He responded that it was too controversial and he would not be involved in that. I was shocked as a follower of Christ I believed that the church should shine the light and come against the evil. What could improve is the pastor to ask God to forgive him of letting the unborn down and not being a warrior for God.

Having done some work in the background of such services as described above - the problem is due to the person the service is about is not known to the congregation. Father Tim is quite often called on to conduct a service for someone unknown to him and must rely on information provided by a family member. He can only impart what information is given to him. Rather than defend what is said above let me give you my own testimony. My wife and I attended a funeral of a dear friend at St. Matthew's. The service was attended by a large number of people including many St. Matthew's members but also many non-members who knew the deceased. We were treated to the warmest group of people and a service that was truly open communion to all baptized Christians. The homily was truly touching and Fr. Tim Vellom was so welcoming that we decided we needed to visit on a Sunday. We did and have been every Sunday since unless out of town. I can only hope that you would consider St. Matthew's at least for a visit and decide for yourself.

So, this review is on their behalf. Traffic and parking are well directed and managed, and they have many masses to choose from for you to attend. Their church bulletin in and of itself is a novel (according to Mom), and everyone is very polite, respectful, and serene. The church itself is beautiful, and everyone we've heard speak felt genuine.
