When they arrived II was told it would be better to pick them up rather than shipping them directly to me. I was directed to make an appointment. When I arrived I waited.in the que to be checked in. Once I arrived at the check in window I was informed I just needed to go knock on the door of the optical store. Hmmm. An impolite individual responded to my knocks. When I explained to her I was there for an appointment. She disappeared back into the shop and returned moments later with a small paper bag with my lenses in it. There was no opportunity to evaluate the lenses. The appointment was unnecessary. Once at my car I discovered the wrong lenses were ordered. These lenses use a plunger to insert them into the I had requested tinted lenses because clear lenses are near impossible to see when roving them from the cleaning solution. I returned to the optical shop to have the correct lenses ordered. The same individual responded to my knock and once I requested the tinted lenses she informed they didn't come tinted. Despite her insistence I explained the lenses I was currently wearing were tinted. To summarize I was instructed to make an appoinent that 1. was completely unnecessary, 2. wasted an hour of time, 3. Wasted gas since I drove 20 miles 4. to be disrespected and lied to. I did find out that they could have been drop shipped. If I wanted Ms. Congeneality to send them it would cost $12 Most of the folks in that department are great. However they need to re-engineer their process for pick up. And offer some civility training to their person in the optical shop.

I was born with cataracts and spent most of my life with glaucoma. Every doctor who has come and gone has been very compassionate towards patients and the job. They have bent over backwards to make sure they could do what they can to help my vision. I had been going here since I was born because this is where they rushed me to when they saw something wrong with my eyes. Unfortunately some of the best glaucoma specialists have retired. I can't speak for the "young" ones who are likely used to older people with cataracts or glaucoma. It's a rare case to have a patient with congenital cataracts or glaucoma so I feel thankful every day that I've had the chance to be treated by such caring and intelligent people.

Had an appointment with this office this past week. When doctor finally came in the room he began the exam touching my eye area without washing his hands. At a pause I asked him to please wash his hands before continuing. He seemed offended by this and proceeded to simply use hand sanitizer (there was a sink in the exam room) rubbing his hands very close to my face so he said I could see...made other comments regarding not touching me and while he answered my questions, he was terse and I felt he treated me like I was wasting his time.

The day of the appointment we entered and the eye glass staff members were having very loud personal conversations for all to hear. This created an unprofessional environment and a poor first impression of the facility. As we went back the eye staff member was not friendly, didn't smile once, was not friendly/warm towards my child, did not seem happy to be there, and seemed annoyed anytime I asked questions about tests that they wanted to run. We were then led to a patient room where we waited for awhile. As we were waiting to be seen, I could overhear more personal conversations being had by the medical eye staff. Finally the doctor enters the room and I asked if she had a chance to review my child's eye history beforehand. She stated no and looked at my child's chart and said that they've never received them. I said I was told you had them. She stated who told you that? I told her the front desk staff, she stated that they in fact did not have them. A professional company would've followed up with myself and/or the other doctor if they had not received them prior to the appt for a new patient. During the appt, a front desk staff knocked on the door and entered the room; we were basically pushed out. I have never been at a medical appointment where a front desk staff entered a patient room while being seen by a doctor/medical staff. As we were checking out they attempted to charge me over $200. Luckily, I have prior knowledge and questioned this. The front desk attendant was unable to answer my questions about the charges. Another staff member had to step in. They stated the doctor billed/coded it wrong. Not my issue! Then my bill magically went to zero. Save yourself the time, money, and headache. Staff is unprofessional and will try to overcharge and do not have adequate knowledge on eye billing. Only positive were the two friendly check in ladies.

At that moment, an elderly woman at the registration desk told him to leave the premises; they rescheduled the appointment but said that next time, he would have to be heavily sedated. When we got home, they called to say they would no longer treat him at that facility.

I am so happy that I did! The doctor was great- gave me suggestions for my issues. And the opticians have been wonderful! Kudos to Sarah at the Palmyra office! She is the best at choosing the right frame. I would try numerous frames to the point that my nose would be sore. I finally said "help!" She looked at me & the prescription, asked if I liked metal or plastic, then she chose the perfect frames for me. She took the measurements too to make sure that they fit correctly. As much as I hate wearing glasses, she made the experience so easy. I did see the doctor at the Harrisburg office because they have more openings. I picked up my new glasses at the Palmyra office.

During the past 2 years I have called first thing in the morning to make an appointment when i wasn't feeling well and have been told on every occasion that there are no appointments available that day. Today is a snowy day and people must have cancelled but nope, nothing available today! I don't remember this ever happening in all of my time as a patient, but it's happened every time over the past 2 years. I guess in the future I will have to plan my getting sick ahead of time so I can make an appointment ahead of time if i want to get seen in a timely manner!
