If I could give more than five stars, I absolutely would…read more Our family has had an exceptional experience at this orthodontic office over the past several months. Both of my sons are patients here -- my 16-year-old and my 9-year-old -- and the level of care, professionalism, and kindness we have received is truly unmatched. My older son recently had a surgically-assisted palatal expander placed, something completely new to us, and the entire team guided us through every step with such expertise and compassion. My younger son also has an expander, and although it was challenging for him at first, the gentle support and encouragement from the staff helped him adjust quickly. The results so far have been amazing. But what truly sets this office apart is the people. Teri -- the heart of the office. Teri's at the front desk and she's truly extraordinary. She goes above and beyond every single time, managing the schedule with such grace, care, and genuine kindness. Yesterday was an especially chaotic day for us with multiple appointments -- orthodontist, dentist, then orthodontist again -- and Teri somehow made everything seamless. She rearranged the schedule so my son didn't have to miss unnecessary class time, and she treated us with the kind of warmth and attention you would expect from family. I cannot express how grateful we are for her dedication. Dr. Hoffman -- exceptional expertise. He is not only incredibly knowledgeable but also patient, thorough, and reassuring. We always feel confident that our boys are in the very best hands. Kristi -- kind, gentle, and wonderful with kids. She is always so sweet and caring during the adjustments. My boys feel comfortable and relaxed with her, which says everything. Beyond the staff, the office itself is beautiful -- spotless, welcoming, and currently decorated so charmingly for the holidays that it immediately puts you in a good mood. We are truly grateful for the outstanding care, the warmth, and the family-like atmosphere. Thank you, Teri, Dr. Hoffman, Kristi, and the entire team for everything you do. Highly, highly recommend!

State of art facilities, caring staff, and great professionalism!…read more I recently started my orthodontics treatment with Dr. Hoffman's team. He was referred by my dentist. Overall, I had a good experience so far and would recommend this practice to anyone! Located in Newbury Park, Dr. Hoffman's office is located within a cluster of office buildings. Parking is ample from right outside his office. The dental office was clean and very well kept. One section of the office was for imaging, and the other was lined with multiple dental chairs facing the windows. When I came in for my first fitting, the dental technician used high-tech 3D imaging equipment to create a profile of my teeth and jaw. The imaging process was very fast and very comfortable. As for the cost, I was given multiple options for my teeth alignment with traditional metal braces, braces with clear posts, and Invisalign. The cost of the traditional metal braces was the lowest, and the costs were the same between braces with clear posts and Invisalign. I was initially drawn to Invisalign due to its aesthetics and potentially shorter treatment period, but Dr. Hoffman steered me to the braces version as he said the treatment performance from braces would be better and potentially shorter than Invisalign. In the end, I chose the braces with the clear post. I was quoted $6,200 (before insurance), and it included retainers and life time follow up annual visits. The dental office offered a monthly payment plan, or a 10% discount if you paid the entire remaining balance up front. With insurance payment, my remaining balance was $4,700, which I settled for $4,230 with a 10% upfront discount. I initially felt my quote was expensive, especially after comparing prices with some of my coworkers. However, I was impressed with the knowledge of Dr. Hoffman and his staff, and I wanted my treatment to be pleasant and of high quality, I opted to move forward with the treatment. After my first appointment, I was given a big goody bag with an electronic toothbrush, dental waxes, and some other dental supplies. I am one month into my treatment, and so far, all the staff have been extremely caring and friendly. Wearing braces and going in every 2-3 weeks for realignment are uncomfortable and time-consuming, but Dr. Hoffman's team tried to make the experience as pleasant as possible. Highly recommend!

I went to Newbury Smiles about three months ago for a routine cleaning. At that visit, I was told I…read morehad "deep pockets" in my gums, but no one mentioned cavities, an urgent treatment plan, or any significant issues. I was also never shown any X-rays, and I did not meet with the dentist -- only the hygienist. I returned in November for another cleaning, and immediately after the appointment I was suddenly told that I had three cavities between my teeth on both sides of my mouth and that treatment was "imperative." I was completely blindsided. When I said this was the first time anyone had mentioned cavities, the dentist insisted that I had been told months earlier -- which is simply not true. I clearly remember that conversation, and none of this was discussed. I wasn't shown X-rays at that time because they hadn't even been reviewed yet. The dentist only looked at my August X-rays in November and then accused me of "neglect." His exact words were: "Neglect adds up, and it comes in the form of tooth decay. You've done a good job, but now you have a lot of damage to repair." That comment alone was unprofessional, dismissive, and deeply unsettling. Then they slid a $2,500 treatment plan across the table as if this had all been previously agreed upon. I felt pressured, blindsided, and very uncomfortable with how the entire situation was handled. Something didn't sit right with me, so I went to a highly rated dentist in Westlake for a second opinion -- a practice with consistent five-star reviews. They were incredibly welcoming and thorough. They were shocked by how few X-rays Newbury Smiles had taken and reviewed. After examining me and reviewing new films, they told me: * My gums are healthy * My teeth are in great shape * I do not have cavities * I do not need fillings * I do not need any of the treatment Newbury Smiles recommended The contrast was night and day. In my honest opinion: Newbury Smiles is not operating in the best interest of patients. I left feeling pressured, misled, and spoken to disrespectfully. The dentist is a snake oil salesman and a hustler, and it seems like his staff isn't been an enamored with him either. I'm grateful I trusted my instincts and sought a second opinion. I urge anyone considering this practice to be cautious and to verify recommendations elsewhere.

Once again, thank you Dr. Saadat and your wonderful staff for the excellent treatment last week…read more Every time I come in, I'm treated with kindness, professionalism, and genuine care. It's rare to find a dental office that makes you feel this comfortable and well taken care of."
