I've been coming to Concord Pavilion for years. My high school graduation was here long ago! It's a smaller venue, which I actually really like. It feels more personal, and you're never too far from the stage. One major plus: there's usually free parking, which makes things way less stressful. Security is pretty chill and easy to get through, and the shows always feel well-organized. Recently, I've seen Limp Bizkit, Doobie Brothers, and Wiz Khalifa here--all very different vibes, but each show was a blast. At the end of the night, you'll definitely spot those classic bacon-wrapped hot dog vendors (aka dirty dogs) right outside.

Most of the ticket price went to this beautiful view.

We saw Sarah McLachlan, and she was AMAZING as ALWAYS - 10 Stars! Concord Pavilion could use some improvements. First, only ONE line with thousands of people to get in while standing in the heat? Second, a couple from the handicapped parking lot asked for a wheelchair. A staff member said, "We're too busy." Have they heard of ADA? Third, I bought seats close up but wished I stayed on the lawn. I can't sit long due to managing chronic pain. When I asked a staff member if I could stand in the back, where he was standing, he said, "You can stand by the concession stands." I had to walk all the way out of the concert to listen to the concert. At that point, I wanted to leave. Lastly, please repair the damaged pathways before someone trips on the uneven pavement. All in All, it was NOT worth the money I paid for close seats and premium parking. The extra star is for the sunset views while I stood by the concession stands after paying so much. Thank you, Sarah, for being lovely, but maybe don't entertain at the Concord Pavilion.

The location is rural and parking needs direction. They had us go in the line to park only to find out It was only for Premier access which is prepaid parking. They have free parking, which is not too bad of a walk. Check in was easy as you walk through metal detectors, and check your purse. They have food trucks as you walk in, past that there's an eatery with your normal concession foods and drinks. Expect each item to be at least about $20 including a beer. Lines in the bathroom get pretty long. I recommend going to the one on the right because it's three rows of stalls instead of two on the left side. Sit towards the middle of the stadium to get the best view of the stage. We sat at 2:04 and we had great seats. It's under the pergola too. We seen Nelly, Eve, Chingy, and Ja rule. It was such an amazing show. I will say sound system could be a little better. Keep in mind, leaving is a nightmare. The wait about 30 minutes before we actually left the venue and we were in standstill traffic.

Enjoyed my experience here. It is a hike from the parking lot to your seats and I do believe you can bring your own water and snacks . Wide we'd known this before. The food on the inside is just ok. I'd recommend eating before and taking Lyft ringer there.

I was invited to watch the Nelly concert here last week and I really liked the venue. There's plenty of shade and cover which was a lifesaver since it was so hot that day. They had a couple of food trucks with really good options and their own concession stand had a refillable popcorn which was such a fun touch. The concert itself was great. I only knew two of Nelly's songs. One of them I actually know because of TikTok but he performed my favorite one before closing so I ended up staying for the whole show (haha). Overall, it was a fun night and I really enjoyed the experience.

So we were delighted (and surprised) to see an advertisement for a play in Clayton put on by a local theater company - the Clayton Theater Company. Community theater in Clayton? We had to check this out! With a super convenient location, we chose a weeknight evening showing. A short drive to the theater, free diagonal parking literally across the street from Endeavor Hall in Clayton, reasonable ticket prices - this definitely was not a San Francisco or Berkeley theater experience! We were fans before the show even started. This was true community theater. Much work was done by volunteers, people giving their time to foster arts in their community. Talking to some people involved in the production, rehearsals went on for a couple months beforehand, actors and musicians rehearsing hours into the night after working a full day. The play was "Radio Hour", a dramatization of a 1940s radio variety hour production. The play was wonderful, and featured a marvelous blend of drama, singing, dancing and music. The live music really made the show. As a bonus we took away insights and an appreciation for the behind-the-scenes work of early radio productions. Endeavor Hall has constraints as to stage size and we admired the creativity behind the stage setting and production to optimize what they had. Unbeknownst to us, the Clayton Theater Company has been putting on productions since at least 2013, typically at least a couple a year. Past productions have included Arsenic and Old Lace, Urinetown, Rumors, and You're a Good Man Charlie Brown. They won several 2017 Shellie Awards. Community theater fans in the area owe it to themselves to check out the Clayton Theater Company.

The line of cars went on forever. We finally got into the parking lot and got a spot. We got there 40 minutes before the concert started and it was that busy. We had paid for easy entry. When we got to the front of the line and asked where the easy entry line was, nobody knew LOL. Mind you it's 94 degrees outside and the line to get into the concert was getting extremely long. I went to the ticket booth and asked where the easy entry access was. They directed us to the VIP entry which was on the other side of the parking lot. We walked over there and sure enough, we were at the right place and walked right in, after showing our easy entry passes. They do require clear bags and some small wallet size purses of a specific dimension. Luckily we checked online the day before. That gave me time to buy a clear plastic purse from Target. The purse worked out perfectly. It was big enough to carry the essentials and small enough to wear crossbody. Our seats were amazing. We were in a the lower level of section 104 in the second row, and in the shade. It was so hot that day. I was so happy that we're in the shade. As the sun went down, the temperature dropped. But it was still a bit warm, even when we left. Sarah McLachlan was amazing. She sounded great and sang many of her older songs, that we all know, as well as some new ones from her latest album. She put on a fantastic show. She is so talented and has a beautiful voice. I think the next time we want to see a concert here, I will try to find something in the spring or fall. The summer heat was brutal, but we still enjoyed ourselves. We also brought neck fans with us, that I purchased on Amazon, and that helped some. I noticed other people had them too.

Toyota Pavilion At Concord…read more I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Toyota Pavilion on July 31, 2026 for the Lil Wayne concert. I purchased two concert tickets and a Premier Parking Pass specifically to ensure smooth access to the event. I arrived well in advance of the show only to be told by venue staff that the Premier Parking lot was completely full and could not accommodate pass holders. General parking was also full. As a result I was unable to park my vehicle and could not attend the concert at all. The venue oversold Premier Parking passes without having the capacity to honor them. This is unacceptable and frankly deceptive. I paid for a service that was never delivered and as a direct consequence lost the value of both my parking pass and my concert tickets through absolutely no fault of my own. When I contacted Ticketmaster for a refund I was repeatedly denied and deflected despite this being a clear case of non-performance. The parking refund was eventually processed which is an acknowledgment that something went wrong -- yet the ticket refund was denied. I also called and emailed the box office and they denied the refund as well. I am now pursuing a complaint with the California Attorney General and considering small claims court. Toyota Pavilion needs to take responsibility for overselling parking and failing to deliver services paid for by customers. I would strongly caution anyone attending future events here to reconsider purchasing Premier Parking as there is no guarantee it will be honored.
