This constant turnover makes it difficult to build trust or maintain continuity of care.

I can't always make early appointments. She is over booked so any appointments around 10 and later will have to wait hours to be seen? This is ridiculous. No complaints on the office staff.

They had me in and out within an hour (unheard of for urgent care as busy as them, especially with them also being a primary care clinic.) the clinic is clean, the staff is friendly and they are very on top of it. The doctor listened to my history and what led up to today and took all of that into consideration with his treatment options. I will definitely be returning here for my urgent care needs. I'm happy that I have the option to go here if anything urgent arises and know that they care about their patients. Thank you golden state!!!

They also did an X-ray and found that I had pneumonia. The doctor was very helpful and did his very best to treat me. He gave me antibiotics, and I am forever grateful. The medical assistant and doctor were both easy to talk to and I really appreciated the doctor's calm and knowledgeable demeanor. One of my visits was for a moderately embarrassing issue and the doctor and MA helped me feel comfortable and I didn't feel any sort of judgement from either of them. My concerns were addressed both times I visited this urgent care and my issues were resolved. This isn't the closest UC to my house at all (I don't even live in this city!), but if time allows, I would absolutely choose this office again. And they are open an hour later than many other urgent cares!

I was the only one at the office on a Friday evening, so I saw the doctor pretty quickly. She was very thorough, knowledgeable, kind, and caring. My mom was an RN who taught in a school of nursing, my dad was a conscientious objector in WW Ii. He wound up serving as a medic. In the years of early. childhood there I was, in several rehab type facilities! Learning to walk with long leg braces and crutches. And in those years as I grew into adolescence I met scores of them. It felt like platoons of doctor soldiers marching in on me. To say such things as, "We'll. be seeing you in surgery tomorrow at 7 a.m." After that I interacted with countless physicians, and possibly scarred a bunch of doctorly egos. I was an awful patient because I so much wanted to be back home, exploring the field, the stream, the small forest on the hill behind our house. For a couple of years it was nothing but swarms of white jackets, PTs and exercise gear. With the occasional visit to the OR again. Hardly ever more outdoors other than getting from one building to another. Now I think of myself as a capable doctor critic. So to me Dr. Samrao is an ok physician. I didn't get a warm sense of caring from him, and maybe that's just him pulling away from his practice as he retires. That will be quite a change for him, in which I wish him well.

Personally I have found that Dr. Samrao does not respect your privacy rights. As your doctor you should be able to discuss your medical conditions openly and candidly and it should be between you and the doctor (only). Unfortunately this is not the case. I Medical (mis) diagnosis and treatments have often been prescribed for conditions I don't have and not prescribed for medical conditions I did have. As such I, as the patient, have suffered the consequences--some have taken weeks to recover from and most recently months. A simple requested X-ray would have sent me back to work several months ago. Obtain copies of all your records when you go and review them very carefully. You will be months (maybe even years) attempting to correct errors. His quackery may have cost me my job. Also, don't expect him to inform you of any possible side effects of prescriptions. Either ask or READ the paperwork with the medications. I have gone to him for 10 years. It is only in the past 3 or 4 that I have noticed the decline in the care I receive--but then in Chowchilla/Madera what do you have to compare it to? If you are a "frequent flyer" you will like him.
