I'm confused as to why this place has 2.1 stars. I came in for preemployment care. Easy as 1-2-3! Caring staff, wholesome energy, and all the snacks! Concentra Southhill is the best one in Spokane. The energy is unmatched. Of course, like any other clinics, at times you have to wait for hours, but the good outweighs the bad. I have been here multiple times and I have not had a bad experience here. As customers, we need to start asking ourselves how the event we are bringing to a place is affecting our experience. If you come in in a sour mood, the experience might as well be sour. Be kind, be bright, and watch good things come to you. As for me, I'm choosing South Hill every single time! Do not go here. I was very sick and they told me that I had to do a Covid test prior to being seen. They wanted me to go pay for a Covid test, take it at home and come back if it was negative. Also the cost to be seen was going to be $189. The insurance cost to me to be seen is $25 which I told her. She then asked me if my insurance card said this. I told her it does not, but I know what my insurance charges me for Urgent care visits. A Covid test ranges in between $24-30. I said f' that and went to providence. Where I was immediately seen and treated. Zero star rating if I could do so. read more

This place is garbage I went in for a dot med card at the Spokane valley location and Dr Appleton told me if I show that I ordered a sleep apnea test he would do a 3-month temporary card after I ordered it send in the info for a week and a half I was told every couple days he has everything it'll just be a day or two and I'll get it which by stringing me along I also inadvertently was stringing along my future employer and after a week and a half of this I was then told I'm not going to get it because I did not order my test from his preferred provider which was 225 compared to 80 at daybreak where I ended up ordering it from. Every step of the way he did everything he could to deny me delay me and just simply put ever hoop he could in front of me making me delay starting my job for 4 weeks costing me about 5 grand in lost wages. I'm not a lawyer but that definitely sounds illegal and it is definitely unethical as long as a place is licensed and certified I have every right to have a medical test done where I want and it shouldn't effect the outcome of my physical I don't know if the Dr is getting some kind of incentive or kickback from his preferred provider but something seems really shady and it got 1 star because it wouldn't let me leave it with zero read more

I called to get a x-ray of my tail bone cause I believe it is Brock they won't give me x-ray cause their is nothing that can be done about I needed for possible another dr they won't do it other drs need the x-rays to give pain relief please don't go see them they found everything not to see me she said we don't give pain pills for pain they are a urgent care read more

I came here twice because it's the place my work uses. First time I came for a DOT examination, second time for work place injury. Both times the wait was absurdly long, over 2 hours. Both times the front desk lady was very rude/snippy; andI would sit here waiting my turn while people who are apparently buddies with the receptionist would come in and get served after only waiting 20 or so minutes. It's pretty clear my job works with this place because they are the lowest bidder. Don't come here if you can help it. read more

My 6 year old fell asleep on the way home from school and continued to sleep after we got home for a little bit. He woke up at 4:30pm with tears saying his right ear hurts. He said pain was between 5-7 out of 10 so I wanted him to be seen before it was too late and took him to this location by 4:45pm. I walked in and started the check in process and can just tell the other reception/ front desk lady was annoyed that we are there 15 minutes before closing. As I was filling out the paperwork, another person walked in needing to do a drug test for his work. This same lady (50-60s, shorter gray hair, the only person there not in scrubs) made a couple of snide comments to him about coming in 5 mins before them closing, that he better be ready to pee because they have to wait if he's not ready, etc. It was extremely unprofessional. The guy handled it very well, I don't know if I would've. I worked in retail banking for many years and understand the frustration of people coming in right before closing but some don't have a choice. Everyone else, including the medical assistant and the doctor were very friendly and nice. It definitely helped with the overall experience. But then as we were leaving after being examined, the same lady was giving me dirty look as we walked out. read more

This is perhaps the worst Urgent Care I have ever been to. They literally told me that they "only treat hurt people, and not sick people." What does that even mean?? Even the receptionist seemed to acknowledge that it didn't totally make sense. My right ear is clogged/closed and I just need to have it looked at, and the receptionist said they WOULD look at my ear, but because I have slight cold symptoms (VERY mild), they will not treat me. Its possible that all I need is a saline solution for my ear or some antiobiotic drops in case my ear is getting infected, and these ridiculous people won't do anything about it because I mentioned that I had "symptoms of being sick." I told them that my "symptoms" might just be due to fatigue and that I just need my ear looked at, and they still refused. These people should be ashamed of themselves. They choose nonsensical "policy" over helping people. Don't give these people your money -- go somewhere else. read more

I'm a healthcare worker and If I could give this place a zero I would. Walked in and had signs of cough and fluid in lungs. Waited over 1.5 hours in a room for the doctor when absolutely no other patients were in this clinic (and now I know why) hearing the employees outside talking and telling stories for more than half the time of me waiting I got annoyed and walked out to see the doctor talking to them and suddenly turned around acting like he was about to walk into the room. I still left because this place had bad reviews which I read while waiting forever, while the workers were having a grand ol conversation outside my door. No consideration of patients needs, time, and well being. Save yourself plenty of time and go somewhere that actually cares. read more

I've never experienced what the other reviews with less stars have experienced and I've been here 3-4 times within a year, once not for myself. Reception has always been nice. I've had to wait the longest a half hour for a doctor to see me and I don't even make appointments, although I've never gone on the weekend. The doctor is always nice, listens to everything I have to say (versus some doctors that seem to be on a time crunch) and gives me realistic expectations. What I also like about them is they'll call me after my appointment to check up on me. I won't go to any of the other urgent cares anymore. The wait is extremely long (like 2+ hours), they don't listen to all of your concerns and they're rude (I'm looking at you Rockwood Urgent Care, at several locations). read more

Due to their paperwork error and the offices refusal to take care of the problem I'm getting bills for a doctors visit from over 2 years ago. I went in after a workplace accident to get cleared to go back to work. Department of labor says us health screwed up. They say they didn't. Well if they are billing the dol and they say us health works isn't doing it correct how then does it fall back on me? Days of my life spent on the phone, making copies, tracking reports down, mailing packets across the country and still I get a phone call today about an unpaid balance. Don't let this happen to you! No respect for anyone's time, I would never recommend anyone come here... ever. Don't go here if you have suffered a concussion, these doctors are incapable of recognizing one! Despite very knowledgeable and reliable sources stating that whiplash can cause a concussion (Mayo Clinic, National Institutes of Health and National Library of Medicine) these doctors will only recognize a concussion if you present with a giant goose egg on your head. My first exam was a weak attempt to pacify me, barely scratching the surface, no compassion, snide attitude and a total disregard for my symptoms. The second exam was much more thorough, but still missed the mark. Neither physician has an ounce of compassion and their attitude towards me showed a complete disregard for the emotional aspect of my trauma. I have had three other physicians recognize my concussion but unfortunately one is family and cannot treat me on a professional basis and the other two are my regular MD and my chiropractor and neither is set up to work within the workman's comp system. My nurse was friendly and very compassionate, but cannot make up for a lack of competence from the physicians. First visit the receptionist was ok but not great. Second visit the receptionist was superb, as she was very personable with each person in the waiting room, smiled and showed concern for each individual. read more

Supposed to be a clinic that gets patients through with a sense of urgency, but I had to wait and hour! I even had an appointment to check up on a concussion and had to wait far too long. To make matters worse, the lame Dr didn't know what was going on with my case. He did a half-ass check up that took maybe 60 seconds and said he would close my case. I was/am infuriated. This urgent care supposedly opens at 8am. We arrived at 8:10am. Apparently they have only one doctor working here who was dealing with an emergency at 8am. My sister (who was miserable) was finally called to be seen at 9:35am. We were not informed that the doctor was otherwise occupied when we arrived and neither were the 5 people who showed up after us. This should have been done so the people in need of care could decide for themselves if they could wait or would rather go elsewhere. Needless to say, we will not be back. read more

Please, avoid this place! Called and was told there was no wait so I dropped everything and drove there. Not a single person in waiting room. After filling out tons of forms, most asking for the same information, I was ushered into an exam room. I noticed 4 or 5 workers chatting amongs themselves and realized that this place probably doesnt get much business. I waited and waited. One hour and 13 minutes. During this time I could hear the workers chatting and laughing. Feeling worse by the minute I put my coat on and headed for the door only to be intercepted by a nurse who told me that the doctor could see me now. I made a comment, but headed back to the room. The doc was clearly upset that I had the audacity to leave. He hurriedly checked my ears, and used his scope to listen to my rattling breathing. It was obvious that my lungs were full with mucus. After about a total of 3 minutes he announced that my lungs were clear, there was no medication he could give me and this cold would just need to run its course THE NEXT DAY: My wife was alarmed at my deteriorating consition and drove me to the Providence Urgent Care on 5th and Browne. They checked me over, then decided to give me a chest xray. The result? Full blown pneumonia in both lungs. I asked the doc at Providence what would have happened if I would have heeded US Healthworks advice. He said it could have easily killed me. Dont take chances. There's a reason all reviews for this place are so low. Avoid it!! I only wish I could give this place zero stars. read more

I have waited over 1 hour 2x for scheduled appointments. And after waiting that long twice, I had to reschedule because they still hadn't seen me. Every appointment I arrive at least 10 minutes early. They are always at least 20min late. There is a reason why this office is rated so low. Doctor is nice but I would not recommend to a friend. The patient service at this facility is deplorable. Despite making an appointment, I was left in the waiting room for an hour past my appointed time before even being taken back to a room. Once taken back to my room, I was told by the medical assistant that the doctor would need to see me, as it was my first visit. 30 minutes later, the medical assistant, Karen, told me that the doctor did not need to see me after all, and that she would take me blood. The test was a simple pre employment rubeola titer; and despite having veins like roadmaps, Karen still had to try two different locations. (Wonderful when a person is afraid of needles). I wish the experience had ended there. It did not. Prior to my test, I had called and spoken to Sheila. As I was paying for this test privately I wanted to know what my cost would be for the test. I was given a breakdown for the nurse's visit, the venipuncture charge, and the test. All said and done roughly $80. A few days later, I received a bill from another lab for the testing performed. I called US Healthworks to question this. At no time during my price inquiry was I told that the test was sent out, and that I would have received an additional bill. Naturally, had I been told this, I would have simply had my blood taken at PAML (the performing lab). When I spoke with the manager, Jen to question this communication blunder, I was told "that did not happen, we have very seasoned staff." She then had the audacity to tell me that US Healthworks had not charged me a visit fee. This seems odd, as a visit fee (in addition to the send out charges) was not mentioned by Sheila in my initial pricing inquiry. I was told then, that I would have to take it up with the performing lab. I understand that this is an Urgent Care, but the fact that there was a complete lack of any sort of patient service, and downright rude behavior is deplorable. On another note, Lori from the PAML billing department was wonderful. She went above and beyond, providing an apology for US Healthworks, and a sizable discount as US Healthworks evidently has no sense of personal responsibility. read more
