I met Gloria Bacon at my apartment complex where she was teaching sign language, she invited me to come. I checked it out online first as I have at that point not able to find my church home. I loved Aaron and thought he was amazing. Decided to go, and immediatly felt at home. Everyone was so loving and helpful. When I started we were still at the Clearwater High School. Long story short! I was supose to be Baptised Feb 5, 2023 my boyfriend was super excited to check out the church and very supportive about my decision to go public with my faith. Sadly he had a heart attack and passed away feb 2, 2023 cpl weeks before we got officially engaged we were going to be marriade in March. I sent Pastor Jose a msg with my decision to not be baptised and why. I was angry with God broken as I finally at almost 63 found the love of my life. To my surprise Pastor Jose responded almost immediatly and told me if I needed anything to please let him know. Being a person who just went and then went right home not socializing with anyone, hearing that from the pastor gave me hope. Pastor Jose, Nicole and the dream team are the reason I decided to stay. Now, fast forward June 2025 I am a leader in legends, working on being in 4fifty6 and youth. I have lots of friends, some the best of my life. I have found my church home and even though my life is still choas do to other things I am at peace and leaning into God with my season of waiting and I have more hope than ever before. It is amazing to see a multi-ethnic, multi-generational church "loving out loud" (putting into practice what they believe. I would STRONGLY recommend a visit. Diverse group of people which is important to me. The church supports a large food pantry across the street which is opened in Saturday mornings. Also very important. The nine year old fellowship has many faithful members who have been there from the beginning through moves, pandemics, and life events. So it was not a typical Shabbat because they were celebrating Israel's 75th anniversary of becoming a legitimate country. The day was filled with worship to some excellent music, singing and dancing. Rabbi showed videos of Israel and spoke about it's history from thousands of years ago and the history from 1948, it's development geographically and politically. We shared a meal, birthday cake and group picture. It was a wonderful day full of love and acceptance for everyone; in fact the love was nearly palpable. I loved the music and didn't leave until the end of it. No one will feel estranged or unwelcome with this all inclusive congregation. Thank you all for a genuine blessed day.

Spiritual leader Hazzan Jodi Sered-Lever is a Jewish family's dream. When my father died unexpectedly in April, she spent hours with me and my family to meet with us, prepare the most beautiful service, and officiate over a funeral that was worthy of his blessed memory. Everyone who attended said that it was the most wonderful funeral service they had ever been to. My son attended the wonderful religious school at Mekor Shalom and recently worked with Hazzan to prepare for his Bar Mitzvah. She is the most patient and wonderful Bar/Bat Mitzvah guide, both for us as parents and for my son. She knew exactly what we/he needed, was amazingly patient, but applied just the right amount of "kind" motivation when necessary - she works with kids where they are in terms of their level of Hebrew ability, without the pressure you find in most congregations. Not only is she a magnificent cantor and spiritual leader of the synagogue, but she has become an integral part of our family. Check out Mekor Shalom, you won't be disappointed.

This has been a wonderful and magical experience and we couldn't be happier and want to recommend it. They have RV and Tent Camping, a dock, boat ramp and great fishing and kayaking on Lake Platt, wonderful amenities including a pool, playground, picnic pavilions, volleyball, laundry facilities and WIFI and accommodations for larger scout groups, church groups and camps. We have been able to very comfortably work remotely here and have thoroughly enjoyed the safety and beauty of this beautiful conference center on Lake Magdalen Boulevard between the Boardwalk and Avila.

If they would just talk to people respectfully and market this place they would always be full. Location is fantastic and grounds are clean. They have washers and dryers that work well. Respect goes along way and being around nature is great, but disrespectful people take away from every positive I mentioned. Regular employees are friendly. This review was fair and accurate.
