have our baby's oxygen tested on the way home because of the elevation. The Conifer Medical Center receptionist was very rude and told me they do not offer pediatrics. I was too tired to argue or explain our previous conversation to her. So, I decided to find out if they could at least perform the oxygen test on the way home. I just had my first baby and had been up all night and could not recall what the oxygen test was called (the receptionist knew this), and the receptionist cut me off and told me that she didn't have time for me and she was very busy. I could have maybe excused her rude comments if it weren't for her tone. She also informed me that they could not perform the oxygen test unless we were going to be clients... which is what I was trying to do. My husband tried to call as well because I thought maybe I had made a mistake. She was equally as rude to him. As a result, nobody from my family will go here. read more

She really takes the time to listen to you about your symptoms and situation, and takes as much time as needed to understand what's going on with you. Pathetic and incompetent. This place should be called a health hazard rather than health care. I need to start a drug therapy for a pulmonary condition two and a half months before they finally called to tell me they couldn't do it. My doctor there said they could but the admin staff couldn't figure it out. They had me going back and forth with other doctors for weeks, then lost the paper work, then didn't have any notes in my chart about it. then when thing supposedly got filed with insurance, they said they weren't set up to do it. I ended up getting sick again which could have been prevented if not for the delay in getting the treatment started. read more

I've been going to the Conifer Medical Center for over 15 years. I live in the area, so it's very convenient and accessible. I've had the same Dr (GP) and she is excellent. She cares about patients and goes the extra mile to address concerns. Also, I find I can talk to her about anything without judgment. She's knowledgeable about nutrition and current medical topics. She communicates very well and asks pertinent questions. Wait times are minimal, and the receptionists are mostly friendly. I continue to go there for the quality medical service. read more

Conifer Medical Center is a complete embarrassment to the healthcare profession; it makes me wonder how they stay in business at all with the extremely poor customer service provided at their clinic. My husband and I were up in the mountains near Jefferson, he had an injury to his hand and when we presented to Conifer Medical Center on Saturday mid-day (they were open); two receptionists were sitting up front, no other cars were in the parking lot. We walked in and my husband told the one receptionist that he was injured, but not life or limb threatening but he was in extreme pain with a badly dislocated thumb. She asked his name and date of birth and began typing away at her keyboard, meanwhile the other girl just stared at us and as I was getting out our insurance cards she asked if we were patients there; we said no we are not, they both then told us he could not be seen there and told us to take a piece of paper near their front door identifying "Urgent Care" facilities in the area - (Closest one was in Littleton on W. Bowles Ave) others listed included one in Lakewood at the wrong address. When I looked at the Conifer Medical Center website it identifies injury care and specifically states "Conifer Medical Center is equipped to take care of most of your urgent care needs, with x-ray on site." It also lists several specific injuries they will treat at their clinic including: Fracture care and follow-ups Sprain and strain injuries Minor head injuries Eye injuries Burns Lacerations The website does not identify that new patients are not accepted, it does not identify that walk in appointments are not available. When we tried to call ahead to them en route to the clinic from Jefferson their outgoing voicemail simply repeated if it was life or limb threatening to call 911. Nobody answered the phone. I am so disappointed in this place especially since it is the only clinic along the 285 corridor from Fairplay to Littleton. They are a disservice to the community. read more
