I got stuck overnight in Detroit last minute and was already facing multiple day delays in travel for returning home. I need blood thinners to fly and ran out of the supply that I brought with me due to these delays. Once I got word that I'd have to stay overnight and fly another day, I called Concentra to explain my situation and see if they could fill an emergency prescription for me. Concentra was my first stop after getting my suitcase and I was seen really quickly. The doctor understood my request and was able to get me my prescription sent to a close by 24/7 pharmacy. I was at Concentra for only about half an hour. The fact that they could take care of me so quickly and efficiently at 1:45 am really helped and is so appreciated! At the Romulus Location, the Staff are/were rude and unprofessional! They talked and treated me nastily and lied about it. Soon after the horrible incident and non-service, I went to another Concentra and they were completely professional and never rude. I had such a pleasant experience at that particular location. The Romulus location needs a complete staff overhaul. Due to legalities, I cannot go into details, but I most definitely WOULD NOT use this location's business, at least until the staff is either turned over, or are sent to Customer Service Class as well as Sensitivity Training! I wouldn't even give it one star, that's being too kind for the most unpleasant, unprofessional experience in a Medical-Patient, focused setting, that I've ever experienced in my life. read more

I would highly recommend nobody wastes their time or more important; risking their health at this location. The amount of money they bill you for the quality of health care & services does not match at all. They will make up any excuses they can is to why the amount is what it is. My biggest complaint though is definitely about the receptionist; she was beyond rude to me & not professional at all! You could clearly see that she was annoyed by the look on her face. Really makes you feel uncomfortable when your making you feel more comfortable should be their #1 goal. Same as another reviewer I'm not sure why all of the negative reviews but I had a good experience here. Easy to find, large parking lot. Uber took me right to the address with no issue. I was greeted right away, signed in and they were able to start my check in process even with a waiting room full of people. Staff was all very friendly and wore smiles I was taken back to a room within 20 minutes of check in. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to be treated by a physician based on my issue (note: they don't do vaginal exams. TMI but maybe helpful to someone) but I'm glad a nurse was able to talk to me and give me some next step suggestions on where to seek care. Waiting room was clean, has maybe 20-25 chairs, a keurig machine with coffee and tea and TV. read more

Urgent care my ass! Seems like all these people are good for is collecting piss from the local airport employees! I took my husband in for severe ear pain and they turned him away before they could even get his name, they said they were not accepting sick people! He was experiencing severe symptoms for two days already, unfortunately nothing else is open besides a hospital on the weekends, they also could not help him on a second occasion where he smashed his finger! The threw a bandage on it and sent him packing! A two year old knows how to put on a band aid! $200 for a damn bandage! If I could give these folks a 0 star, I would. They are all about taking people's hard earned money and unless you have a 100 percent health rating, its very easy for them to fail you and not worry about it. I have dealt with this group 3 times so far and will never go back to them for anything unless maybe all hell freezes over. The big companies that deal with them are ok to deal with them, with workplace health issues and or D. O. T physicals, and the top dollar they charge for it, they can keep paying, but as an individual, as a private party I will never again deal with this establishment or their employees. I told them, I needed a DOT physical done to keep my existing license. I don't drive a truck anymore, but the license cost too much, and I would have prefered to keep it alive. As of my last visit, that is not going to happen. I understand their are rules, but knowing my predicament and changing rules with new tests required if you folks would have issued me a temp card to follow up with your new requirenents, it wouldn't have cost you your lives. I work in Jackson And was forced to go to this location after the Concentra telemedicine app was experiencing "it troubles." The "care coordinator" I experienced was nice enough but I waited on the app for over an hour to talk to him just to have him try to get me to go to the Ann Arbor location 10 minutes before they closed. I asked him about another location----this one in Romulus. When I walk in the door with my mask on PROPERLY---y'know over my nose and mouth. I'm "greeted" by a rude receptionist who is wearing her mask below her mouth and nose. She clearly is not polite or friendly. I've been in the retail healthcare profession for over 7 years and this woman is so rude to me when I am just asking her a simple question of whether this will be covered by my workplace since they didn't tell me to go to Concentra in person, the care coordinator told me to because Concentra telemedicine is "broken" his words not mine for an "indeterminate amount of time." The rude receptionist says it'll be a three and a half hour wait, I sit down because I really really needed to because of all the terrible pain I'm in and say that's ok, mind you I'm in severe neck pain from a workplace injury. I am sitting there wincing in pain and realize this "receptionist" hasn't checked me in yet, I wait by the counter while she has her mask off of her mouth and nose and I check in. She is so rude to me. She almost hits me with thermometer that's supposed to be contactless.. The doctor comes out and tells the receptionist to wear her mask properly and gives me an ice pack for my back and neck pain. The doctor says that I should get dinner while I wait or I can sit in the car to be more comfortable because the seats in there were so bad on my severe neck and back pain. I ask the receptionist how will I know it's my turn if I'm at dinner and she says I have to check back a lot because they don't have the "time to text because they're so busy" Uhhhhh ok, literally asking if you have the tech that every major chain pharmacy/restaurant has to auto text me, but go off on how I expect you, who is sitting alllllllllll day to personally text me, seems like a reasonable request since y'all have that crappy telemedicine app lol. Anyway, I left because it's grim in there, the receptionist is rude and I have money in my FSA I didn't use so I called van buren urgent care and we (the receptionist over there and I) had a laugh about what a "shit hole" the Concentra was. "Do you have a 3.5 hour wait I'm in severe pain." "....no,? Our wait is probably 30 minutes or less" "Oh!!!! I'm at this shithole Concentra in Romulus and their wait is so long and I'm in pain" 35 minutes later I have a work note, a shot in my neck, reasonable follow up and I'm warm in my bed when if I stayed at that Concentra in Romulus the receptionist could have given me COVID by the time I left AND I'd still be waiting there. So yeah this place sucks. I arrived at 1:15p was taken to the back about 1:40 where the nurse came in and asked why i came in. Swimmers ear i believe. She says ok and leaves. I sat in the room til about 2:50 and the doctor rushed in no hello nothing. "So what brings you in today" ma'am you couldn't get that from the nurse in the hour I've been sitting here???. So she goes in with the otoscope and obviously it hurts but whatever, she says well I believe it's just an outer ear infection but there's wax so I can't really see... huuuhh!?!? Well yeah I haven't been able to clean my ears. So can you flush my ears just to be sure. I would rather not leave here Bc you "think" it's only an outer ear infection.... like wtf Only saving grace was the nurse I had. Can't remember her name but she was amazing. read more

Took my brother here at 3 am because he was having breathing troubles from a cold and ran out of his inhaler. He didn't want to go to the emergency room at umich because it's the emergency room. He was happy with the service the doctor gave him, was able to get a script for his inhaler. We drove 30 mins from Ann Arbor and had the script filled at the CVS on Plymouth road well before sunrise. This place is open 24/7, we just walked in without an appointment (it was after hours, they may require an appointment during business hours, I don't know for sure) and they accepted our insurance without a problem. read more

We drove about 30 minutes to this location because it was the only 24 hour one who would see a child under 14. I thought they would be faster than the ER. I was wrong. They charged me $130 for the doctor to come in and look in my daughters ears and pushed on her stomach. No additional tests at all. No urinalysis, blood test, nothing. Gave us a prescription for antibiotics and sent us on our way. Even after explaining that she hadn't eating or drank in a couple of days. The very next day she ended up in the pediatric intensive care unit for extremely low blood sugar and dehydration which ultimately caused a lesion in her brain! She could not walk or talk for 5 days! Sorry excuse of a place. My friend went there for a drug test for her new employment and they lost her urine sample. On top of that, my fiancé just lost a great job opportunity due to the poorly trained staff behind the counter. They walked away to find a doctor and left his sample on the counter. By time they returned, the sample was cold and they couldn't get a reading for the temperature. They told him to stay and wait a little longer to redo it with someone in the room but I had to work and we only have one car at the moment so he just left for the sake of me keeping my job. I came here for an exam and the doctor refused to provide medical care to me. This is after 45 minute wait, after I'd paid my copay, etc.. I was sent back into rush hour traffic in extreme discomfort with no real explanation other than that the doctors here are allowed to refuse care to both women and children. ????? It's so sad that I've been waiting for months for the day to get my toe looked at because I didn't have medical until this month. And I came to this TWENTY-FOUR HOUR urgent care to get it checked & get a small procedure done because it's been messed up for some months now, they refused to take me because they just didn't WANT TO do it. It's 8-9pm when i walked in and I just got out of work. I'm never coming back here again. I use to think it was convenient for this urgent care to be open 24 hours but I guess they CHOOSE when & who they want to see. I'm offended & irritated. I work long hours too in the medical field... this is your job, YOUR DOCTORS & NURSES NEED TO DO THEIR JOB & STOP BEING LAZY! The nurses here act like they don't care about any of the patients. Doctors refuse patients because they just don't want to. That's ridiculous. The ortho doc & nurse that worked tonight should definitely be fired. Awful service! Went there with my mom cuz she had a injury at 8pm left at 12am and only saw the doctor for 2 minutes. She Did 3 X-rays and one of them was writing wrong and they found it the next time I went there. She could barely stand or sit and had horrible pain and they gave her mortrin and sent her home. I had to go to the emergency after she fainted cuz I was 10000% sure the doctors at concentra wouldn't do anything at all... never go to this horrible place!!!! read more

This is an industrial care clinic. This is where many employers send you for your pre-employment health screen and people come for drug screens. People also are sent here with work injuries. When you go in they ask for a list of your meds and ask you to fill out a health history. Their exam consists of taking your blood pressure and sometimes your weight. They usually have you read a few lines of an eye chart, watch you bend over and touch the ground with your hands, and while you squat. They may ask a few questions. Usually takes less than 10 minutes after waiting about two hours or so. Not really much of an exam to speak of. I see them doing a lot of drug screens and I've never seen anyone come in who looked really sick. They are never in a hurry here. Doesn't seem like someplace to go if you really need help right away. Not really an urgent care facility. Just a place to go because your employer has sent you and you must have your form completed. read more

I was asked to take a pre-employment drug test at a Concentra location within 48 hours of accepting the offer. The Metro Airport location was the closest location that was open over the weekend. I read the reviews of long waits before going, but it seemed that people were writing that about many Concentra locations near me. As a result, I brought enough work to keep me busy in the waiting room in case that happened to me. However, I found the staff who interacted with me to be courteous, and they got me out and on may way in less than 20 minutes after I walked in (when I was there, only three or so people were in the waiting room, and it was a Sunday during the day). My employer got the results within a few days. It seems that for the most part, it is just people who did not have a good experience that would go out of their way to write a bad review. Your experience here could be a dice roll, but it will not necessarily be that negative. read more
