The walls seem to be painted by local artists, with many panels having some kind of Coney Island theme. Not all of them do. The panels are very creative and you can spend awhile looking at these Currently there's more than 30 panels. The panels are attached to fencing so it's not really like a wall. I understand that on busy days restaurants want to turn tables quickly--I've worked in the industry, so I get it. But if you don't give your guests a chance to enjoy their experience, they're less likely to come back or tip well. On the positive side, the food was amazing. I ordered the Chicken and Shrimp Carbonara pasta ($25.29) and it was absolutely delicious. One other thing I didn't appreciate was that the waitress upgraded the tequila in my margarita without asking me first and added an extra $2.50 to the bill. I'm going to have a slice at La Casa Bella. Walking in at noon, I have the place to myself. Nothing fancy at La Casa Bella, the restaurant looks like a typical New York pizza joint. There are people coming in to pick up whole pies. First time here I'm going in with their famous Vodka slice & Grandma Sicilian slice. The people behind the counter are nice, we all start chatting about the neighborhood (I won't tell them I live in Stony Brook) I grab a soda and take the table by the window.
